WATERTOWN — The Harrisburg girls and Brookings boys won team titles at Thursday’s Watoma Invitational run at the Cattail Crossing Golf Course. 

The Harrisburg girls won the team title with 32 points, ahead of Brandon Valley (46) and Pierre (103). The Brookings boys won their team title with 43 points, ahead of Rapid City Central (59) and Brandon Valley (65). 

Harrisburg’s Hannah Genrich covered the 5,000-meter course in 17:25.08, just ahead of teammate Brianna Reilly (17:25.19) and Northwestern’s Elle Boekelheide (17:54). Pierre’s Emery Larson (18:22) and  Brandon Valley’s Sarah VanDeBerg (18:30) rounded out the top-five finishers. 

Brandon Valley junior Mikah Peters won the boys race in 15:33, ahead of Brookings’ Trevin Lounsbury (15:43) and Watertown’s Dane Stark (16:15). Sioux Falls Jefferson’s Jack Wagoner (16:18) and Watertown’s Ty Sullivan (16:21) rounded out the top-five boys finishers.
