HARRISBURG — Harrisburg’s Gabi Zachariasen was named the 2025-26 Gatorade South Dakota volleyball player of the year Friday.

The 6-foot senior outside hitter led the Tigers to a 35-2 record and a fourth consecutive Class AA state title this past season.

Zachariasen amassed 523 kills to average 5.2 per set with a hitting percentage of .377 during her senior year. She also added 215 digs, 81 aces and 40 blocks.

Zachariasen was also named to the AVCA All-American Second Team this year.

This is the third consecutive year Zachariasen was named Gatorade Player of the Year, joining O’Gorman’s Bergen Reilly (‘20-’22) as the only three-time Gatorade Player of the Year selections in South Dakota history.
