Haugen and Stevens claim All-Around titles at state rodeo finals, contestants qualify for nationals

FORT PIERRE — The South Dakota High School Rodeo Association state finals concluded Saturday at the Stanley County Fairgrounds in Fort Pierre. 

St. Lawrence’s Clay Stevens and Sturgis’ Arina Haugen captured the boys' and girls' all-around titles. While Seth Heath, Colome, and Ryen Sheppick, Pierre, were named the reserve champions. 

Dalton Grimes, of Kadoka, and Charleigh Brewer, of Wessington, claimed the 2025 boys’ and girls’ rookie titles.

Winners and the top four performers, except for bareback and tie down, where the top five, advanced to the National High School Rodeo in Rock Springs, Wyoming, on July 13-19.
