High school volleyball roundup -- Gregory tops Todd County in three-set match

MISSION -- Gregory swept Todd County in straight sets in a Tuesday prep volleyball match. The set scores were 25-20, 25-9 and 25-8.

Faulkton Area 3, Highmore-Harrold 1

HIGHMORE -- Faulkton Area downed Highmore-Harrold in a four-set high school volleyball match on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-10, 25-10, 24-26 and 25-20.

Isabel Aesoph led the Trojans with 23 kills, 24 digs and four aces. Shayna Heitmann had 18 kills, while Addison Melius finished with 15 kills and 20 digs. Camryn Deiter had 32 assists and Gabby Kast had 26 assists. Sydney Campbell finished with three aces. Kelli Stoebner had two solo blocks.

For Highmore-Harrold, Letha Jessen had 11 kills and two solo blocks. Grace Knox added six kills and one solo block, while Courtney Moser added 19 assists and 15 digs. Kendall Cermak added 14 digs and Reghan Westcott logged two aces. 


Miller 3, Redfield 1

MILLER -- Miller knocked off Redfield in a four-set volleyball match on Tuesday. The set scores were 23-25, 25-22, 25-20 and 25-20.

Ally Mullaney led the Rustlers with 18 kills and three block assists. Jaden Werdel posted one ace, 11 kills and 15 digs. Abigail Blake finished with nine kills and three solo blocks. Cynthia Ford had 19 digs, three kills and one solo block. Tyra Gates added 42 assists and 18 digs. Payton Kilker finished with 21 digs and Heather Resel had one ace. 

For Redfield, Katie Rozell, Denae Paulsen and Gracie Fast had seven kills apiece. Camryn Rohlfs finished with three aces and 24 assists. Paulsen added 12 digs and Rozell had 11 digs. Rozell added two solo blocks. Paulsen had an ace. 


Freeman 3, Scotland 1

SCOTLAND -- Freeman dropped the first set, but won the next three in a four-set high school volleyball win over Scotland on Tuesday. The set scores were 23-25, 25-18, 25-16 and 25-8.

Kate Miller led Freeman with 16 kills and 20 digs. Erin Uecker finished with nine kills and 25 digs. Ashlin Jacobsen added 25 digs, while Ava Ammann posted 27 assists and 16 digs. Paige Auch finished with seven assists and five digs. Emily Mendel had five aces. Lily Wipf recorded 20 digs and six kills. Cami Fransen posted seven digs and Ella Waltner had three digs. 

For Scotland, Delanie Van Driel had 11 kills and one ace. Martina DeBoer added five kills and seven digs. Rylee Conrad posted 21 assists and three aces. Bailey Vitek and Grace Robb posted eight digs apiece. Trinity Bietz added three kills and two aces. 


Deubrook Area 3, Deuel

DEUBROOK -- Deubrook Area swept Deuel in a Tuesday high school volleyball match. The set scores were 25-9, 25-11 and 25-11.

Emma Vandermeer finished with nine kills, 10 digs and two blocks. Skyla Petersen and Miranda Moravetz had seven kills apiece. Brooke Koppatschek and Ellie Koenig had 15 and 10 assists, respectively. Moravetz recorded 19 digs and Taylor Ekern had 14 digs. 

For Deuel, Haley Winter finished with five solo blocks, seven kills and 12 digs. Darby Koekecke had three kills and one block assist. Alyson Hagberg and Gracie Fieber had five assists apiece. Hallie Bury added 11 digs. 


Madison 3, Chamberlain 0

MADISON -- Madison swept Chamberlain in a high school volleyball match on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-10, 25-13 and 25-14.

Audrey Nelson led the Bulldogs with 18 kills, while Amanda Vacanti posted five kills, two aces and 12 digs. Kylie Krusemark had 30 assists, while Raena Rost added 17 digs. Abby Morse recorded two blocks. Karley Lurz finished with three aces. 

For Chamberlain, Mya Knippling finished with seven kills and Jaylsee Petersen had four kills. Leigha Long and Taryn Guinn had 13 and 12 digs, respectively. Chesney Mutziger had six assists and Jayd Chmela had five assists. 


Chester Area 3, Parker 0

PARKER -- Chester Area picked up a three-set sweep over Parker in Tuesday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-17, 25-17 and 25-13.

Breckyn Ewoldt finished with 16 kills and two aces, while Jayda Kenyon posted 11 kills. Lily VanHal had 29 assists and Carly Becker dished out 13 assists. Emery Larson posted 30 digs and Kaylor Geraets finished with 13 digs. 

For Parker, Brooke Berens finished with six kills and 26 digs. Katie Bialas finished with five kills and Desiree Pierce posted 37 digs. Terryn Fuller and Alexis Even had seven assists apiece. Anna Reiffenberger had 17 digs. Janae Olson recorded two blocks and Halle Berens posted three kills. 


Baltic 3, Elkton-Lake Benton 0

ELKTON -- Baltic swept Elkton-Lake Benton in straight sets in a high school volleyball match on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-17, 25-16 and 25-19.

Elyssa Clark posted 13 kills and eight digs. Emma VanRegenmorter recorded seven kills, seven digs and two aces. Cami Artz added six kills, seven digs and three solo blocks. Sami Polzin finished with 13 digs and five kills. Jacie Wendland had 16 assists and 15 digs. Baily Teveldal had 12 assists, seven digs and four kills. Madison Kennedy added 16 digs.

For Elkton-Lake Benton, Kailyn Drietz had seven kills and 17 digs. Rachael Krog added 13 digs and five kills. Madisyn Nielsen recorded five kills and three digs. Aubree Bales added six kills, while Tevan Erickson finished with 22 assists, 19 digs and three kills. Kayla Goertz added 15 digs and Kinsley Krog posted nine digs. 


Britton-Hecla 3, Waverly-South Shore 1

WAVERLY -- Britton-Hecla knocked off Waverly-South Shore in a four-set high school volleyball match on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-12, 25-10, 23-25 and 25-19.

Jenna Werner led Britton-Hecla with 10 kills and Alyssa James posted seven kills. Chloe Furman added seven aces and 20 assists. Katee Freeman finished with eight digs and McKaelyn Zuehlke had six digs. 

For WSS, Emily Heuer finished with five kills and seven assists. Sophie Dalton had three kills and three solo blocks. Sidney Stricherz and Capri Schroeder had three aces apiece, while Schroeder had nine digs. Bridget Eschen finished with seven digs. 


Canton 3, Tri-Valley 0

COLTON -- Canton swept Tri-Valley in a Tuesday high school volleyball match on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-12, 25-22 and 25-16.

Erica Bicknase led the Mustangs with three kills and Hillary Hastings posted two kills. Nevaeh Grann recorded six digs and eight assists. Hannah West had four digs and three aces. Brookelyn Stieben added two aces and seven assists. Megan Wenzel and Ava Pearson had two solo blocks. 

No stats were reported for Canton.


Viborg-Hurley 3, Menno 0

MENNO -- Viborg-Hurley swept Menno in straight sets in a Tuesday high school volleyball match. The set scores were 25-12, 25-23 and 25-21.

Coral Mason led Viborg-Hurley with 12 kills, 14 digs and five aces. Delana Mach recorded eight kills and 15 digs. Denae Mach posted six kills, 26 digs and three aces. Mataya Vannorsdel had 16 assists, six digs and two kills. Estelle Lee had eight digs and Charley Nelson had 10 digs. Gia Miller added four kills and two digs. 

For Menno, Bridget Vaith finished with eight kills. Paityn Huber posted 10 assists and eight digs. Grace Nusz posted five kills, four assists and nine digs. Julia Buechler finished with eight digs and two kills. Madelyn Kludt had seven digs, while Raygen Diede added six digs and two kills. 


Sioux Valley 3, Milbank 2

MILBANK -- Sioux Valley outlasted Milbank in a five-set high school volleyball match on Tuesday. The set scores were 22-25, 25-18, 16-25, 25-15 and 16-14.

Reagan Johnson led the Cossacks with 11 kills and 14 digs. Kaedyn Sapp added 10 kills and four solo blocks. Adison Renkly and Ashley Bjerke posted eight kills apiece. Bjerke added 27 assists and 19 digs. Kasey Pistulka logged 28 digs. 

For Milbank, Rachel Schulte finished with 19 kills, 14 digs and one solo block. Skyler Skoog had nine kills and Casside Seezs posted six kills. Addisyn Krause finished with 17 assists, while Averie Engebretson added 15 assists and 12 digs. Hallie Schulte finished with 27 digs. 


Sioux Falls Washington 3, Harrisburg 0

SIOUX FALLS -- Sioux Falls Washington swept Harrisburg in straight sets in high school volleyball action on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-23, 25-20 and 25-20.

Joslyn Richardson led the Warriors with 19 kills, 12 digs and three aces. Carlie Beckstrand and Ellie Walker had six kills apiece. Beckstrand and Kyra Thorstensen had three and two blocks, respectively. Jadyn Schetnan had 23 digs and Macie Malchow added 35 assists. Taryn Heibult posted four aces.

For Harrisburg, Morissen Samuels had eight kills, two aces and one block. Abby Meister finished with seven kills and Jada Wissink posted 10 digs. Maggie Meister finished with 11 assists and Alissa Dierks added six assists. Zoe Rallis finished with seven digs and four aces. Francie Wertz added a block. 


Sioux Falls O’Gorman 3, Sioux Falls Jefferson 1

SIOUX FALLS -- Sioux Falls O’Gorman picked up a four-set high school volleyball win over Sioux Falls Jefferson on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-19, 25-22, 15-25 and 25-23.

Isabella Steffel recorded 13 kills and Brooke Harvison finished with 34 assists. Makayla Tiahrt added 19 digs. 

For Jefferson, Emory Brosnahan posted 14 kills and Presly Pastian recorded 17 assists. Cora Hokenstad finished with 23 digs. 


Elk Point-Jefferson 3, Beresford 0

BERESFORD -- Elk Point-Jefferson swept Beresford in a Tuesday high school volleyball match. The set scores were 25-18, 25-13 and 25-21.

Josie Curry and Natalie Heuertz had eight kills and two blocks apiece. Bentlee Kollbaum posted six kills. Ashley Brewer and Danica Torrez had five kills apiece, while Torrez had 16 digs. Alyssa Chytka posted 24 digs and three aces. Sophia Giorgio had 26 assists and eight digs. 

For Beresford, Irelyn Fickbohm and Kara Niles had five kills apiece. Fickbohm had nine digs and two aces, while Niles added six digs. Larissa Tiedeman had 13 assists and four digs. Mckayla Roelke, Rachel Zanter and Savannah Beeson had seven digs apiece.
