Corsica-Stickney 3, Winner 1

CORSICA -- Corsica-Stickney downed Winner in a four-set high school volleyball match on Thursday. The set scores were 11-25, 25-22, 25-11 and 25-22.

Morgan Clites finished with 13 kills, 20 digs, one ace and one block assist in the win. Rachel Gerlach added 12 kills, 13 dig, one ace and one block assist. Payton DeLange had eight kills, one ace and one block assist. Casey Tolsma had 27 digs, seven kills and one block assist. Sutten Eide posted 33 assists, 15 digs and one ace. Avery Broughton logged six kills, four blocks and three digs. Mara Lagge added six digs.

Winner’s Ellie Brozik had 21 kills, 14 digs, 10 assists and one ace. Skyler Hansen added 12 digs, nine kills and one block. Libbie Petersek posted six kills, 13 digs, three solo blocks and two assists. Rylee Root added nine digs and two assists. Jenna Hammerbeck logged 15 digs, five assists and three kills. Lexi Klein had 17 assists, 13 digs and two aces. 


Ethan 3, Hanson 0

ALEXANDRIA -- Ethan swept Hanson in straight sets in Thursday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-13, 25-21 and 25-16.

Ethan’s Bella Nesheim logged 13 kills, 15 digs and two aces. Emily Hoffman added six kills, five aces and four digs. Hannah Bartscher posted eight kills, 25 digs and two aces. Marissa Storm logged 12 digs. Alexis Meyers finished with seven digs and two kills, while Gillian Jarding had seven digs and four kills. Aubrie Biteler had four aces.

Hanson’s Kate Haiar finished with four kills and one block. Erin Dewald had four digs and three kills. Kiana Berg logged two kills, one block and one ace. Skylar Holm and Kylie Haiar had six digs apiece, while Haiar had two kills. Avery Moschell had three kills and Taylor Schroeder posted 13 digs. 


Avon 3, Centerville 0

CENTERVILLE -- Avon swept Centerville in a Thursday high school volleyball match. The set scores were 25-11, 25-18, 23-25 and 28-26.

Avon’s Tiffany Pelton posted 21 kills, 11 digs and four blocks. Courtney Sees added eight kills and 16 digs. Reese Powers finished with six kills, four assists, three digs and one block. Katie Gretschmann had 24 digs and three aces. Samantha Brodeen had six kills and 11 digs. Makayla Kopp had 15 digs, while McKenna Kocmich dished out 23 assists and had six digs. Reece Loewe had two blocks and one kill.  

Centerville’s Bailey Hansen finished with eight kills and two blocks. Mya Bendt logged seven kills and one ace. Thea Gust posted six kills and three aces. Macey Hostetler finished with 25 assists, one ace and one kill. Sophie Eide added four kills, three blocks and one ace. Rylie Thieman had two kills, two blocks and two aces. 


Northwestern 3, Potter County 0

MELLETTE -- Northwestern swept Potter County in Thursday high school volleyball play. The set scores were 25-18, 25-13 and 25-21.

Ella Haven led the Wildcats with 21 kills, nine digs and two block assists. Mackenzie Stoltenberg finished with seven kills, while Emma Grandpre posted six kills and two block assists. Brooklinn Halvorson added 34 assists, three block assists and two aces. Ashley Haven finished with 14 digs and one ace. Payton Grandpre logged two aces. 

Potter County’s Tyler Simon had 11 kills, nine assists and one solo block. Makenna Miller added six kills, while Kirstie Lake posted 11 assists and an ace. Makaivry Schatz and Isabella Sautner had 12 digs apiece. Dakota Goebel finished with two solo blocks. Kayden Cronin had one solo block, while Ashlee Kaup had an ace. 


Parker 3, Parkston 0

PARKER -- Parkston swept Parkston in a Thursday high school volleyball match. The set scores were 28-26, 25-19 and 25-19.

Brooke Berens finished with 11 kills, five digs, one ace and one block. Katie Bialas had nine kills and two blocks. Halle Berens added 10 kills and one block. Janae Olson recorded four kills, three blocks and three aces. Terryn Fuller finished with 30 assists, two aces and one block. Alexis Even had 45 digs, while Josie Leberman added 21 digs. 

Parkston’s Mya Nuebel logged 11 kills and 20 digs. Gracie Oakley had seven kills and five digs. Brielle Bruening finished with six kills, 10 digs and two blocks. Faith Oakley and Allison Ziebart had three kills apiece, while Oakley added 24 assists, nine digs and one ace. Ziebart had 10 digs. Kiauna Hargens had 17 digs, while Abby Hohn posted two kills and two digs. Baylee Hohn finished with six digs. 


Estelline/Hendricks 3, Castlewood 1

ESTELLINE -- Estelline/Hendricks topped Castlewood in a four-set high school volleyball match on Thursday. The set scores were 25-15, 26-24, 28-30 and 25-20.

Kate Wegner and Kenzy Beare had 15 kills apiece. Wegner added 29 digs and Beare had four blocks. Sadie Johnson logged 33 assists and 33 digs. Johnson and Rachel Hexem had two aces apiece. Heidi Nicola added 38 assists. 

Castlewood’s Mackenzie Everson put down 10 kills. Kailyn Larson and Gracie Haug had 13 and 12 assists, respectively. Larson had two aces. Everson Carter had two blocks, while Maddie Horn had 29 digs and Presley Knecht had 27 digs. 

 

Aberdeen Christian 3, Leola/Frederick Area 0 

LEOLA -- Aberdeen Christian swept Leola/Frederick Area in straight sets in a Thursday high school volleyball match. The set scores were 25-13, 25-23 and 25-11.

Aberdeen Christian’s Mallory Miller finished with 14 kills and one solo block. Hanna Miller posted 13 kills. Kaylee Block dished out 27 assists and had six aces. Mary Fits posted five aces. Joy Rohrbach contributed five digs and three assists.

Leola/Frederick Area’s Laura Sumption had seven kills. Alyx Hoffman finished with five kills. Jocelynn Ellwein had eight assists, while Olivia Morlock added five assists and eight digs. Ellwein had two aces. Sofi Losure had eight digs. 


Highmore-Harrold 3, Herreid/Selby Area 2

HIGHMORE -- Highmore-Harrold outlasted Herreid/Selby Area in a five-set high school volleyball match on Thursday. The set scores were 22-25, 24-26, 25-18, 25-16 and 15-10.

Letha Jessen led the way with 15 kills and four solo blocks. Reghan Westcott posted 12 kills and three aces. Courtney Moser had 31 assists, 24 digs and one ace. Kenidy Effling had 31 digs. Grace Knox had a solo block and a block assist. 

Herreid/Selby Area’s Kendell Sawinsky had 14 kills, 31 digs and one ace. Jada Rossow followed with 10 kills and three blocks. Caitlyn Anderson and Sophia Ritter had 18 and 17 assists, respectively. Cheyenne Wurtz had four blocks, while Steph Allbee had an ace. 


Wilmot 3, Wyndmere-Lidgerwood, N.D., 0

WILMOT -- Wilmot swept Wyndmere-Lidgerwood, North Dakota, in a Thursday high school volleyball match. The set scores were 25-19, 26-24 and 25-11.

Maddie Remund and Marissa Getzlaff had five kills apiece. Kayla Hamman added three kills and a solo block. Paige Johnson posted six digs and one ace. Stacia Redday dished out seven assists. 


Vermillion 3, Canton 0

VERMILLION -- Vermillion swept Canton in a Thursday high school volleyball match. The set scores were 25-23, 25-17 and 28-26.

Vermillion’s Claire Doty led the way with six kills, three blocks, 23 assists and four aces. Brooklyn Voss added 11 kills, while Kara Klemme had five kills. Kelsey O’Neill finished with 13 digs and four aces. Serena Gapp and Annika Barnett had 11 and 10 digs, respectively. 

No stats were reported for Canton. 


Sioux Falls  Jefferson 3, Huron 1

SIOUX FALLS -- Sioux Falls Jefferson topped Huron in a four-set high school volleyball match on Thursday. The set scores were 25-18, 25-27, 25-21 and 27-25.

Sioux Falls Jefferson’s Maddie Paulsen had 14 kills and three blocks. Jaidyn Dunn added 11 kills and two blocks. Presly Pastian posted 53 assists, while Ella Kvenmo had  38 digs and three aces. Cora Hokestad had 36 digs.

Sioux Falls Washington 3, Watertown 0

SIOUX FALLS -- Sioux Falls Washington swept Watertown in straight sets in a Thursday high school volleyball match. The set scores were 25-12, 25-22 and 25-15.

Sioux Falls Washington’s Shelby Kinzer finished with 13 kills and three blocks. Joslyn Richardson had 12 kills and 17 digs. Jadyn Schetnan had 19 digs and four aces. Macie Malchow handed out 37 assists. Ellie Walker and Taryn Heibult had three aces apiece.

Watertown’s Emily Tisher and Kendall Paulson had six kills apiece. Kayla Vohlken and Maddy Rohde had 11 and nine digs, respectively. Rohde had two aces and Karlie Hanten had 18 digs. Eve Hauger and Carter Jurrens had one block apiece. 


Pierre 3, Yankton 0

YANKTON -- Pierre topped Yankton in straight sets in a Thursday high school volleyball match. The set scores were 26-24, 25-21 and 25-22.

Yankton’s Chloe McDermott had 16 kills, six digs and two blocks. Jordyn Salvatori had 14 kills, 12 digs and one ace. Camille McDermott added 29 assists, seven digs, one block and one kill.
