GARRETSON -- Garretson swept Canton in Thursday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-5, 25-19 and 25-15.

Bridgewater-Emery 3, Avon 0

EMERY -- Bridgewater-Emery swept Avon in straight sets in Thursday volleyball play. The set scores were 25-15, 25-12 and 25-8.

Bridgewater-Emery's Julia Weber recorded her 1,000th career kill in the match. No other information was reported. 



Winner 3, White River 1

WINNER -- Winner picked up a four-set high school volleyball win over White River on Thursday. The set scores were 25-15, 21-25, 25-17 and 25-22.

Ellie Brozik led the Warriors with 16 kills and 13 assists. Jenna Hammerbeck had 16 digs, 12 kills and four aces. Lexi Klein notched 19 assists and five aces. Rylee Root added four aces. Skyler Hansen finished with 13 digs. 

For White River, Karlee Cameron posted four aces, 15 kills and 17 digs. LaQuinta Baldock-Bottger finished with seven kills and two blocks. Kelsey Morrison dished out 30 assists. Tana Bear Heels finished with four aces and four blocks. Kamaria Krogman added 28 digs. 


Arlington 3, Lake Preston 0

LAKE PRESTON -- Arlington swept Lake Preston in a Thursday high school volleyball match. The set scores were 25-3, 25-12 and 25-16.

Hadley Carlson finished with 16 kills and 13 digs. Megan Larson added 10 kills, while Grace Parry posted 30 assists and two aces. Harley Johnson added two aces. 

For Lake Preston, Faith Steffensen and Marissa Rober had three kills apiece. Hadlee Holt logged 10 digs and four assists. Ava Malon had six digs.



Milbank 3, Britton-Hecla 0

MILBANK -- Milbank swept Britton-Hecla in straight sets in Thursday volleyball action. The set scores were 25-22, 25-14 and 25-15.

McKaelyn Zuehlke led the Braves with 20 kills and 12 digs. Alyssa James added 14 kills, while Kaegan Fredrickson had 11 kills. Chloe Furman had 56 assists.

Hamlin 3, Redfield 0

REDFIELD -- Hamlin swept Redfield in a Thursday high school volleyball contest. The set scores were 25-19, 25-22 and 25-21.

Gracelyn Leiseth finished with 14 kills and one block. Ally Abraham posted 13 kills. Grace Everson led the Chargers with 17 assists, while Kami Wadsworth notched 16 assists. Alyssa West, Payton Weelborg and Addison Neuendorf had two aces apiece. West and Lily Smith had 11 digs apiece.

For Redfield, Gracie Fast finished with 11 kills. Camryn Rohlfs posted 20 assists and two aces. Mallory Smith had one block and three block assists. Denae Paulsen added nine digs. 


Miller 3, Hitchcock-Tulare 0

TULARE -- Miller swept Hitchcock-Tulare in straight sets in a Thursday volleyball match. The set scores were 25-20, 25-20 and 25-20.

Jaden Werdel led the Rustlers with two solo blocks, eight kills and 14 digs. Cynthia Ford added 12 digs, seven kills and three aces. Tyra Gates finished with 27 assists and 19 digs. Abigail Blake had two aces. 

Hitchcock-Tulare’s Katelyn Schroeder had 15 kills and 18 digs. Madison Hofer added six kills, while Shandi Chasing Hawk logged 25 assists. Danielle Nowell finished with two aces. Brooklyn Frankenstein added 16 digs. Ella Johnson had one block assist. 


Highmore-Harrold 3, Wessington Springs 1

HIGHMORE -- Highmore-Harrold earned a four-set high school volleyball win over Wessington Springs on Thursday. The set scores were 25-13, 17-25, 25-13 and 25-18.

Letha Jessen finished with 12 kills and five solo blocks, while Grace Knox had six kills, two solo blocks and three aces. Courtney Moser finished with 18 assists and 29 digs. Kenidy Effling added 30 digs. Alexis Roth had five block assists. Emilee Schied had two aces. 

Avery Orth led Wessington Springs with 17 kills and five blocks. Alyssa Grohs finished with 26 assists, while Sarah Poncelow had 20 digs, five blocks, six kills and two aces. Mariah Messmer logged three aces. Raylee Fagerhaug had 23 digs. 


Viborg-Hurley 3, Sioux Falls Lutheran 0

VIBORG -- Viborg-Hurley swept Sioux Falls Lutheran in straight sets in Thursday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-21, 25-17 and 25-14.

Coral Mason led the Cougars with 20 kills and 27 digs. Mataya Vannorsdel dished out 27 assists, while Charley Nelson had 26 digs. Estelle Lee posted 19 digs, four kills and four aces. Delana Mach logged four kills, eight digs, two blocks and two aces. Denae Mach had 15 digs and three kills. 

For Sioux Falls Lutheran, Emma Stubkjaer recorded 15 kills and Sophie Stubkjaer had 18 assists. Isabella Stubkjaer added 10 digs. 


Gayville-Volin 3, Menno 0

MENNO -- Gayville-Volin knocked off Menno in straight sets in Thursday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-17, 25-21 and 25-16.

Keeley Larson dished out 41 assists and recorded her 2,000th career assist. She added 10 digs. Molly Larson added 20 kills and 24 digs. Jadyn Hubbard finished with 14 kills and 11 digs. Maia Achen logged nine kills, three aces and one block. Taylor Hoxeng notched 16 digs and two aces. 

For Menno, Josephine Stokes notched five kills and three digs. Bridget Vaith had five digs, four kills and three blocks. Raygen Diede added five digs and three kills. Julia Buechler had eight digs. Maddyn Kludt finished with 16 digs, while Grace Nusz had 10 digs, nine assists and two kills. Paityn Huber logged eight digs and six assists. 


Scotland 3, Centerville 0

SCOTLAND -- Scotland swept Centerville in straight sets in Thursday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-14, 25-16 and 25-17. 

Delanie VanDriel led Scotland with 12 kills and two aces. Trinity Bietz had nine aces, five kills and one block. Rylee Conrad notched 23 assists, six digs and three aces. Martina DeBoer and Audrey Sayler had four kills apiece. Claire Janish finished with two digs and two aces.

Centerville’s Macey Hostetler finished with nine kills and 17 digs. Mya Bendt added seven kills and 19 digs. Bailey Hansen logged four kills and 22 digs. Lillie Eide had 16 digs and Mackenzie Meyer had 15 digs. Thea Gust finished with nine digs and two kills. Sophie Eide added four digs and three kills.


Howard 3, Canistota 0

HOWARD -- Howard swept Canistota in straight sets in a Thursday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-19, 25-22 and 26-24.

Piper Thompson recorded 12 kills and 16 digs. Aleya Kizer added six kills. Rylee Rudebusch finished with 14 assists, while Emma Rudebusch had 20 digs and six assists. Abby Aslesen finished with three blocks and Ciana Schwader added two blocks.

For Canistota, Sydnee Engbrecht and Kayla Papendick had seven kills apiece. Papendick added 10 digs and Engbrecht had five digs. Natalee Hofer finished with seven assists. Taylor McGregor had six kills, while Bailey Spicer posted 11 assists and one ace. Natalee Becker had seven digs. 


Elk Point-Jefferson 3, Tri-Valley 1

COLTON -- Elk Point-Jefferson picked up a four-set high school volleyball win over Tri-Valley on Thursday. The set scores were 25-22, 21-25, 25-22 and 25-15.

Bentlee Kollbaum finished with eight kills, while Danica Torrez had seven kills. Alyssa Chytka notched 30 digs and one ace. Sophia Giorgio added 22 assists and Josie Curry had four blocks. Ashley Brewer had three blocks.

For Tri-Valley, Erica Bicknase finished with 10 kills. Allyson Haga had 15 digs, while Hannah West had 12 digs and two aces. Megan Wenzel posted five aces and two solo blocks. Brookelyn Stieben had 12 assists and Neveah Grann had eight assists. Madelyn Wenzel had four kills. 


Elkton-Lake Benton 3, Deubrook Area 1

ELKTON -- Elkton-Lake Benton earned a four-set high school volleyball win over Deubrook Area on Thursday. The set scores were 25-23, 25-20, 22-25 and 25-16.

Rachael Krog finished with 13 kills and 18 digs for Elkton-Lake Benton. Kailyn Drietz added 11 kills and 26 digs. Madisyn Nielsen had 11 kills and four digs. Kylie Ramlo had 26 digs and eight kills. Aubree Bales finished with 10 kills and four digs. Tevan Erickson had 49 assists and 19 digs. Kinsley Krog and Kayla Goertz had 14 and 13 digs, respectively.

For Deubrook Area, Skyla Petersen had 10 kills, while Emma Vandermeer had nine kills and 11 digs. Ellie Koenig finished with 14 assists. Brooke Koppatschek added 16 assists, 16 digs, five kills and three aces. Miranda Moravetz had eight kills and 30 digs. Taylor Ekern added 15 digs.

AGENCY VILLAGE -- Deuel swept Tiospa Zina in straight sets in a Thursday high school volleyball match. The set scores were 25-23, 25-13 and 25-20.

Haley Winter finished with 16 kills, 10 digs and three aces. Josie Andersen had nine kills and nine digs. Darby Koenecke had three aces. Alyson Hagberg added 19 assists. Gracie Fieber finished with nine assists. Haille Bury added 11 digs and Emma Hamann had five kills. Mckenna Olson and Hagberg each had a block assists.

Dakota Valley 3, Madison 1

MADISON -- Dakota Valley earned a four-set high school volleyball win over Madison on Thursday. The set scores were 17-25, 25-20, 25-22 and 25-19.

Jorja Van Den Hul finished with 20 kills, while Sophie Tuttle had 12 kills. Kate VanRooyan posted 36 digs and Reagan VanRooyan added 21 digs. Logan Miller dished out 51 assists. 

Madison’s Audrey Nelson had 21 kills and eight blocks. Raena Rost finished with 31 digs, while Amanda Vacanti had 18 digs and four aces. Kylie Krusemark posted 28 assists and two blocks.
