Kimball/White Lake 3, Burke 0

Kimball/White Lake earned a three-set sweep over Burke in high school volleyball action on Thursday. The set scores were 25-17, 25-20 and 26-24.

 

Northwestern 3, Langford Area 0 

Northwestern picked up a three-set sweep over Langford Area in high school volleyball action on Thursday. The set scores were 25-11, 25-13 and 25-13.

Ella Haven led the Wildcats with 14 kills and two solo blocks. Haiden Grandpre and Mackenzie Stoltenberg had six kills apiece. Brooklinn Halvorson logged 25 assists. Teryn Sparling had nine aces for Northwestern, which had 17 aces as a team. Emma Grandpre added five aces and Ashley Haven had nine digs. 

For Langford Area, Gracie Cadwell had six kills, seven digs and two aces. Ashley Cadwell recorded 10 assists, three blocks and eight digs. Morgan Glines had nine digs, while Becca Hanson and Olyvia Dwight had two kills apiece.


Scotland 3, Canistota 2

Scotland outlasted Canistota in a five-set high school marathon volleyball match on Thursday. The set scores were 25-19, 15-25, 18-25, 25-13 and 15-13.

Delanie Van Driel finished with 12 kills and two aces. Trinity Bietz added seven kills and two aces. Audrey Sayler posted five kills, while Grace Robb logged four kills, seven digs and two aces. Rylee Conrad posted 32 assists, 10 digs and three aces.

For Canistota, Kayla Papendick led the way with 10 kills and 20 digs. Taylor McGregor added nine kills, while Sierra McGregor posted six kills. Sydnee Engbrecht added seven kills, 16 digs and three aces. Natalee Hofer dished out 30 assists and Natalie Becker added 20 digs. 


Sioux Valley 3, Clark/Willow Lake 0

Sioux Valley swept Clark/Willow Lake in a prep volleyball match on Thursday. The set scores were 25-16, 25-14 and 25-18.

Reagan Johnson paced the Cossacks with 15 kills and three digs. Kaedyn Sapp added 11 kills, while Ashley Bjerke finished with seven kills, 18 assists, three aces and three digs. Taiya Vincent posted 13 digs, five aces and five digs. Kasey Pistulka logged 25 digs, while Julia Steffensen and Katie Richarz had seven digs apiece. 

For Clark/Willow Lake, Summer Seefeld had a team-high six kills. Logan Hurlbert added 14 assists and six digs. Macy Steem had eight digs. Emmah Mitchell contributed four kills and five digs.


Winner 3, Valentine (Neb.) 0

Winner earned a three-set sweep over Valentine, Neb., in a high school volleyball match on Thursday. The set scores were 25-20, 25-14 and 25-23. 

Ellie Brozik led the Warriors with 13 kills and one block. Jenna Hammerbeck and Libbie Petersek had seven kills apiece. Petersek added four aces and one block, while Hammerbeck had three aces and eight digs. Alexis Klein finished with 20 assists and 11 digs. 


Sioux Falls Washington 3, Mitchell 0

Sioux Falls Washington picked up a three-set sweep over Mitchell in high school volleyball action on Thursday. The set scores were 25-18, 25-12 and 25-18.

Joslyn Richardson put down 12 kills, while Ellie Walker finished with nine kills and 13 digs. Jadyn Schetnan had 16 digs and Macie Malchow logged 32 assists. Malchow and Shelby Kinzer finished with four aces apiece. 


Yankton 3, Beresford 0

Yankton defeated Beresford in three sets in a prep volleyball match on Thursday. The set scores were 25-13, 25-14 and 25-16.

Yankton’s Chloe McDermott finished with 12 kills, four digs and two aces. Jordyn Salvatori added 11 kills, three digs and two aces. Camille McDermott dished out 30 assists and added seven digs. 


Hamlin 3, Flandreau 0

Hamlin swept Flandreau in a high school volleyball match on Thursday. The set scores were 25-20, 26-24 and 25-22.

Ally Abraham led the Chargers with 11 kills, three blocks and three aces. Gracelyn Leiseth and Kami Wadsworth posted eight kills apiece, while Wadsworth added 10 assists. Leiseth finished with two blocks. Ava Prouty posted 15 digs and three aces. Lily Smith added eight digs and Grace Everson had 13 assists. 

For Flandreau, Lily Klein, Claire Sheppard, Lizzie Pavlis and Bella Pavlis had five kills apiece. Bella Pavlis and Abby Schoeberl had 13 and 12 assists, respectively. Sheppard logged 13 digs and Maria Parsley added nine digs. Lizzie Pavlis added three blocks and two aces. Klein contributed three blocks. 


Warner 3, Leola-Frederick Area 0

Warner picked up a three-set sweep of Leola-Frederick Area on Thursday. The scores were 25-10, 25-17, 25-10. 

Leading the way for the Monarchs was Kyra Marcuson with 11 kills followed by Jennifer Aman with eight kills. Courtney Bjorgaard added six aces and eight digs. Ava Nilsson finished the night with 20 assists and six digs. Peyton Fisher added nine assists for the Monarchs and Lauren Marcuson added five aces.

For Leola-Frederick Area, it was Sofia Losure and Morgan Sumption leading the offense with four kills apiece. Lacey Westphal had two aces and added 10 digs for the Titans. Hannah Johnson added 13 more digs alongside Olivia Morlock who contributed 10 digs. Alyx Hoffman added one solo block and one assisted.


Ipswich 3, Waubay-Summit 0

Ipswich swept Waubay-Summit in a high school volleyball match on Thursday. The set scores were 25-23, 25-11 and 25-21.

Gracie Lange led the Tigers with 17 kills, while Kaitlyn Bierman added seven kills and five aces. Baylee Kulesa added five kills and Vanessa Diaz logged three aces. Quincy Olivier dished out 26 assists and Madison Geditz had a team-high 15 digs. Kaitlyn Williams posted 10 digs. 

For Waubay-Summit, Zoey Wohleber and Katie Karst had nine and six kills, respectively. Tasha Zirbel finished with three aces and 15 assists. Wohleber and Hallie O’Riley had eight digs apiece, while Masey Chapin had two aces. 


Dakota Valley 3, Elk Point-Jefferson 1

Dakota Valley dropped the first set, but won the next three to secure a high school volleyball victory over Elk Point-Jefferson on Thursday. The set scores were 22-25, 25-17, 25-12 and 25-11.

Dakota Valley’s Jorja Van Den Hul posted 17 kills, eight digs, three blocks and three aces. Sophie Tuttle added 11 kills, 17 digs, five aces and three blocks. Sammi Archer finished with 16 digs and six kills. Kate VanRooyan finished with 29 digs, while Logan Miller had 40 assists, five kills, five digs and two blocks. Reagan VanRooyan added eight digs. Tori Schulz posted six kills, six blocks and four digs. 

For EPJ, Danica Torrez finished with eight kills, nine digs and three blocks. Alyssa Chytka recorded 27 digs, while Natalie Heuertz had seven kills. Sophia Giorgio posted 21 digs and 20 assists. Bentlee Kollbaum added nine digs, five kills and three blocks. 


Webster Area 3, Deuel 2

Webster Area outlasted Deuel to take the victory in a five-set battle Thursday in prep volleyball action. The set scores were 22-25, 25-17, 27-25, 15-25 and 15-6.

Deuel was led by Haley Winter who contributed 22 kills, 19 digs, nine solo blocks and two assisted blocks. Josie Andersen also had a big night for the Cardinals as she had two aces, five kills, and 23 digs to go alongside her three solo and two assisted blocks. Other contributors for the Cardinals were Tori Preheim and Haille Bury who each had two aces. Gracie Fieber tallied 12 assists along with 14 digs.


Madison 3, West Central 0

Madison swept West Central Thursday night in high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-16, 25-19, 25-17.

Leading the way for the Bulldogs was Audrey Nelson who accounted for 21 kills, two aces, and one block. Alongside Nelson, Amanda Vacanti tallied five aces, 12 digs and one block. Others contributing to the Bulldogs win include Abby Morse added 8 kills. Raena Rost was the dig leader with 20 and Kylie Krusemark led the way in assists with 35.

For West Central it was Grace Harden leading the way with nine kills. Jocelyn Nilson added two aces. Hanna Lee lead the way in assists for the Trojans with 23 and Mckenna Sichmeller added 4 blocks  


Parker 3, McCook Central/Montrose 2

Parker edged McCook Central/Montrose in a five-set high school volleyball match on Thursday. The set scores were 25-23, 25-21, 15-25, 14-25 and 15-13.

Brooke Berens led the Pheasants with 10 kills and 34 digs. Katie Bialas logged nine kills and Halle Berens posted six kills. Alexis Even finished with 14 assists and three aces. Josie Leberman added 28 digs, while Terryn Fuller finished with 11 assists. 

For MCM, Michaela McCormick finished with 16 kills and 32 digs. Brandy Pulse posted 17 kills and 21 digs. Tayah McGregor logged seven kills and two blocks. Brianna Even logged 42 assists, 14 digs and three aces. Aubree Kranz finished with 15 digs and two aces, while Abby Roling had 14 digs. 

Milbank 3, Sisseton 0

Milbank swept Sisseton in straight sets in a prep volleyball match on Thursday. The set scores were 25-7, 25-19 and 25-15.

Rachel Schulte led the Bulldogs with 10 kills and 12 digs. Casside Seezs and Averie Engebretson posted eight kills apiece, while Engebretson had five aces and 10 assists. Seezs finished with two aces. Skyler Skoog posted seven kills. Addisyn Krause had 16 assists and Hallie Schulte had a team-high 21 digs. 


Menno 3, Freeman Academy/Marion 0

Menno swept Freeman Academy/Marion in high school volleyball action on Thursday. The set scores were 25-14, 25-13 and 25-14.

Julia Buechler led the Wolves with five kills, four digs and two aces. Bridget Vaith and Josie Stokes had four kills apiece. Raygen Diede finished with five kills, four digs and two aces. Grace Nusz logged 10 assists, five aces and two kills. Paityn Huber added six assists, 10 digs and three aces. Maggie Miller had five digs.

For FAM, Alivea Weber had three kills, four digs and two aces. Emma McConniel added 12 digs. Hailey Stahl and Maria Cortes each had a kill. 


Corisca-Stickney 3, Centerville 0

Corisica-Stickney swept Centerville in straight sets Thursday night’s volleyball action.

The set scores were 25-15, 25-18, 25-19

The Jaguars were led by a tandem of girls. Morgan Clites had 10 kills, one set assist, eight digs and four aces. Rachel Gerlach tallied 10 kills, two and a half blocks, one set assist, six digs and an ace. Payton DeLange contributed 10 kills, one block and one dig. Others contributing for the Jaguars included Casey Tolsma and Jacey Kemp who each had one kill. Tolsma also added seven digs and three aces. Kemp also added one dig. Sutten Eide led the way in assists with 28; she also added half a block and seven digs. Cora Heidinger chipped in three digs and three aces. Rounding out the stats for the Jaguars was Mara Lagge who added two digs.

For Centerville it was Mya Bendt leading the way with seven kills. She also added one dig and two aces. Thea Gust added three more kills along with one assist, two digs, and two aces. Macie Hostefler led the way in assists with 10. Libero, Lillie Eide, led the Tornadoes with 24 digs. Others contributing for the Tornadoes include Sophie Eide who added  four kills, two digs, and an ace; along with Bailey Hansen and Klylee Westra each with two kills. 


Miller 3, Sully Buttes 0 

Miller picked up a three-set sweep over Sully Buttes in high school volleyball action on Thursday. The set scores were 25-11, 25-19 and 25-19.

Ally Mullaney led the Rustlers with 16 kills and two aces. Cynthia Ford finished with six kills and 10 digs, while Trisha Lammers logged five kills. Abbi Blake posted three aces. Tyra Gates finished with 32 assists and seven digs. Payton Kilker had eight digs, while Jaden Werdel had seven digs. 

For Sully Buttes, Aleah Schlechter had a team-high six kills, five digs, two aces and one block. Shaylee Anderberg added three kills and three aces. Joanlei Baker had three aces. Olivia Resel finished with nine assists and Heather Resel added seven assists. Jolie Palmer and Heather Resel contributed three digs apiece. Cassi VanDerWerff added two digs.
