BURKE -- Burke swept Corsica-Stickney in a Region 6B high school volleyball match on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-23, 23-25, 25-15 and 25-23. Burke will play Tripp-Delmont/Armour on Thursday.

Platte-Geddes 3, Wessington Springs 0

PLATTE -- Platte-Geddes picked up a three-set win over Wessington Springs in Region 6B volleyball action on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-14, 25-17 and 25-14. Platte-Geddes plays Avon on Thursday in Bonesteel.

Platte-Geddes' Cadence VanZee finished with 11 kills and 12 digs. Avery DeVries added 28 assists, six digs, three aces and one block. Karly VanDerWerff posted 10 kills and 11 digs. Regan Hoffman logged 13 digs and eight kills, while Baleigh Nachtigal had six digs and three assists. Hadley Hanson registered 11 digs and one ace, while Addy Boltjes had two kills and one block.

For Wessing Springs, Avery Orth had nine kills, five blocks and four digs. Sarah Poncelow had six kills and seven digs. Alyssa Grohs finished with 17 assists and eight digs. Carissa Scheel finished with three digs, two kills and two blocks. Raylee Fagerhaug added eight digs and three assists.


Avon 3, Gregory 1

PLATTE -- Avon topped Gregory in a four-set Region 6B high school volleyball contest on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-20, 26-24, 16-25 and 25-22. Avon plays Platte-Geddes on Thursday in Bonesteel.

Tiffany Pelton led the Pirates with 12 kills, 12 digs and two blocks. Courtney Sees finished with 11 kills and 11 digs. Katie Gretschmann and Sam Brodeen had 21 digs apiece. Brodeen added three kills and two aces, while Gretschmann had three aces. Makayla Kopp added nine digs and four aces. McKenna Kocmich finished with 26 assists, six digs and two aces. Reece Loewe added six kills. 

For Gregory, Brooklynn Kenzy had nine kills, 11 digs, four aces and two block assists. Jessy Jo VanDerWerff posted eight kills and 19 digs. Gracie Kenzy had 22 assists and 11 digs. Cassidy Keiser had 11 kills, while Mya Determan had six kills and four block assists.


Northwestern 3, Wilmot 0

MELLETTE -- Northwestern swept Wilmot in Region 1B volleyball action on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-4, 25-8 and 25-5. The Wildcats will play Aberdeen Christian at 7 p.m. Thursday in Groton. 

Northwestern’s Ella Haven finished with 18 kills and seven aces. Mackenzie Stoltenberg had five kills, while Brooklinn Halvorson posted five aces and two solo blocks. Ashley Haven contributed five aces and eight digs. Ella Boekelheide added six digs and Emma Grandpre had four kills.

Wilmot’s Maddie Redmund finished with three kills and Paige Johnson added two kills. Stacia Redday had three assists, six digs and one ace. Julia Anderson added six digs. 


Miller 3, Herreid/Selby Area 0

MILLER -- Miller swept Herreid/Selby Area in straight sets in Region 2B volleyball action on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-21, 25-9 and 25-14. Miller plays the Potter County on Thursday. 

Miller’s Cynthia Ford finished with 14 kills, 10 digs and one block assist. Ally Mullaney recorded 12 kills and three block assists. Jaden Werdel posted 11 kills and 20 digs. Abbi Blake finished with 12 digs and Heather Besel added 10 digs. Tyra Gates dished out 41 assists and had two aces. 

HSA’s Bella Brandner posted six kills, while Kendell Sawinsky had five kills. Jennica Berens had four kills. Stephanie Albee posted two aces and 11 digs. Sophia Ritter added nine assists, while Caitlyn Anderson had eight assists and 12 digs. Mya Ebel contributed 13 digs. 


Wolsey-Wessington 3, James Valley Christian 0

WOLSEY -- Wolsey-Wessington swept James Valley Christian in a Region 3B volleyball match on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-12, 25-20 and 25-20. Wolsey-Wessington plays Castlewood on Thursday.

Wolsey-Wessington’s Mya Boomsma finished with 18 kills and two aces. Leah Williams added nine kills, while Macie Luce had 14 assists. Lainey Uttecht posted 18 digs and Hailey Clarke dished out 11 assists. Giyahna Richmond had four blocks. 

JVC’s Brenna Held had six kills and 19 digs. Autumn Gross posted four kills and two aces. Jolie Dowling had four blocks and three kills. Karilyn Wieting had 12 assists and Colleen Wipf had 18 digs. Lily Hofer had three blocks. 


Highmore-Harrold 3, Ipswich 2

HIGHMORE -- Highmore-Harrold rallied from a 2-1 deficit and outlasted Ipswich in a five-set Region 2B volleyball match on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-8, 25-27, 10-25, 25-19 and 15-8.

Highmore-Harrold’s Letha Jessen finished with 13 kills and two solo blocks. Grace Knox logged seven kills and two solo blocks. Courtney Moser added three aces, 27 assists and 20 digs. Emilee Schied had two aces, while Reghan Westcott had 16 digs. 

Ipswich’s Gracie Lange finished with 12 kills and three aces. Quincy Olivier had five kills and 11 assists. Katie Bierman had eight assists and four aces. Madison Geditz and Baylee Kulesa had 23 and 18 digs, respectively. 


Winner 3, Crow Creek 0

WINNER -- Winner swept Crow Creek in Region 6A volleyball action on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-7, 25-13 and 25-10. Winner plays Dupree in the next round Thursday.

Winner’s Ellie Brozik finished with 12 kills and 12 assists. Skyler Hansen logged eight kills. Lexi Klein and Rylee Root had four and three aces, respectively. Jenna Hammerbeck, Karlee Brozik and Libbie Petersek each had a block. Klein and Hammerbeck had nine and eight digs, respectively. 


Redfield 3, Clark/Willow Lake 0

REDFIELD -- Redfield took care of Clark/Willow Lake in Region 1A volleyball action Tuesday. The set scores were 25-19, 25-17, 25-22. Redfield plays Groton Area at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in Henry. 

Redfield was led by Katie Rozell and Gracie Fast who finished with ten kills. Rozell added a solo block and two assisted blocks. Camryn Rohlfs finished with four aces and dished out 28 assists on the night. Fast led the Pheasants with 11 digs. Denae Paulson and Chelsea Smith each contributed 10 digs for Redfield. 

No stats were reported for Clark/Willow Lake.


Arlington 3, Lake Preston 0

ARLINGTON -- Arlington swept Lake Preston in Region 3B volleyball action on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-13, 25-10 and 25-14. Arlington hosts Estelline/Hendricks at 7 p.m. Thursday.

Arlington’s Hadley Carlson led the way with 10 kills and 11 digs. Erin Haufschild finished with seven kills, while Morgan Larson finished with seven kills. Addie Steffensen recorded 29 assists and 10 digs. Harley Johnson and Natalie Burns posted three aces apiece.

For Lake Preston, Annika Nelson posted four kills and three blocks. Marissa Rober and Faith Steffensen had two kills apiece, while Steffensen had a block. Jocelyn Steffensen had five assists and one ace. Ava Malone recorded 14 digs and Hadlee Holt added nine digs. 


Estelline/Hendricks 3, De Smet 0

ESTELLINE -- Estelline/Hendricks swept De Smet in Region 3B volleyball action on Tuesday. The set scores were 30-28, 25-19 and 25-23. Estelline/Hendricks plays Arlington at 7 p.m. Thursday in the next round. 

Estelline/Hendricks’ Kate Wegner and Kenzy Beare had 11 kills apiece. Beare finished with three blocks and three aces. Wegner added 20 digs. Heidi Nicola and Brooke Johnson had three aces apiece. Sadie Johnson finished with 26 assists and 22 digs. Nicola logged 21 digs. 

De Smet’s Jada Burke finished with 10 kills, 13 digs and two blocks. Kennadi Buchholz posted eight kills, eight blocks and 12 digs. Cori Birkel finished with eight digs and six blocks. Katelyn Halverson dished out nine assists and Emma Albrecht had six assists. 


Elkton-Lake Benton 3, Deuel 0

ELKTON -- Elkton-Lake Benton topped Deuel in three sets in Region 2A volleyball action on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-11, 25-17 and 25-22. Elkton-Lake Benton plays Deubrook Area on Thursday. 

Elkton-Lake Benton’s Kailyn Drietz put down 13 kills and had six digs. Rachael Krog logged 15 kills, 13 digs and four aces. Tevan Erickson posted 32 assists, eight digs and one solo block. Aubree Bales posted eight kills and three digs. Kylie Ramlo added three kills and seven digs. Madisyn Nielsen posted three assists and three kills. 

For Deuel, Alyson Hagberg had 12 assists and 12 digs. Haley Winter posted 10 kills and nine digs. Gracie Fieber added six assists, while Haille Bury added eight digs. Darby Koekecke had four kills.


Deubrook Area 3, Flandreau 1

DEUBROOK -- Deubrook Area topped Flandreau in a four-set Region 2A high school volleyball match on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-23, 16-25, 25-10 and 25-9. Deubrook Area plays Elkton-Lake Benton on Thursday in the next round.

Deubrook Area’s Skyla Petersen had 11 kills and Emma Vandermeer posted eight kills. Vandermeer logged 17 digs and two aces, while Miranda Moravetz posted 18 digs. Delaney Pedersen finished with four aces and Ellie Koenig had two aces and 19 assists. Brooke Koppatschek dished out 15 assists. 

Flandreau’s Claire Sheppard had nine kills, while Bella Pavlis posted eight kills, 13 digs and 12 assists. Maria Parsley finished with 16 digs. Abby Schoeberl logged 18 assists and two aces. Lily Klein had one ace. 


Dakota Valley 3, Vermillion 0

NORTH SIOUX CITY -- Dakota Valley swept Vermillion in Region 4A volleyball action on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-9, 25-16 and 25-15. Dakota Valley plays Parker on Thursday. 

Dakota Valley’s Jorja Vandenhul finished with 11 kills and five aces. Logan Miller added 31 assists, four aces and three digs. Sophie Tuttle posted seven digs and five kills. Tori Schultz contributed eight kills and two blocks. Sam Archer posted eight digs and four kills. Jorja Vandenhul logged 11 kills and five aces. Kate VanRooyan had eight digs, while Ella Reifenrath had six digs. Madeline Stout put down seven kills. 

Vermillion’s Brooklyn Voss logged seven kills, while Serena Gapp had four kills and 11 digs. Claire Doty had 13 assists, while Kelsey O’Neill had eight digs. Kara Klemme contributed six digs and two kills, while Annika Barnett posted six digs. 


Madison 3, Dell Rapids 2

MADISON -- Madison edged Dell Rapids in a five-set high school volleyball match on Tuesday in Region 3A volleyball action. The set scores were 25-21, 25-14, 14-25, 16-25 and 15-2. Madison plays Garretson on Thursday. 

Madison’s Audrey Nelson finished with 23 kills and three blocks. Megan Schouwenburg posted seven kills. Amanda Vacanti and Raena Rost had five and three aces, respectively. Rost added 23 digs and Callie McDermott posted 14 digs. Kylie Krusemark finished with 34 assists and blocks. Abby Morse logged two blocks. 

For Dell Rapids, Madelynn Henry had 12 kills, 13 digs and three aces. Sophia Randall had 11 kills, 21 assists and three blocks. Riley Hill had two aces. Emma Molskness and Kenzie Garry had nine digs apiece. Kylee Fiddelke added two blocks. 


Parker 3, Canton 1

PARKER -- Parker topped Canton in a four-set Region 4A volleyball match on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-20, 21-25, 25-22 and 25-20. Parker plays Dakota Valley in the next round on Thursday 

Parker’s Brooke Berens logged two aces, nine kills and 38 digs. Katie Bialas posted seven kills and two blocks. Halle Berens finished with six kills, while Janae Olson posted five kills and two blocks. Anna Reiffenberger posted four kills and 17 digs. Terryn Fuller added 30 assists and Alexis Even posted 57 digs. Josie Leberman added 11 digs.

Elk Point-Jefferson 3, Lennox 1

ELK POINT -- Elk Point-Jefferson defeated Lennox in a four-set Region 4A volleyball match on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-11, 25-20, 23-25 and 25-21. EPJ will host Beresford in the next round on Thursday. 

Elk Point-Jefferson finished with Bentlee Kollbaum logged 10 kills and five digs. Danica Torrez and Josie Curry had nine kills apiece, while Torrez finished with 23 digs. Natalie Heuertz had eight kills and Ashley Brewer had seven kills. Sophia Giorgio added 18 digs, 35 assists, two aces and two kills. Alyssa Chytka posted 44 digs, three assists and two aces. 

Lennox’s Dani Highum posted 10 kills, 17 digs, while Kate Jackson had 17 digs and three aces. Courtney Sandal added 27 digs and six kills. Carli Kuyper had seven kills and two blocks. Myra Whitehead finished with eight kills and two blocks. Ashlee Sweeter finished with 19 digs and Lilly Meyer logged 13 digs.
