CORSICA -- Corsica-Stickney earned a straight sets sweep over Marty in Region 6B volleyball action on Monday. The set scores were 25-9, 25-12 and 25-8.

Corsica-Stickney’s Morgan Clites recorded eight digs, including her 1,000th career dig, 17 aces, two kills and two blocks. Rachel Gerlach posted eight aces, three kills and two blocks. Payton DeLange added five kills and three digs. Casey Tolsma logged three kills and three digs. Sutten Eide posted 14 assists, while Mara Lagge had four digs. Jacey Kemp added four aces and two kills. Cora Heidinger had two digs and Avery Broughton added three aces. Corsica-Stickney plays Burke on Tuesday in the second round.

Centerville 3, Freeman Academy/Marion 0

CENTERVILLE -- Centerville swept Freeman Academy/Marion in straight sets during a Region 5B volleyball match on Monday. The set scores were 25-21, 25-18 and 25-21.

Centerville’s Thea Gust had seven kills, six digs and two aces. Macey Hostetler posted 15 assists, five digs and two aces. Bailey Hansen added 28 digs, seven kills and one ace. My Bendt had 20 digs, while Lillie Eide had 22 digs. Rylie Tieman added three kills and one block. Centerville plays Gayville-Volin in the second round on Tuesday. 

For FAM, Leah Goodwin had 22 kills and three aces. Alivea Weber finished with 36 digs, 19 kills and three aces. Isabelle McConniel posted 40 assists, while Emma McConniel recorded 36 assists.

Howard 3, Mitchell Christian 0

HOWARD -- Howard swept Mitchell Christian in straight sets in a Region 4B volleyball action on Monday. The set scores were 25-7, 25-13 and 25-9.

Howard’s Kate Connor finished with eight kills, while Taryn Mentele, Aleya Kizer and Becca Feldhaus posted four kills apiece. Feldhaus and Ciana Schwader had three aces apiece. Rylee Rudebusch finished with 11 assists, while Tana Hoyer finished eight assists and seven digs. Katlin Schlim had 10 digs, while Marina Kollmann had seven digs. Abby Aslesen had two blocks. Howard plays Bridgewater-Emery in the second round on Tuesday. 

Mitchell Christian’s Whisper Eben had five kills and 19 digs. Keely O’Neill had five assists, 13 digs and one kill. Madelyn Nebelsick had an ace. 

Leola/Frederick Area 3, Waubay/Summit 0

WAUBAY -- Leola/Frederick Area swept Waubay/Summit in a Region 2B volleyball action on Monday. The set scores were 25-18, 25-15 and 25-18.

Laura Sumption led Leola/Frederick Area with nine kills, while Alyx Hoffman had five kills. Jocelynn Ellwein recorded 16 assists. Sofi Losure posted 17 digs, two aces and one solo block. Hannah Johnson recorded 12 digs. Leola/Frederick Area plays Warner on Tuesday in the second round.

Lake Preston 3, Iroquois/Doland 0

LAKE PRESTON -- Lake Preston picked up a straight sets sweep over Iroquois/Doland in Region 3B action on Monday. The set scores were 25-18, 25-20 and 25-14.

Lake Preston’s Jocelyn Steffensen finished with nine digs and 10 assists. Annika Nelson had seven kills, while Hadlee Holt posted three kills and four assists. Faith Steffensen added two blocks, four aces and seven kills. Ava Malone had nine digs and three aces. Hadlee Holt had four assists and three kills. Milli Waikel had three aces. Lake Preston plays Arlington in the second round on Tuesday. 

Iroquois/Doland’s Rebecca Bich finished with four assists, six kills and 15 digs. Katie Dubro had four kills and one ace, while Harley Nelson had two aces, nine assists and 13 digs. Anna Decker had two blocks and 14 digs.
