Platte-Geddes 3, Ethan 2

ETHAN -- Platte-Geddes outlasted Ethan in a five-set high school volleyball match on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-22, 19-25, 21-25, 26-24 and 15-9. No other information was provided. 


Bridgewater-Emery 3, Centerville 0

CENTERVILLE -- Bridgewater-Emery topped Centerville in straight sets in a Tuesday high school volleyball match. The set scores were 25-9, 25-8 and 25-8.

Julia Weber led the Huskies with 15 kills and seven digs, while Taylor Schallenkamp had eight kills, five digs and two aces. Casey Meyer recorded 12 assists and three aces. Kaitlyn Roskens had 26 assists, six digs and five aces. Cara Meyer logged 14 digs and eight aces. Chloe Schmitt put down four kills and Morgan Uptagrafft had three kills. 

For Centerville, Mya Bendt posted four kills and 10 digs. Thea Gust and Rylie Tieman had two kills and two digs apiece. Tieman added two aces. Bailey Hanson had 18 digs and one kill, while Lillie Eide had seven digs. Sophie Eide logged six digs and one kill. 


Avon 3, Bon Homme 2

TYNDALL -- Avon edged Bon Homme in a five-set high school volleyball match on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-17, 23-25, 25-22, 21-25 and 15-7.

Avon’s Tiffany Pelton posted 21 kills, 11 digs and two blocks. Courtney Sees logged 15 kills and 13 digs. Sam Brodeen finished with eight kills, 17 digs, two aces and one block. Katie Gretschmann added 25 digs and two aces. Makayla Kopp logged 18 digs and two aces. Reece Loewe had three kills and two digs. McKenna Kochmich dished out 27 assists, added seven digs and two aces. Reese Powers posted six digs and two assists.

For Bon Homme, Olivia Bures finished with 24 kills, 13 digs and one block. Jenna Duffek had 16 kills, nine digs, one ace and one block. Erin Heusinkveld finished with seven digs, six kills, five blocks and one ace. Kenadee Kozak posted 22 digs, three kills and one block. Jurni Varuska finished with four kills, four digs, two blocks, two assists and one ace. Jaden Kortan handed out 43 assists, four digs, four kills, one ace and one block. 


Colman-Egan 3, Gayville-Volin 0 

COLMAN -- Colman-Egan swept Gayville-Volin in straight sets in Tuesday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-17, 25-20 and 25-20.

Colman-Egan’s Mackenzie Hemmer finished with 11 kills, 13 digs and two solo blocks. Hailey Larson logged 17 kills and 10 digs. Ava Mousel dished out 14 assists and had two aces. Lanie Mousel added 15 assists. Berkley Groos posted nine digs. 

Gayville-Volin’s Jadyn Hubbard led the way with 18 kills and 12 digs. Molly Larson recorded 16 kills and 17 digs. Keeley Larson handed out 40 assists, while Ayla Dimmer added 20 digs. 


Arlington 3, De Smet 0

ARLINGTON -- Arlington defeated De Smet in straight sets in a Tuesday high school volleyball match. The set scores were 25-15, 25-20 and 25-14.

Arlington’s Hadley Carlson recorded 15 kills and 15 digs. Erin Hauschild posted nine kills and four aces. Grace Parry recorded 30 assists. Addalyn Steffensen posted 13 digs and Harley Johnson had two blocks. 

For De Smet, Kennadi Buchholz had 11 kills, 14 digs and seven blocks. Jada Burke added four kills and 10 digs. Cori Birkel had three kills. Katelyn Halverson posted seven assists and Megan Albrecht recorded four assists. Jacie McCune posted two blocks. 


Elkton-Lake Benton 3, Estelline/Hendricks 0 

ELKTON -- Elkton Lake Benton logged a three-set sweep over Estelline/Hendricks in a Tuesday high school volleyball match. The set scores were 25-19, 25-19 and 25-19.

Elkton-Lake Benton’s Kailyn Drietz led the way with 11 kills, 10 digs and two aces. Rachael Krog added six kills, 24 digs and two aces. Madisyn Nielsen recorded seven kills, while Kylie Ramlo and Aubree Bales had five kills apiece. Ramlo added eight digs. Tevan Erickson finished with 31 assists and 23 digs. Kayla Goertz had 17 digs and Kinsley Krog added eight digs. 

For Estelline/Hendricks, Kenzy Beare finished with eight kills and six digs. Kate Wegner posted four kills and 21 digs. Brooke Johnson added 14 digs and four kills. Danielle Hawley had seven digs and two kills. Sadie Johnson posted 22 digs and 16 assists. Heidi Nicola had 14 digs. 


Groton Area 3, Redfield 1

REDFIELD -- Groton Area topped Redfield in a four-set high school volleyball match on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-22, 16-25, 25-13 and 25-21.

Madeline Fliehs finished with 12 kills, while Aspen Johnson had 11 kills and one solo block. Liz Fliehs dished out 37 assists and added five aces. Sydney Leicht recorded three aces. Alyssa Thaler had 22 digs and Allyssa Locke had 14 digs.

For Redfield, Gracie Fast finished with 19 kills and Katie Rozell had nine kills. Camryn Rohlfs had 22 assists and 16 digs. Chelsea Smith finished with six block assists. Denae Paulsen posted two aces. 


Miller 3, Highmore-Harrold 1

HIGHMORE -- Miller picked up a four-set high school volleyball win over Highmore-Harrold on Tuesday. The set scores were 23-25, 25-12, 25-15 and 25-16.

Miller’s Ally Mullaney recorded 17 kills and one solo block. Tricia Lammers added six kills, while Tyra Gates posted 15 digs and 35 assists. Tyra Gates had 15 digs. Abbi Blake had one solo block and four block assists. Ruby Carder and Aleah Schlechter had three and two aces, respectively. Jaden Werdel had 19 digs.

For Highmore-Harrold, Letha Jessen posted 13 kills and one solo block. Grace Knox finished with three aces, two solo blocks and nine kills. Courtney Moser added 22 assists and 12 digs. Reghan Westcott had 12 digs and Emilee Schied had one ace. 


Hitchcock-Tulare 3, Wessington Springs 0

TULARE -- Hitchcock-Tulare swept Wessington Springs in a Tuesday high school volleyball match. The set scores were 25-22, 25-23 and 25-22.

Hitchcock-Tulare’s Katelyn Schroeder recorded 24 kills, while Bethany Wiebe added eight kills. Shandi Chasing Hawk recorded 39 assists and five aces. Madison Hofer recorded 20 digs, one ace and one solo block. Brooklyn Frankenstein had 22 digs. 

For Wessington Springs, Avery Orth finished with 13 kills, 14 digs, six blocks and two aces. Carissa Scheel logged six kills and one ace. Alyssa Grohs added 24 assists. Raylee Fagerhaug added 20 digs. 

 

Mount Vernon/Plankinton 3, Sanborn Central/Woonsocket

FORESTBURG -- Mount Vernon/Plankinton outlasted Sanborn Central/Woonsocket in a five-set high school volleyball match on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-15, 22-25, 25-23, 23-25 and 15-12.

Brooke Doering led SCW with 22 kills and 20 digs. Trista White added 12 kills and 37 digs. Dayton Easton recorded 33 digs, while Kenna Ochsner had nine kills and seven blocks. Teya Moody logged 38 assists. 
No MVP stats were reported. 

Scotland 3, Menno 1

SCOTLAND -- Scotland earned a four-set high school volleyball victory over Menno on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-21, 22-25, 25-19 and 25-16.

Delanie VanDriel recorded 11 kills, two blocks, three aces and four digs. Martina DeBoer recorded seven kills and one block. Audrey Sayler finished with five kills, two aces and one block. Rylee Conrad recorded 25 assists and one ace. Trinity Bietz had an ace. 

For Menno, Bridget Vaith finished with six kills and one block. Raygen Diede added five kills and Josephine Stokes added three kills. Stokes had a team-high three aces and one block, while Paityn Huber and Grace Nusz had two aces apiece. Huber added six assists and Nusz recorded 12 digs. Julia Buechler had a team-high 24 digs. Madelyn Kludt recorded 11 digs. 


Sunshine Bible Academy 3, Lower Brule 1

MILLER -- Sunshine Bible Academy earned a four-set high school volleyball match on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-20, 15-25, 25-22 and 25-17.

Liza Konechne put down 11 kills, while Aja Paul posted nine kills, four aces, three digs and one ace. Sadie Konechne recorded eight kills. Betra Amare added one dig, four aces and 15 assists. Kimberly Robbins had five digs. 

No stats were reported for Lower Brule. 


Elk Point-Jefferson 3, Vermillion 2

ELK POINT -- Elk Point-Jefferson outlasted Vermillion in a five-set high school volleyball match on Tuesday. The set scores were 13-25, 21-25, 25-20, 25-13 and 15-7.

Ashley Brewer and Josie Curry finished with 10 kills apiece, while Brewer had six digs. Alyssa Chytka recorded 38 digs and four assists. Danica Torrez had 21 digs and seven kills. Natalie Heuertz posted seven kills. Nicole Wriedt and Sophia Giorgio had 13 digs apiece, while Giorgio had 34 assists and three aces. 

Vermillion’s Serena Gapp finished with 15 kills and one ace. Brooklyn Voss had 13 kills and two blocks. Kara Klemme had 22 digs and Annika Barnett had 20 digs. Hannah Christopherson posted two aces. Claire Doty dished out 37 assists. Brooke Jensen logged eight kills and three blocks. 


Sioux Falls Washington 3, Sioux Falls Jefferson 2

SIOUX FALLS -- Sioux Falls Washington edged Sioux Falls Jefferson in a five-set high school volleyball match on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-20, 18-25, 25-21, 11-25 and 15-11.

Sioux Falls Jefferson’s Maddie Paulsen posted 13 kills and four blocks. Presly Pastian posted 34 assists, while Cora Hokestad had 27 digs. Laney Peterson added three aces.
