RAPID CITY — The Hill City boys and Philip girls claimed Region 6B golf titles on Thursday at Hart Ranch.

The Hill City boys scored a 236, followed by Wall (246) and Philip (251). Hill City and Wall qualified as teams for the state tournament. The Philip girls shot a 275, followed by Harding County (341) and Mahpiya Luta (348). Philip and Harding County qualified as teams for the state tournament. 

Individually, Hill City’s Breylon Rahn (+1) was the individual boys medalist. He shot a 35 on the front nine and a 38 on the back nine, while he totaled four birdies on the day. McIntosh’s Wyatt Larson (+3) and Wall’s Emmet Dinger (+4) placed second and third, respectively. White River’s Bryson One Star (+5) and Timber Lake’s Hadley Thompson (+6) took fourth and fifth, respectively.

Philip’s Taylor O’Connell (+10) was the individual girls medalist. She shot a 38 on the front nine and a 44 on the back nine. Philip’s Addy Miller (+23) and Kendall O’Connell (+26) placed second and third, respectively. Harding County’s Brayden Padden (+26) and Mahpiya Luta’s Brooklyn Twiss (+32) took fourth and fifth, respectively.
