WALL — Hill City’s Zane Messick edged White River’s Bryson One Star in a five-hole playoff to win individual medalist honors at Monday’s Wall Invitational.

Messick and One Star both shot 71s after 18 holes, before Messick won the five-hole playoff. Messick and One Star both shot 37s on the front nine and 34s on the back nine. 

Wall’s Emmet Dinger (72), Philip’s Shay Weber (73) and Wall’s Trevor Schulz (74) rounded out the top-five golfers. 

Philip’s Addy Miller won the girls individual medalist honors with an 80. She shot a 38 on the front nine and a 42 on the back nine. Philip’s Kendall O’Connell (90) and Wall’s Hallie Handcock (92) finished second and third, respectively. 

Wall won the boys team title, followed by Hill City and Philip. Mahpiya Luta won the girls team title, followed by Wall and Philip.
