Platte-Geddes 56, Gregory 53

PLATTE — Jackson Neuman drilled a 3/4 court shot at the buzzer to lift Class B No. 5 Platte-Geddes to a boys basketball win over Gregory on Monday. 

Caden Foxley had 14 points and eight rebounds. Dawson Hoffman finished with 12 points. Neuman and Cade Nachtigal had nine points apiece, while Hayes Rabenberg had six rebounds.

Daniel Mitchell, who hit a game-tying 3-pointer with five seconds left, scored 18 points for the Gorillas. Rane Kenzy had 12 points and Cruz Klundt had 11 points. Carson Klundt had seven points and seven rebounds. 


Stanley County 56, McLaughlin 43

FORT PIERRE — Three players scored in double figures to lead Stanley County to a boys basketball win over McLaughlin on Monday. 

Cormac Duffy and Lathan Prince led the Buffaloes with 14 points apiece. Stran Scott added 11 points, while Daysen Titze had eight points. Gavin Irving scored five points.

McLaughlin’s Elias Sims netted a game-high 20 points. Lane Lawrence added six points, while Levyn White Bull and Jre Antelope scored five points apiece. 


Standing Rock, N.D., 75, Mobridge-Pollock 70

MOBRIDGE — Standing Rock, North Dakota, outlasted Mobridge-Pollock in a boys basketball contest on Monday. 

Standing Rock’s Brently Harrison logged 23 points, seven rebounds and six steals. Drew Bordeaux recorded 16 points and five rebounds, while John Luger added 15 points and five rebounds. 

Mobridge-Pollock’s Trent Schmeichel finished with 15 points and four rebounds. Caelan McCollam added a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Ashton Pfitzer logged a 13-point, 12-rebound double-double. Thane Beheler had nine points and six boards. 


West Central 67, Baltic 13

HARTFORD — West Central pulled away from Baltic for a boys basketball win on Monday.

Braden Dierickx scored 17 points, four assists, and four steals, while Owen Heath tallied nine points and six rebounds. Carter Schmeichel recorded eight points, while Braden Herr added seven points and seven rebounds.

Baltic’s Mark Ditter scored six points.


Dakota Valley 72, West Sioux, Iowa 48

WEST SIOUX, Iowa — Class A No. 1 Dakota Valley remained undefeated with a boys basketball win over West Sioux, Iowa, on Monday. 

Dakota Valley’s Isaac Bruns led the way with 26 points, while Randy Rosenquist added 15 points. Jaxon Wingert tossed in 11 points. 

 

Tea Area 62, Tri-Valley 29

TEA — Three players scored in double figures to lead Class A No. 4 Tea Area to a boys basketball win over Tri-Valley on Monday. 

Jeff Worth led the Titans with 17 points, while Cael Lundin added 15 points, five assists and four rebounds. Tri-Valley’s Reis Kirschenmann logged 10 points and six rebounds. Cole Schilling and Klayton Sattler scored five points apiece. Sattler added three blocked shots and Schilling collected four rebounds. 

Tri-Valley’s Connor Christensen finished with 12 points and five rebounds. Lance Dewitt and Riley Carlson added five points apiece. 

 

Dell Rapids 77, Parker 58

PARKER — Five players scored in double figures to lead Dell Rapids to a boys basketball win over Parker on Monday. 

Jack Henry led the Quarriers with 18 points, while Landon Ruesink finished with 14 points. Brayden Pankonen tossed in 13 points and added five steals. Aiden Boechler and Cam Justice scored 10 points apiece. Justice added seven rebounds, while Shane Stone added nine points and four points. 

Parker’s Carter Robertson tossed in a game-high 27 points. Davin Fuller followed with 16 points and grabbed five rebounds. Jaivyn DeBoer scored seven points and Landri Halzworth grabbed five rebounds. 


Leola/Frederick Area 63, Wilmot 55

WILMOT — Ethan Morlock and Noah Kippley combined for 30 points to pace Leola/Frederick Area to a boys basketball win over Wilmot on Monday. 

Morlock finished with 18 points, while Kippley added 12 points. Mason Hinz scored nine points and Colton Spitzer added eight points. Hans Lapka recorded six points, while Brayden Sumption netted five points. 

Trey Jurgens poured in a game-high 33 points. Ben Kasuke scored six points, while Dennis Creadon, Brayden Ebben and Albert Heminger scored five points apiece. 


Red Cloud 72, Little Wound 42

PINE RIDGE — A balanced scoring attack lifted the Red Cloud Crusaders to a win Monday at the Lakota Classic at Lakota Tech high school.

Haedan Haas led Red Cloud with 15 points. Adriano Rama and Josiah Cottier each had 13 points for the Crusaders as they rolled to a 72-42 win.

Dylan Cuny led Little Wound with 17 points, while Trey Yellow Boy added 12 points for the Mustangs


Oelrichs 39, Crazy Horse 34

PINE RIDGE — Leading 33-32 with 3:45 remaining the Oelrichs boys found their stride.

Baskets from Jaylen Rouillard and Tyriece Two Lance helped stretch the lead late as the Tigers earned a 39-34 win over Crazy Horse.

Justin Eagle and Anthony Little led Oelrichs with nine points apiece. Stanley Walking added eight points while Quentin Rouillard chipped in with seven.

Jaysen Meeter led Crazy Horse with 10 points.


Girls basketball

Canistota 55, Freeman Academy/Marion 35

MARION — Hannah Hoffman recorded a school record eight three-pointers to lead Canistota to a girls basketball win over Freeman Academy/Marion on Monday.

Hoffman scored a game-high 27 points and broke the previous record set by Harley Cormany with seven 3-pointers in 2020. Natalie Becker stuffed the stat sheet with 11 points, 17 rebounds, seven assists, and three steals. Sydnee Engbrecht added eight points and Alyssa Pierson grabbed nine rebounds.

For FAM, Alivea Weber recorded 14 points, while Jada Koerner added 12 points and eight rebounds. Leah Goodwin tallied nine boards. 


Bridgewater-Emery 61, Bon Homme 48

TYNDALL — Bridgewater-Emery picked up a girls basketball win over Bon Homme on Monday.

Julia Weber scored a game-high 19 points and grabbed seven rebounds, while Morgan Uptagrafft tallied 13 points and five rebounds. Taylor Schallenkamp logged 12 points and 12 boards, while Chloe Schmitt scored nine points and five boards. 

For BH, Jurni Vavruska tallied 17 points, eight rebounds, and five assists, while Olivia Bures scored eight points, 10 rebounds, and two steals. Jaden Kortan added eight points.


Clark/Willow Lake 45, Great Plains Lutheran 36

WATERTOWN — Clark/Willow Lake had three players score in double-figures as they picked up a girls basketball win over Great Plains Lutheran on Monday.

Alicia Vig tallied 18 points, while Maggie Hovde scored 11 points. Kayla Jordan added 10 points.

For GPL, Halle Bauer scored eight points, while Kimberly Goens and Bryn Holmen each recorded seven points. Olivia Holmen tallied nine rebounds.


Leola/Frederick Area 45, Wilmot 40 (OT)

WILMOT — Leola/Frederick Area outlasted Wilmot in overtime in a girls basketball game on Monday.

Sofi Losure scored 23 points, while Chloe Arneson recorded 12 points and Laura Sumption added 10 points.

For Wilmot, Madeline Remund scored a game-high 24 points, while Addison Heinje tallied 10 points and Ashlyn Ebben added six points.


Potter County 64, Northwestern 39

HOVEN — Potter County jumped out to a 23-5 first-quarter lead and picked up a girls basketball win over Northwestern on Monday. 

Tyler Simon finished with 25 points, while Ashlee Kaup added 12 points. Kayden Cronin scored 10 points and Kirstie Lake recorded eight points. Zoe Meinke scored five points. 

Northwestern’s Teryn Sparling scored 11 points, while Jessica Boekelheide and Adriana Ratigan added six points apiece. Faith Larson scored five points. 


James Valley Christian 55, Hitchcock-Tulare 33

WOLSEY — Alexa Goertz and Kaylie Robinson combined for 33 points to push James Valley Christian past Hitchcock-Tulare in a girls basketball game during Monday’s 281 Conference Tournament.

Goertz finished with 19 points, while Robinson tallied 14 points. Abby Hasart added nine points and five rebounds.

For the Patriots, Madison Hofer and Cambree Hoekman each recorded 11 points, while Isabel Gilbert grabbed six rebounds.


Sanborn Central/Woonsocket 61, Iroquois/Doland 15

WOLSEY — Sanborn Central/Woonsocket cruised past Iroquois/Doland for a girls basketball win at the 281 Conference Tournament on Monday.

Liz Boschee recorded 15 points, seven rebounds, and three steals, while Trista White scored 14 points, five rebounds, four steals, and three assists. Trinity Boschee added six points, five rebounds, and three assists.

Iroquois/Doland’s Katie Dubro scored seven points.


Wolsey-Wessington 49, Sunshine Bible Academy 3

WOLSEY — Wolsey-Wessington downed Sunshine Bible Academy in girls basketball action during Monday’s 281 Conference Tournament. 

Wolsey-Wessington’s Mya Boomsma recorded 14 points, while Taylor Horn scored eight points. Leah Williams and Payton Kemnitz scored six points apiece, while Lainey Uttecht scored five points. 

SBA’s Becca Hofman scored two points. 


Wessington Springs 45, Highmore-Harrold 43

WOLSEY — Wessington Springs edged Highmore-Harrold in a girls basketball game during MOnday’s 281 Conference Tournament.

Avery Orth recorded a double-double of 23 points and 10 rebounds, while Kirstie Munsen added 15 points and nine rebounds.

The Pirates were led by Courtney Moser with 21 points, while Maddie Knox nine points and 15 rebounds. Letha Jessen added eight points and five rebounds.


Red Cloud 68, Little Wound 29

PINE RIDGE — The Red Cloud girls used a pressure defense and a balanced scoring attack to earn a win Monday at the Lakota Classic.

Unofficially, Allison Richards led Red Cloud with 17 points. Stevi Fallis added nine points with Sharissa Haas adding eight points.

Sheenah White led Little Wound with nine points.


Beresford 43, Madison 29

BERESFORD — Beresford earned a girls basketball win over Madison on Monday.

Adyson Hansen and Harley Koth each scored 10 points. Koth also grabbed 10 rebounds.

Madison’s Zoey Gerry scored 18 points.
