Elkton-Lake Benton 81, Sioux Falls Lutheran 62

WHITE — Three players scored in double figures as Elkton-Lake Benton defeated Sioux Falls Lutheran at Saturday’s Dakota Valley Conference Classic.

Joseph Nibbe led the Elks with 24 points, Ethan Wiskur had 18 points, Eliot Erickson poured in 15 points while Berkley Hemmen tallied eight points in the win.

For SFL, Sam Borg tallied 28 points while Kade Matthies and Rowen Becker each had 13 points in the loss.


Castlewood 56, Centerville 47

WHITE — Kamden Keszler powered Class B No. 3 Castlewood to a boys basketball win at Saturday’s Dakota Valley Conference Classic. 

Keszler finished with 25 points. Leonard Wernke totaled 10 points and Will Aderhold scored eight points. Trevor Everson recorded six points. 

For Centerville, Ethan Bobzin finished with 22 points. Alec Austin scored nine points. Corbin Tople had eight points.


Deubrook Area 62, Beresford 54

WHITE — Three players scored in double figures as Class B No. 9 Deubrook Area defeated Beresford at Saturday’s Dakota Valley Conference Classic.

Chance Schoenfeld led the Dolphins with 22 points, Braxton Bednarek added 15 points, Isaac Gass collected 10 points while Charlie Olsen and Joshua Moberg each had six points in the win.

For Beresford, Tiegen Nyhaug had 16 points, Hayden Homandberg tallied 15 points, Hayden Schilling collected 11 points while Trey Kurtenbach netted seven points for the Watchdogs.


Clark/Willow Lake 48, Flandreau 38

CLARK — Three players reached double figures as Class A No. 3 Clark/Willow Lake knocked off Flandreau in boys basketball action Saturday.

Chris Bevers led the Cyclones with 16 points and three rebounds, Bo Begeman added 13 points and 10 rebounds, Sully Felberg recorded 10 points, 10 rebounds and two blocks while Emmerson Larson tallied six points, seven rebounds and four steals in the win.

For Flandreau, Xavier Bien tallied 12 points and five rebounds, Luke Sheppard added 11 points and four rebounds while Alexavier Poitra tallied 10 points in the loss.


Groton Area 65, Dakota Valley 42

GROTON — Three players scored in double figures to power Class A No. 7 Groton Area to a boys basketball win on Saturday. 

Groton Area’s Karson Zak recorded 16 points and seven rebounds. Ryder Johnson finished with 15 points and seven rebounds. Gage Sippel posted 14 points and eight rebounds. Keegen Tracy and Easton Weber scored eight points apiece. 

For DV, Tatum Sorensen and Luke Aneman scored 10 points apiece. Payton Sorensen scored seven points and Aaron Bruns added five points.


Leola/Frederick Area 42, Ellendale (N.D.) 34 

ELLENDALE, N.D. — Winston Clark and Jace Thorpe powered Leola/Frederick Area to a boys basketball win on Saturday.

Clark finished with 16 points, while Thorpe added 13 points. Westyn Thorpe totaled eight points.


Sioux Falls Christian 65, Rapid City Christian 43

RAPID CITY — Class A No. 2 Sioux Falls Christian knocked off Rapid City Christian in boys basketball action Saturday.

SFC’s stats were not reported.

For RCC, Sully Kieffer led with 13 points, Joaquin Petrik had nine points while Hudson Ogle added eight points in the loss.


Langford Area 67, Florence-Henry 66 (OT)

REDFIELD — Kassen Keough’s 30-point performance lifted Langford Area over Florence-Henry in overtime at Saturday’s boys Pheasant Shoot-Out.

Keough had 30 points, Graydon Hurley added 13 points while Conner Glines tallied 12 points and 15 rebounds in the win.

For FH, Carson Kelly had 26 points, Dawson Hlavacek tallied 13 points, Zachary Schroeder totaled11 points while Tucker Keller and Tucker Mumm each had six points in the loss.


Northwestern 78, Andes Central/Dakota Christian 71

REDFIELD — Four players reached double figures as Northwestern defeated Andes Central-Dakota Christian at Saturday’s boys Pheasant Shoot-Out.

Jarren Haven led the Wildcats with 26 points, Talon Miller collected 13 points, Colton Smith netted 11 points, William Clemens recorded 10 points while Carson Ewalt had eight points in the win.

For ACDC, Jamian Medicine Horn led with 20 points, Edward Ulrich added 16 points while Samuel Rouse and Isaiah Milk each had 11 points in the loss.


Timber Lake 52, Aberdeen Christian 48

REDFIELD — A balanced scoring attack powered Timber Laker over Class B No. 5 Aberdeen Christian at the boys Pheasant Shoot-Out Saturday.

Kanton Hunt led the Panthers with 12 points, Pete Maher added 10 points, Treyden Beer scored nine points, Broc Bauer recorded eight points, Jackson Bigger added seven points while Braden Lawrence netted six points in the win.

For AC, Luke Kaiser tallied 13 points while Dylan Hofer and Brooks Jett each had 12 points in the loss.


Faulkton Area 70, Redfield 36

REDFIELD — Korbin Stark’s 29-point game lifted Faulkton Area over Redfield in boys basketball action Saturday at the Pheasant Shoot-Out.

Stark led with 29 points for the Trojans, Landon Dikoff added 13 points while Spencer Melius and Weston Senn each had 12 points in the win.

For Redfield, Isaac Banister tallied 11 points, Tate Neuharth added nine points while Eloi Carnicero scored eight points in the loss.
