St. Thomas More 76, Little Wound 38

RAPID CITY — Four players scored in double figures to power Class A No. 4 St. Thomas More to a boys basketball win on Friday.

STM’s Wyatt Gylten finished with 15 points and Ashton Paulsen posted 14 points. Noah Wald added 12 points and Max Speed scored 10 points. Ryan Neugebauer and Baron Slusarski scored eight points apiece. Broeden Sales scored six points.

For Little Wound, Riley Casey scored a team-high 15 points. Isnala Neiji White Bull scored eight points, while Royce Big Boy had five points. 


Parkston 58, Winner 57 (OT)

PARKSTON — Parkston outlasted Winner for an overtime boys basketball win on Friday.

Parkston’s Brycen Bruening led the way with 21 points. Grady Bowar added 13 points, while Sean Deckert totaled 10 points. Mason Jervik had five assists, seven points and 10 rebounds. Trey Boettcher had six points and five assists. 

Winner stats were not reported. 


Hamlin 53, Castlewood 37

CASTLEWOOD — Jackson Wadsworth and Boden Stevenson powered Class A No. 10 Hamlin to a boys basketball win over Class B No. 1 Castlewood on Friday.

Wadsworth finished with 21 points and three 3-pointers. Stevenson added 19 points and four 3-pointers. Jack Stormo added eight points. 

For Castlewood, Kamden Keszler finished with 14 points and Trevor Everson scored 12 points. Will Aderhold totaled six points. 


Vermillion 66, Groton Area 57

GROTON — Three players scored in double figures as Vermillion upset Class A No. 6 Groton Area in boys basketball action. 

Vermillion’s Trey Hansen finished with 22 points, while Trent Thomas added 16 points. Luke Jensen had 10 points and Spencer Blanchette scored eight points. Cale Cleveland scored seven points.

For Groton Area, Ryder Johnson recorded 21 points. Gage Sippel tallied 16 points and 10 rebounds. Keegen Tracy totaled 12 points. 


Deubrook Area 67, Chester 34

CHESTER — Chance Schoenfeld powered Deubrook Area to a boys basketball win on Friday.

Schoenfeld finished with a game-high 26 points. 

Zach Moyer finished with nine points, while Jaxton Opdahl added eight points. JD Prorok had nine rebounds and six assists.


Irene-Wakonda 67, Hanson 46

ALEXANDRIA — Three players scored in double figures to power Irene-Wakonda to a boys basketball win on Friday.

IW’s Cain Healy finished with 20 points and 12 rebounds. Brody Johnke had 18 points. Christian Putnam totaled 14 points. Hayden Hansen had six assists.

For Hanson, Nate Wilber scored 20 points. Jett Jager added eight points and Radek Jarding totaled six points.


Britton-Hecla 51, Deuel 34

BRITTON — Jaxon Zuehlke’s 22-point outing powered Britton-Hecla over Deuel in boys basketball action Friday.

Zuehlke led the Braves with 22 points while Will Richter and Chaz Vietor each had seven points in the win.

For Deuel, Troy Jenson tallied 18 points in the loss.


Ipswich 59, Wilmot 58

IPSWICH — Three players scored in double figures to power Ipswich to a boys basketball win on Friday.

Ipswich’s Jaxon Holt finished with 17 points, six assists and three 3-pointers. Shay Knust posted 17 points and five rebounds. Hayden Schlosser totaled 15 points, five rebounds and three 3-pointers. Kyle Hettich scored eight points.

For Wilmot, Tyler Heinje recorded 15 points and four rebounds. Carson Jurgens recorded 12 points, eight rebounds and five assists. Kevin Gibson and Ethan Schwenn scored nine points apiece. Micah Pelzel had eight points and six rebounds. Maddux Foss had five points. 


McCook Central/Montrose 72, Kimball/White Lake 31

MONTROSE — Ben Wiebersick and Dawson Dorr combined for 39 points to power McCook Central/Montrose to a boys basketball win on Friday.

Wiebersick finished with 26 points, five assists, five 3-pointers and four rebounds. Dorr added 13 points and 12 rebounds. Owen Schmidt and Andrew Sabers had seven points and three rebounds apiece. Lane Hanisch totaled six points and Hayes Erickson posted five points. 

For KWL, Keaton Christensen finished with 11 points and three rebounds. Kamden Hamiel and Colt Leiferman scored eight points apiece. 


Madison 51, Belle Fourche 29

MADISON — Madison rolled past Belle Fourche in boys basketball action on Friday. 

Madison’s Henry Veenhof and Nolan Nielsen scored 12 points apiece. Nielsen added eight boards. Casyn Crabtree added nine points and four rebounds. Brody Cumins totaled four points and six rebounds. 

For Belle Fourche, Sam Weishaar had nine points. Tatum Martin added seven points.
