Tea Area 51, Vermillion 42

VERMILLION — Class A No. 3 Tea Area clipped Class A No. 5 Vermillion in a top-five high school girls basketball game on Tuesday. 

Tea Area’s Katie Vasecka finished with 18 points and 10 rebounds, while Mara Grant logged 15 points and 15 rebounds. Ellie Clayberg added nine points and five rebounds. Miah Weber added five points. 

Vermillion’s Chandler Cleveland finished with 13 points and six rebounds. Brooke Jensen finished with 12 points and nine rebounds. Taylor Reuvers tallied 10 points, four rebounds and four assists. Jenaya Cleveland added five points and seven rebounds. 


Parkston 61, Hanson 41

PARKSTON — Four players scored in double figures to pace Parkston to a girls basketball win over Hanson on Tuesday.

Parkston’s Keeara Oakley finished with 13 points and six rebounds. Lauren Ziebart added 13 points and three rebounds. Mya Thuringer and Berkley Ziebart scored 10 points apiece. Gracie Oakley added six points and five rebounds. Morgan Maxwell scored five points.

For Hanson, Alyssa Moschell recorded 19 points and seven rebounds. Taziah Hawkins had eight points and four rebounds. Eliza Oltmanns had four points and five rebounds. 


Elk Point-Jefferson 69, West Central 54

ELK POINT — Bentlee Kollbaum and Kaitlyn VanRoekel combined to score 46 points to pace Elk Point-Jefferson to a girls basketball win on Tuesday.

VanRoekel finished with 26 points and seven steals, while Kollbaum added 20 points and 10 rebounds. Ashley Brewer finished with eight points. Cera Schmitz added six points, six rebounds, eight assists and four steals. Grace Peed posted six points. 

For West Central, Molly Anderson tossed in 27 points and added five steals. Jazelle Jarding scored seven points, while Alexa Borns and Mara Schultz scored six points apiece.  


Andes Central/Dakota Christian 64, Gregory 30 

LAKE ANDES — Three players scored in double figures to pace Andes Central/Dakota Christian to a girls basketball win on Tuesday.

Josie Brouwer finished with 19 points and eight rebounds. Gabriella Olson posted 15 points and 10 boards. Mahpiya Irving finished with 10 points, while Halle Olson had eight rebounds. 

For Gregory, Dani VanDerWerff had 11 points and seven rebounds. 


Highmore-Harrold 63, Stanley County 23

HIGHMORE — Three players scored in double figures as Highmore-Harrold picked up a win over Stanley County in girls basketball action Tuesday. 

Kendall Cermak led the way with 15 points and five rebounds. Jada Baloun scored 14 points and grabbed five rebounds while Ella Stagg chipped in with 13 points. 

Mattie Duffy led Stanley County with eight points. 


Iroquois/Lake Preston 48, Hitchcock-Tulare 36

IROQUOIS — Three players scored in double-figures as Iroquois/Lake Preston picked up a win over Hitchcock-Tulare in girls basketball action Tuesday. 

Adison Moore led the Sharks with 14 points and three assists. Hadlee Holt had a double-double with 11 points and 15 rebounds while Rebecca Bich chipped in with 11 points. 

Katelyn Schroeder led Hitchcock-Tulare with 13 points. 


Howard 64, Menno 27

HOWARD — Abby Aslesen powered Howard to a girls basketball win over Menno on Tuesday.

Aslesen finished with 30 points, 10 rebounds and seven steals. Ann Connor posted 12 points and six rebounds. Dakota Spader and Liz Albrecht scored seven points apiece. Spader added three assists, while Albrecht had five rebounds. 

For Menno, Zoe Schaeffer scored eight points. Kylie Guthmiller and Ellyana Ulmer scored six points apiece. Guthmiller logged four rebounds. Ashton Massey tallied four points, eight rebounds, three assists and four steals. 


Lennox 65, Mount Vernon/Plankinton 58

LENNOX — Carli Kuyper and Andie Peters scored 18 points apiece as Lennox defeated Mount Vernon/Plankinton for a girls basketball win on Tuesday.

Kuyper added 12 rebounds.

For MVP, Emilee Fox scored 15 points. Reagan Rus added 11 points and eight rebounds. 


Milbank 58, Britton-Hecla 26

MILBANK — The Milbank girls picked up a home win over Britton-Hecla in Tuesday night basketball action in Milbank. 

Isabella Anderson powered Milbank with 21 points, four rebounds, two assists and four steals. Claire Snaza chipped in with 16 points and five rebounds. 

Tiyanna Schott led Britton-Hecla with seven points. 


Arlington 60, Madison 36

MADISON —  Three players scored in double-figures as Arlington earned a comfortable road win over Madison. 

Addalyn Steffenson led the Cardinals with 20 points and seven rebounds. Jaelyn Huntimer scored 12 points and grabbed seven rebounds and Jolyssa Steffensen added 11 points. 

Audrey Nelson led Madison with 13 points.
