Omaha Nation, Neb., 60, Lower Brule 50 

MITCHELL — Omaha Nation held off Lower Brule for the Dakota Oyate Challenge girls basketball championship on Saturday.

Cheyenne Webster led Omaha Nation with 13 points. Janissa Whitewater finished with 12 points while Tylisha McCauley and Dailene Walker both scored 10 points. 

Kaitlyn Thompson led Lower Brule with 14 points. Brilyn LaRoche finished with 13 points and Lael Middletent added 12 points. 


Wall 61, Lyman 58 

PRESHO — Class B No. 4 Wall clipped Class B No. 3 Lyman for a girls basketball win on Saturday.

Lyman’s Skyler Volmer finished with 23 points, 10 rebounds and five assists. Brooke Palmer added 13 points and 10 boards. Mak Scott scored 11 points and recorded her 1,000th career point. Jordyn Scott had five points. 


Northwestern 59, Potter County 48

HOVEN — Three players scored in double figures to pace Northwestern to a girls basketball win on Saturday.

Northwestern’s Ashley Haven and Ana Ratigan scored 14 points apiece. Ratigan added eight boards and Haven had five rebounds. Sophia Troske logged 13 points and four 3-pointers. Josie Sparling had nine points, eight rebounds, five assists and three 3-pointers. 

Potter County’s Kayden Cronin had 17 points and nine rebounds. Emma Schlachter had 10 points, three rebounds and three steals. Zoe Meinke logged eight points and four rebounds. Finlee Heien had nine points. 


Faulkton Area 52, Hitchcock-Tulare 31

FAULKTON — Carley Cotton powered Faulkton Area to a girls basketball win on Saturday.

Cotton finished with 28 points and seven rebounds. Kelli Stoecker and Jaymi Senn scored six points apiece. Stoecker added eight rebounds and Senn had six boards. Anika Mueller logged five points.

Hitchcock-Tulare’s Katelyn Schroeder finished with 14 points and six rebounds. Cambree Hoekman had nine points and six rebounds. 


Elkton-Lake Benton 48, Great Plains Lutheran 43

WATERTOWN — A big night from Kylie Ramlo propelled Elkton-Lake Benton to a win over Great Plains Lutheran in girls basketball action Saturday. 

Kylie Ramlo’s big game included 25 points, six rebounds, four assists and two steals. Tevan Erickson also reached double figures with 15 points. Erickson also added six steals, three rebounds and three assists. 

Halle Bauer led Great Plains Lutheran with 13 points. Olivia Holmen and Madeline Prahl each scored nine points. 


Sioux Falls Jefferson 63, Sioux Falls Washington 47

SIOUX FALLS — Three players scored in double-figures as Sioux Falls Jefferson picked up a win over Sioux Falls Washington in girls basketball action Saturday. 

Brinley Altenburg led Jefferson with 23 points, three rebounds and three assists.

Harrington McGovern scored 15 points, grabbed four rebounds and had five assists. Jaidyn Dunn chipped in with 14 points. 

Grace Peterson led Washington with 15 points and five rebounds. Rylan Kennett added 11 points for the Warriors.
