Pine Ridge 56, West Central 51

MITCHELL — Pine Ridge outlasted West Central in the Sacred Hoops Classic finale on Saturday at the Corn Palace. 

Pine Ridge’s Marvin Richard III finished with 27 points, including 8 of 9 at the free-throw line. Anthony Steele added 13 points, while Domonic Ghost Bear had five points. Kanye Hollow Horn added four points. 

For West Central, Will Kuhl scored 14 points and Crew Heier had 12 points. Carter Tetzlaff and Jake Kuhl scored seven points apiece. Connor Mebius added five points. 


White River 83, Stanley County 49

WHITE RIVER — Four players scored in double figures to power White River to a boys basketball win over Stanley County on Saturday.

Nic Marshall powered the Tigers with 37 points and six steals. Jordan Uhlir added 18 points, eight rebounds and four steals. Mackenzie Wike and Evastine Wright scored 10 points apiece. Teagen Bouman had six points. 

For Stanley County, Kaden Montana scored 16 points and grabbed seven boards, while Broch Zeeb added 11 points and 13 rebounds. Paxton Deal scored 10 points. Brendon Bothwell had six points.  


Rapid City Christian 85, Shiloh Christian 69

BISMARCK, N.D. — Rapid City Christian used a balanced scoring attack to pick up a boys basketball win on Saturday.

Rapid City Christian’s Julius Frog finished with 26 points, while Aiden Roberts netted 20 points. Simon Kieffer recorded 15 points and nine assists. Wes Schlabach had 10 points. Wilson Kieffer had 10 points and 10 rebounds.

 

Dakota Valley 69, Sergeant Bluff-Luton, Iowa, 41

SERGEANT BLUFF, Iowa — Dakota Valley extended its Class A boys basketball record winning streak to 60 straight on Saturday. The all-time boys basketball winning streak was set by Armour (64) from 1978-80. 

Dakota Valley’s Jaxson Wingert finished with 25 points, while Luke Bruns added 20 points. Charlie Margeas scored 11 points.

 

Faulkton Area 66, North Central 43

ROSCOE — Layne Cotton powered Faulkton Area to a boys basketball win on Saturday.

Cotton collected 29 points, 11 steals, seven rebounds and four assists. Charlie Dieter added 13 points, four rebounds and four steals. Trey Machtemese had nine points and five rebounds. Gian DiMaria added eight points.

For North Central, Tim Rucker recorded nine points and eight rebounds. Raynor Sprague posted eight points. Cole Beitelspacher, Kobe Wherry and Cooper Oxner scored six points apiece. 

Leola-Frederick Area 63, Waverly-South Shore 50 

FREDERICK — Leola-Frederick Area picked up a boys basketball win over Waverly-South Shore on Saturday.

Noah Kippley finished with 23 points, while Brayden Sumption added 15 points. Gavin Nickelson scored nine points.

For Waverly-South Shore, Sam Appelhof scored 17 points, while Colton Kranz scored 14 points. Zach Ries logged seven points. 


Corsica-Stickney 63, Wagner 57

CORSICA — Corsica-Stickney clipped Wagner for a boys basketball win on Saturday.

Corsica-Stickney’s Tyson Wentland and Luca Catapano had 14 points apiece. Jarrett Olawsky scored nine points, while Carter Wright had eight points. Wentland finished with seven rebounds and Lincoln Bruinsma had six rebounds. Catapano added six assists. 

Wagner’s Preston McFayden finished with 17 points, while Joe Cournoyer posted 15 points, seven rebounds and five steals. Parker Petry had nine points, while Carter Cournoyer posted five points. 


Castlewood 63, Deuel 44

CLEAR LAKE — Three players scored in double figures to pace Castlewood to a boys basketball win on Saturday.

Castlewood’s Luke Baumberger finished with 18 points, while Bryon Laue logged 12 points and 11 rebounds. Lane Tvedt tossed in 12 points, while Quincy Thu had eight points. 

For Deuel, Troy Jenson had 11 points. Trey Maaland finished with 10 points. Caden Finnesand added eight points, while Caleb Ronne logged six points. Dexter Unzen had five points. 


Sioux Falls Washington 56, Pierre 40 

SIOUX FALLS — Three players scored in double figures to pace Sioux Falls Washington to a boys basketball win over Pierre on Saturday.

Washington’s Lubab Kambalo and Jhace Woods scored 13 points apiece. Samuel Baskin added 11 points and hit three 3-pointers. Thomas Hoffman posted eight points and seven rebounds. Brennan VerHey had 10 rebounds. Lucas Johnson finished with seven points.

For Pierre, Luke Olson had 12 points and five assists. Miles Doyle added eight points, while Sawyer Sonnenschein had six points. Jett Zabel tallied seven points and Cooper Terwilliger finished with five points. 


Sioux Falls Lincoln 65, Aberdeen Central 45

SIOUX FALLS — Three players scored in double figures to lift Sioux Falls Lincoln to a boys basketball win over Aberdeen Central on Saturday.

Lincoln’s Tate Schafer finished with 18 points, while Garry Crowe added 15 points and seven rebounds. Sam Ericsson had 11 points, while Braxton Mohr had nine points. Edison Noll finished with seven points and six assists. Jack Smith added five points and four rebounds. 

For Aberdeen Central, Camden Fauth finished with 11 points, while Grant Fritz had 10 points and four rebounds. Jett Carlson tallied eight points. Brendan Phillips scored five points. 


Sioux Falls Jefferson 59, Rapid City Central 44

SIOUX FALLS — Sioux Falls Jefferson pulled away from Rapid City Central for a boys basketball win on Saturday.

Jefferson’s Damaris Fields recorded 18 points and four rebounds. Tyler Bohannon added 10 points and five rebounds. Mason Payne posted eight points and seven rebounds. Dawson Sechser logged seven points, five assists and five rebounds. 

For Rapid City Central, Minkah Hawley finished with 11 points and four rebounds. Shun-Zi White Woman logged 10 points and four rebounds. Thomas Martian had eight points, while Kaelem Brooks added six points.
