Webster Area 52, Deuel 44

CLEAR LAKE — A balanced scoring attack paced Webster Area over Deuel in boys basketball action Thursday.

Seth Lesnar led the Bearcats with 14 points, four rebounds, five assists and four steals, Matthew Mount added 13 points and four rebounds, Gage Wik had 12 points and eight rebounds while Jack Shoemaker tallied nine points and three rebounds in the win.

For Deuel, Troy Jenson tallied 10 points, 10 rebounds and six assists, Gavin Maaland had nine points, Kyle Finnesand recorded eight points, eight rebounds, three blocks and two assists while Jaxtin Winter collected six points in the loss.


Estelline/Hendricks 56, Dell Rapids St. Mary 54 (OT)

ESTELLINE — Three players scored in double figures as Estelline/Hendricks clipped Dell Rapids St. Mary in an overtime boys basketball game Thursday.

Cade Hexem led the Redhawks with 19 points and five rebounds, Larkin Schultz had 12 points and 16 rebounds while Drayden Cokens had 12 points and three assists.

For St. Mary, Payton Lamb had 19 points in the loss.

 

Freeman 59, Bridgewater-Emery 57

EMERY — Class B No. 9 Freeman outlasted Bridgewater-Emery in boys basketball action on Thursday.

Freeman’s David Walter finished with 22 points and seven boards, while Tate Sorensen added 12 points. 

For BE, Holden Wollmann recorded a game-high 26 points. Ben Weber added 15 points and 12 boards.


Lyman 63, Gregory 50

GREGORY — Three players scored in double figures to power Lyman to a boys basketball win on Thursday.

Lyman’s MJ Diehm finished with 18 points and Canyon Garnos added 11 points. Josiah Vaad scored 10 points.

For Gregory, Colt Keiser had 19 points and 14 boards. Lincoln Juracek scored 19 points. 


Clark/Willow Lake 56, Groton Area 39

CLARK — Three players scored in double figures to pace Class A No. 3 Clark/Willow Lake to a boys basketball win over Class A No. 9 Groton Area on Thursday.

CWL’s Sully Felberg finished with 19 points and seven rebounds. Emmerson Larson and Chris Bevers added 12 points apiece. Bevers grabbed eight rebounds. Jakob Steen had nine points, while Bo Begeman totaled four points and 10 boards.

For Groton Area, Ryder Johnson scored 19 points, grabbed four rebounds and hit three 3-pointers. Karson Zak added 12 points. Gage Sippel had five points and six boards.


Garretson 69, Canistota 36

CANISTOTA — Three players scored in double figures to power Garretson to a boys basketball victory over Canistota Thursday.

Carter Siemonsma led the Blue Dragons with 20 points, eight rebounds and three steals, Jackson Arend had 13 points and three rebounds, Colton Bucholz had 12 points while Brecken Weir had nine points, four rebounds and six assists in the win.

For Canistota, Prayden Acheson had 19  points, five steals and four rebounds, Caleb Schroeder totaled seven points and four rebounds while Dayne Krinke collected seven points and three rebounds in the loss.


Viborg-Hurley 62, Hanson 38

HURLEY — Brady Schroedermeier powered Class B No. 1 Viborg-Hurley to a boys basketball win on Thursday.

Schroedermeier finished with 33 points and 13 rebounds. Braydyn Morrison added 16 points, three assists and three steals. Nolan Kolthoff grabbed seven rebounds and scored four points.

For Hanson, Conner Endorf had 16 points and Nate Wilber scored 14 points. 


Wagner 62, Bon Homme 54

TYNDALL — Three players scored in double figures to pace Wagner to a boys basketball win over Bon Homme on Thursday.

Wagner’s Jesse Zephier finished with 18 points, while Carlos Galindo had 15 points. Michael Koupal posted 12 points. Ky Arpan scored eight points and Leon Fields had six points.

For Bon Homme, Major Aarstad finished with 17 points. Logan Stark scored 12 points. Ethan Wagner scored eight points and Zach Humpal had seven points.


Platte–Geddes 50, Corsica-Stickney 43

PLATTE — Isaac Leader’s 20-point double-double powered Platte-Geddes over Corsica-Stickney in boys basketball action Thursday.

Leader finished with 20 points, 16 rebounds and three steals, Jameson Leader had 13 points, five boards and three assists while Jye Bailey had five points, five rebounds and two steals in the win.

For CS, Jaxon Feenstra had 14 points, five rebounds and four steals while Jett Kemp added 13 points, six rebounds and two assists in the loss.


Deubrook Area 70, Iroquois/Lake Preston 65

WHITE — Four players in double figures to power Class B No. 10 Deubrook Area to a boys basketball win on Thursday. 

Braxton Bednarek finished with 21 points, while Chance Schoenfeld had 17 points. Joshua Moberg had 12 points and Isaac Gass scored 10 points. 

For ILP, Lucas Peskey scored 17 points and hit four 3-pointers. Brycen Blue had 16 points and Carter Arbeiter scored 15 points. Ervin Carter scored seven points and Rexton Blue added six points. 


Sanborn Central/Woonsocket 54, Howard 44

FORESTBURG — Grant Edwards and Sam Baruth powered Sanborn Central/Woonsocket to a boys basketball win on Thursday.

Edwards finished with 18 points and 11 rebounds. Baruth added 14 points. Eli White scored nine points and added four steals. McCoy Schulz grabbed eight rebounds and scored six points. Landon Jensen scored seven points. 

For Howard, Owen Feldhaus scored 16 points and Chas Shumaker scored 10 points. 


Mobridge-Pollock 74, Miller 48

MOBRIDGE — Four players scored in double figures to pace Mobridge-Pollock to a boys basketball win on Thursday.

Shooter Frederick finished with 15 points and Kale Knudson had 13 points. Jesse Schneider had 12 points and Easton Eisemann added 11 points. Kadin Kuehl scored eight points and Kyson Good Shield scored six points. 

For Miller, Will Resel had 20 points. Isaak Hunter, Brecken Anderberg and Oliver Fritzsche had seven points apiece. 


Leola-Frederick Area 60, Aberdeen Roncalli 49

ABERDEEN — Leola-Frederick Area pulled away from Aberdeen Roncalli for a boys basketball win on Thursday.

LFA’s Winston Clark finished with 15 points, while Jace Thorpe had 11 points. Milo Sumption totaled eight points, while Brayden Heuer had seven points. Westyn Thorpe and Erik Loscure scored six points apiece, while Zander Hoffman added five points. 

For Roncalli, Creighton Fisher finished with 14 points, while Bryson Olson scored nine points. Jesse Hernandez and Paul Barr scored eight points apiece. Sam Larson scored five points. 


Spearfish 72, Hill City 54

SPEARFISH — Three players scored in double figures to power Class AA No. 4 Spearfish to a boys basketball win on Thursday. 

Spearfish’s Mason Southern finished with 17 points and Kade Vavruska had 15 points. Cooper Gibbs finished with 12 points, while Kamren Davis and Bennett Kortan finished with nine points apiece. Karsen Seyer had five points 

For Hill City, Zane Messick had 21 points. Dax Frandsen finished with 15 points. 


Hamlin 80, Tiospa Zina 22 

HAYTI — Jackson Wadsworth and Boden Stevenson powered Class A No. 8 Hamlin to a boys basketball win on Thursday.

Wadsworth finished with 24 points and Stevenson added 17 points. Aiden Abraham and Jack Stormo scored eight points apiece. Trig Heinrich scored seven points, while Jaden Olsen and Teague Stevenson scored five points apiece. 

Eric Jens scored 14 points and hit four 3-pointers for Tiospa Zina.


North Central 50, Wakpala 37

EUREKA — A balanced scoring attack powered North Central over Wakpala in boys basketball action Thursday.

Seth Hettick led the Thunder with 11 points, Donovan Nelson and Isaiah Heilman had nine points while Kobe Wherry and Reuben Blanco each had eight points in the win.

For Wakpala, Lawrence Gooden had 17 points, Bretten Wells added 11 points while Tavaughn Steele recorded six points in the loss.


Milbank 45, Great Plains Lutheran 32

MILBANK — Lincoln Holscher and Sam Rick powered Milbank to a boys basketball win on Thursday.

Holscher finished with 11 points and seven rebounds. Rick added 10 points and five rebounds. Ryan Keeton posted seven points, while Jack Howard had seven points and seven rebounds. Jeter Scoular scored five points. 

For GPL, Isaac Kierstad scored nine points. Jarret Bauer had eight points, while Aiden Cameron added six points and four assists.


Britton-Hecla 62, Redfield 36

BRITTON — Jaxon Zuehlke and Chaz Vietor combined for in Britton-Hecla’s boys basketball victory over Redfield Thursday.

Zuehlke led the Braves with 20 points and 11 rebounds while Vietor added 17 points and 11 rebounds as well. Graham Fosness had 10 points and nine rebounds while William Richter and Nathan Folkman each had six points in the win.
Redfield’s stats were not reported.
