Spearfish 53, Hill City 35

SPEARFISH — Spearfish held off Hill City for a girls basketball win on Thursday.

Spearfish’s Kate Scharf scored 17 points and hit three 3-pointers. Sierra Sandford recorded 10 points. Tiersyn Grubb added nine points. Anna Eisenbarth had seven points. Adelyn Bouman scored five points. 

For Hill City, Macie Ham scored nine points. Naiya Ginsbach had five points. Daril Frandsen and Lillie Ham finished with five points apiece. 


Wagner 68, Bon Homme 25 

TYNDALL — Ashlyn Koupal and Hayden Knudsen powered Class A No. 7 Wagner to a girls basketball win on Thursday.

Koupal finished with 20 points, 10 rebounds, eight assists, three steals and three blocked shots. Knudsen added 12 points. Braxton Nedved had nine points and six rebounds. Mateya Bruguier had seven points. Ravyn Medricky had six points and four rebounds. 

For Bon Homme, Taycee Ranek had 10 points and eight rebounds. Olivia Kaul posted nine points and six rebounds.


Webster Area 52, Deuel 29

CLEAR LAKE — A balanced scoring attack powered Webster Area over Deuel in girls basketball action Thursday.

Georgia Vergeldt led the Bearcats with 12 points on four three-pointers, Ryan Johnson had nine points and three rebounds, Mallory Steiner collected seven points and three rebounds while Karli Sannes and Bailee Ninke each had six points in the win.

For Deuel, Gracylyn Nielsen tallied 11 points, four rebounds, three assists and two steals, Camdyn Peterreins had eight points, five boards, two steals, two assists and two blocks while Alayna Carlson recorded six points, nine rebounds and two steals in the loss.


Lyman 66, Gregory 24

GREGORY — Three players scored in double figures to pace Class B No. 2 Lyman to a girls basketball win on Thursday.

Bree Smart finished with 17 points and three rebounds. Brooke Montgomery added 16 points and three rebounds. Mak Scott totaled 13 points and 16 rebounds. Jordyn Scott finished with nine points and three assists. Ella Ehlers scored seven points and grabbed three rebounds. 

Gregory stats were not reported. 


Parkston 55, Parker-Marion 20

MARION — Berkley Ziebart and Keeara Oakley combined for 32 points and 13 rebounds to power Class B No. 3 Parkston to a girls basketball win on Thursday.

Ziebart finished with 18 points and four rebounds. Oakley added 14 points and nine rebounds. 

For Parker-Marion, Elizabeth Piehl scored five points.


Britton-Hecla 29, Redfield 28

BRITTON — Britton-Hecla clipped Redfield in girls basketball action Thursday.

Chellon Pruitt led the Braves with 12 points, Maddie Micko added seven points while Daynika Zuehlke had six points in the win.

For Redfield, Charli Jungwirth tallied 13 points while Brynn Giblin, Hayden Gall and Rylen Frericks each had four points in the loss.


Sanborn Central/Woonsocket 57, Howard 24

FORESTBURG — Liz Boschee and Addison Bartholow paced Class B No. 8 Sanborn Central/Woonsocket to a girls basketball win on Thursday.

Boschee finished with 20 points, while Bartholow scored 10 points. Lainey Goertz scored seven points.

For Howard, Ann Connor scored seven points. Dakota Spader scored six points and Liz Albrecht added five points. 


Harding County 80, McIntosh 17

BUFFALO — Four players scored in double figures to pace Class B No. 6 Harding County to a girls basketball win on Thursday.

Raelee Hunsucker finished with 17 points, while Kamry Padden added 14 points and seven rebounds. Macey Wendt recorded 13 points and three assists. Brayden Padden had 10 points and six rebounds. Sattyn Wilson and Carson Page scored six points apiece. Kaylen Padden had five points. 

For McIntosh, Aleah Hettich scored six points and Ezmae Oka scored five points.


Herreid/Selby Area 43, Faulkton Area 35

HERREID — Katie Albee and Jordyn Rossow paced Herreid/Selby Area to a girls basketball victory over Faulkton Area Thursday.

Albee led the Wolverines with 16 points, six assists and three rebounds, Rossow added 11 points, eight rebounds, three steals and two assists, Alyssa Kaup had eight points, three steals and three rebounds while Taryn Hettick had five points and 11 boards in the win.

For FA, Anika Mueller tallied nine points and 10 rebounds, Presleigh Martinmaas had nine points, four rebounds three steals and two assists, Brooklyn Mueller collected seven points, four boards and three steals while Claire Cotton added six points and eight rebounds in the loss.


Deubrook Area 50, Iroquois/Lake Preston 25

WHITE — A balanced scoring attack paced Deubrook Area to a girls basketball win over Iroquois/Lake Preston Thursday.

Matte Bauman led the Dolphins with 12 points, Kylee Johnson recorded 10 points, Neely Gustad recorded seven points while Carly Engelstad and Kiana Schmit each had four points in the win.

For ILP, Hadlee Holt had nine points, Avah Newman added six points while Khloe Olson and Natalie Cundy each had four points in the loss.


Hamlin 83, Tiospa Zina 11 

HAYTI — Four players scored in double figures to power Class A No. 3 Hamlin to a girls basketball win on Thursday. 

Issie Steffensen finished with 26 points and four rebounds. Addie Jensen scored 15 points. Paxton Neuendorf posted 13 points and Addie Neuendorf totaled 11 points and three 3-pointers. Sarita Stevenson scored nine points. Paige Stormo had five points.

For TZ, Stevie Marks scored eight points.
