Tiospaye Topa 78, Newell 51

NEWELL — Tiospaye Topa improved to 8-1 after a 27-point girls basketball win over Newell on Friday.

Tiospaye Topa’s Pamela Meeter finished with 23 points, 12 assists, four rebounds, four steals and three 3-pointers. Tyrianna Hawk Bear added 20 points, 13 rebounds, six assists and four 3-pointers. Leilani Bowker had 24 points, 12 rebounds, three blocks and three assists. Ja'Laya Upshaw added seven points and three assists. Madison Jeffries recorded four rebounds, four steals and three points. 

Newell stats were unavailable.


Rapid City Christian 57, Sturgis 31

STURGIS — Three players scored in double figures as Rapid City Christian picked up a girls basketball win on Friday.

Sadie Marshall finished with 13 points, while Lydia Williams scored 12 points. Abby Thomson had 11 points and hit three 3-pointers. Miley Johnson had five points. 

For Sturgis, Avreigh Long scored eight points and Abby Kossler logged six points. Kierra Killinger scored five points. 


Dakota Valley 73, Viborg-Hurley 62

NORTH SIOUX CITY — Ella Otten’s 20-point burst powered Dakota Valley to a girls basketball victory over Viborg-Hurley Friday.

Otten finished with 20 points and six assists, Aubree Worden totaled 17 points, six rebounds, five assists and six steals, Cameryn Sommervold added 13 points and six rebounds, while Emersen Mead brought in 11 rebounds in the win.

VH’s Charley Nelson had a team-high 20 points, nine rebounds, three assists and a steal in the loss, Kendra Gilbert added 19 points, while Jenna Graves recorded nine points for the Cougars.


Warner 32, North Central 24

WARNER — Stacia Carda and Courtney Leidholt powered Warner to a high school girls basketball victory Friday.

Carda finished with 12 points, Leidholt tallied 10 points. Makenna Leidholt added five points in the win as well.

NC’s Amree Vander Vorst tallied 15 points in the loss.


Flandreau 46, Tri-Valley 31

FLANDREAU — Flandreau held Tri-Valley to just 31 points as the Fliers picked up a high school girls basketball victory Friday.

Morgan Sheppard tallied 13 points and eight rebounds. Sadie Iott had 11 points and seven rebounds, while Hannah Krull recorded six points and nine boards in the win.

TV’s Izzy Davey and Mattie Huwe each had eight points in the loss.


Centerville 86, Burke 59

BURKE — Emma Marshall, Keira Austin and Izzie Eide combined for 63 points as Class B No. 1 Centerville earned a girls basketball victory Friday.

Marshall led with a game-high 23 points, seven rebounds, five assists and four steals, Keira Austin had 21 points, Izzie Eide recorded 19 points and four steals, while Althea Gust added five rebounds and three assists in the loss.

Burke’s Emmie Hausmann tallied 30 points and four rebounds, Kailee Frank had 14 points, four rebounds, seven assists and two steals, while Paige Bull totaled eight points, 10 boards and two steals in the loss.


Sioux Falls Jefferson 53, Rapid City Central 37

RAPID CITY — Brinley Altenburg and Abby Horner powered Sioux Falls Jefferson to a girls basketball win on Friday.

Altenburg finished with 20 points, nine rebounds and three 3-pointers. Horner added 14 points, four rebounds and three steals. Macy Bryant and Bree Umbreit scored six points apiece.

For Rapid City Central, Chloe Shreve had 15 points, eight rebounds and three assists. Leah Landry added 11 points and seven rebounds. Jo Pierce posted six points and seven rebounds. 


Deubrook Area 66, James Valley Christian 6

WHITE — Deubrook Area picked up a high school girls basketball victory Friday.

Clare Jorenby led the way with 15 points for the Dolphins. Zoey Molengraff tallied nine points. Peyton Trooien had eight points. Matte Bauman and Matti Ramlo each recorded six points, while Kylee Johnson had five points in the win.

JVC’s Autumn Stahl tallied three points, Maria Porter had two points, while Dara Olowu-Davies had one point in the loss.
