Lyman 54, Kadoka Area 49

PRESHO — Jordyn Scott and Mak Scott combined for 34 points as Class B No. 3 Lyman hands Kadoka Area its first loss of the season.

Jordyn Scott led with 18 points, four rebounds and seven assists, while Mak Scott had 16 points, five rebounds and five assists in the win. Brooke Palmer tallied 11 points and seven rebounds while Kenzie Wagner had eight points for the Raiders.

KA’s Bella Williams tallied a game-high 22 points in the loss Charlee Richardson totaled 10 points, Breezy Amiotte recorded eight points, while Shaylee Porch added seven points for the Kougars.


Burke 56, Irene-Wakonda 52

IRENE — Kailee Frank’s 17-point outing helped power Burke past Irene-Wakonda in high school girls basketball action Tuesday.

Frank finished with 17 points, four rebounds, four steals and two assists, Annie Connot had 13 points, four steals, three rebounds and three assists, Emmie Hausmann tallied 10 points, four assists and three rebounds, Paige Bull totaled eight points and three boards, while Emmy Spencer added five points in the win.

IW’s Emily Oien totaled 15 points, three steals and three assists, Madison Orr tallied a double-double with 13 points and 13 rebounds, Maryn Lyngstad tallied seven points and seven rebounds, while Brenna Lyngstad totaled six points and eight rebounds in the loss.


Great Plains Lutheran 31, Estelline/Hendricks 26

WATERTOWN — Great Plains Lutheran picked up a victory over Estelline/Hendricks during Tuesday’s high school girls basketball action.

GPL’s stats were not reported.

EH’s Brooke Johnson had 10 points, Ayla Texley tallied eight points, while Danelyn Greene and Presly Bury each had three points in the loss.


Mahpiya Luta 77, Lakota Tech 51

PINE RIDGE — Class A No. 3 Mahpiya Luta improved to 9-0 with a girls basketball win over Lakota Tech on Tuesday.

Mahpiya Luta’s Ashlan Carlow-Blount logged 32 points, 16 rebounds, eight steals and eight assists. 

Lakota Tech’s Shania Ferguson and Isabella Shangreaux finished with 14 points apiece. Shangreaux added five rebounds, while Ferguson had four rebounds, three steals, three assists and three blocks. Lizzie Robinson had 10 points and four rebounds. Layla Janis scored five points. 


Hamlin 62, Sioux Valley 59 (OT)

VOLGA — Hamlin outlasted Sioux Valley in an overtime girls basketball game on Tuesday.

Hamlin’s 

Addie Steffensen recorded 19 points, four rebounds and four assists and Issie Steffensen posted 16 points. Addie Neuendorf and Payton Neuendorf logged 10 points apiece, including five rebounds and eight assists for Neuendorf.. 

Sioux Valley’s Talya Vincent scored 22 points. Kailey Cradduck logged 11 points and Liberty Trygstad added 10 points.


Clark/Willow Lake 50, Castlewood 39

WILLOW LAKE — Tehya Vig’s 17-point burst lifted Clark/Willow Lake over Castlewood Tuesday in high school girls basketball action.

Vig finished with 17 points and seven rebounds, Shelby Begeman added 11 points, Brynn Roehrich totaled 11 points and 11 rebounds, while Johanna Vandersnick tallied five points in the win.

Castlewood’s Claire Horn led with nine points, Cassidy Kirwan totaled eight points and five rebounds, Ava Ruml totaled eight points, four blocks and three rebounds, while Sophia Kudrna tallied five points and six rebounds in the loss.


St. Thomas More 38, Rapid City Christian 27

RAPID CITY — St. Thomas More held off Rapid City Christian for a girls basketball win on Tuesday.

St. Thomas More’s Riley Gylten recorded 12 points and Sloane Keszler finished with nine points. Alexa Scherr scored seven points and Brynn Donnelly had six points. 

Rapid City Christian’s Sadie Marshall finished with seven points. 


North Central 34, Leola/Frederick 22

LEOLA — North Central ran past Leola/Frederick picking up a win in girls basketball action Tuesday. 

Amree VanderVorst powered North Central with 17 points and seven rebounds. Alaina Dosch added nine points and Ella Batie chipped in with four points. 

Arabelle Clark led Leola/Frederick with 10 points while Jillian Ellwien notched eight points. 


Arlington 56, Deuel 39

ARLINGTON — Jaelyn Huntimer racked up 27 points as Arlington took down Deuel in high school girls basketball action Tuesday.

Huntimer finished with 27 points, nine rebounds and three steals, Sony Johnson recorded seven points, eight rebounds and five steals, Madalyn Madsen had seven points five rebounds and two steals, while Emma Spilde totaled six points and three rebounds in the win.

Deuel’s Camdyn Peterreins had 14 points and six rebounds, Jaycee Hourigan collected 10 points, four rebounds and four steals, while Graclyn Nielsen tallied seven points and five rebounds in the loss.


McCook Central/Montrose 77, Hanson 30

SALEM — McCook Central/Montrose rolled past Hanson for a girls basketball win on Tuesday.

MCM’s Mya Morrison recorded 17 points and four rebounds. Ella DeKnikker finished with 14 points and four rebounds. Cami McGuire had 12 points. Brooke Heumiller recorded nine points, while Natalie Lueth had six points and 10 boards. Ashtyn DeKnikker and Mandi Schock scored five points apiece. Schock had six rebounds. 

For Hanson, Kylie Haiar recorded 11 points and nine rebounds. Ava Doyle scored six points. 


Aberdeen Roncalli 52, Faulkton Area 23

ABERDEEN — Ava Hanson’s 16-point burst lifted Aberdeen Roncalli past Faulkton during Tuesday’s high school girls basketball action.

Hanson finished with 16 points and six steals, Claire Crawford had nine points, three steals and two rebounds, Maddie Huber tallied seven points, seven assists, four rebounds and four steals, while Olivia Dix had six points in the win.

Faulkton Area’s Carley Cotton tallied 15 points, two rebounds, two assists and two steals, while Anika Mueller and Presleigh Martinmaas each had four points in the loss.


Elk Point-Jefferson 60, Wagner 39

WAGNER — Three players reached double figures as Elk Point-Jefferson picked up a win over Wagner in Tuesday night girls basketball action. 

Cera Schmitz led EPJ with 21 points, three rebounds and two assists. Ashley Brewer finished with 16 points and 12 rebounds and Kaitlyn VanRoekel added 16 points, three assists and three steals. 

Ashlyn Koupal led Wagner with 17 points while Braxton Nedved added 10 points. 


Flandreau 41, Garretson 21

FLANDREAU — Flandreau used a balanced scoring attack to earn a win over Garretson in girls basketball action Tuesday night. 

Morgan Sheppard paced the Fliers with 15 points and five rebounds. Madison Bushkofsky added nine points and seven rebounds and Hannah Krull contributed eight points and six rebounds. 

Brooklyn Trudeau and Khloe Susie each had six points for Garretson. 

 

Lennox 54, Western Christian (Iowa) 21

LENNOX — Three players scored in double figures as Lennox defeated Western Christian in high school girls basketball action.

Andie Peters powered the Orioles with 15 points, Ryan Hanssen tallied 11 points and five rebounds, while Libby Kranz had 11 points in the win.

WC’s Aubrie Kooiker and Makenna Fedders each had six points in the loss.


Sanborn Central-Woonsocket 60, Kimball/White Lake 22

WOONSOCKET — Kaylie Robinson scored her 1,000th career point as Class B No. 5 Sanborn Central-Woonsocket picked a victory over Kimball/White Lake Tuesday.

Robinson finished with 12 points, five rebounds, five assists and four steals in the win, Liz Boschee tallied 20 points, five rebounds and four steals, while Alexa Goertz added 10 points in the win.

KWL’s Rylee McCord collected nine points, Sydney Stahl had five points, while Summer Skluzak totaled four points and three rebounds in the loss.


O’Gorman 70, Sioux Falls Washington 53

SIOUX FALLS — Class AA No. 1 Sioux Falls O’Gorman ran past Class AA No. 2 Sioux Falls Washington for a win in girls basketball action Tuesday night. 

O’Gorman’s Sydney Terveen powered the Knights with 24 points, three rebounds, four assists and three steals. Ruby Moore finished with 20 points, five rebounds and eight assists. 

Dana Harpe led Sioux Falls Washington with 16 points, seven rebounds and  four assists. Grace Peterson finished with 13 points and four rebounds while Rylen Kennett chipped in with 10 points.
