Upton (Wyo.) 37, Hot Springs 26 

HOT SPRINGS — Hot Springs dropped an 11-point decision in girls basketball action at the West River Tournament on Friday.

Hot Springs’ Destiny Webb finished with eight points and Haylee White scored seven points. Emma Preuss had five points.


Ipswich 43, Waubay/Summit 37 

WAUBAY — Ipswich edged Waubay/Summit for a girls basketball win on Friday.

Ipswich’s Marley Guthmiller finished with 15 points, while Jalyssa Hutson added 10 points. Kaylin Onken scored eight points. 

For WS, Faith Larson scored 20 points and hit four 3-pointers. Brianna Lindholm had seven points. Aubrey Strang scored six points. 


Sturgis 42, Rapid City Central 33

RAPID CITY — Tori Wilson powered Sturgis with 15 points Friday to take down Rapid City Central in high school girls basketball action.

Wilson finished with 15 points and five rebounds, Addy Kossler totaled 10 points, Kierra Killinger collected six points and four rebounds, while Olivia Vilem and Avery Marler each had four points in the win.

RCC’s Leah Landry collected a game-high 23 points and 16 rebounds in the loss, while Chloe Shreve added five points, seven rebounds and four steals for the Cobblers.
