St. Thomas More 43, Spearfish 41

SPEARFISH — Ashton Paulsen’s layup with three seconds left propelled St. Thomas More to a boys basketball win on Tuesday.

Wyatt Gylten finished with 13 points and Paulsen scored nine points. Broeden Sales scored eight points and Declan Duffy scored six points.

For Spearfish, Cooper Gibbs scored 12 points and Kamren Davis added 11 points. Bennett Kortan had nine points and Dylon Doren scored six points.

 

Rapid City Christian 69, Custer 65

RAPID CITY --- Three players scored in double figures to pace Class A No. 3 Rapid City Christian to a boys basketball win on Tuesday.

RC Christian's Simon Kieffer recorded 20 points, while Benson Kieffer added 18 points. Julius Frog finished with 16 points and Aiden Roberts tallied eight points. Wes Schlabach added 10 boards. 

Custer stats were not reported. 

 

Pine Ridge 91, Mahpiya Luta 74

PINE RIDGE — Marvin Richard III powered Pine Ridge to a boys basketball win over rival Mahpiya Luta on Tuesday.

Richard III tossed in a game-high 41 points. Delbert Peters Jr., scored 12 points and Will Tymes Jr., added eight points.

Mahpiya Luta’s Josh Anderson scored 17 points.


Corsica-Stickney 43, Wagner 32

WAGNER — Corsica-Stickney pulled past Wagner for a boys basketball win on Tuesday. 

Corsica-Stickney’s Tyson Wentland recorded 13 points and Jarret Olawsky finished with eight points. Brock Hinker had five points

For Wagner, Preston McFayden had nine points. Parker Petry and Brady Cournoyer scored eight points apiece. Carlos Galindo had five points. 


Chester 61, Canistota 58

CHESTER — Layke Wold’s 22-point burst lifted Chester over Canistota during Tuesday’s high school boys basketball action.

Wold finished with 22 points and four steals, Carter Vogel, Will Seeley and Teegan Hodne each had 10 points, while JD Prorok added eight assists and seven rebounds in the win.

Canistota’s Brady Scott led the Hawks with 24 points while Blaise Showers added 12 points in the loss.


Deuel 46, Elkton-Lake Benton 44

CLEAR LAKE — Deuel edged Elkton-Lake Benton during Tuesday’s high school boys basketball action.

Deuel’s Caden Finnesand and Jaxon Peterreins scored 13 points apiece. Finnesand added nine rebounds. Gabe Sather tallied 11 points, 10 rebounds, three assists and three steals. Kyle Finnesand scored six points and collected six rebounds. 

ELB’s Tanner Drietz had 12 points and eight rebounds, Joseph Nibbe cracked double figures with 10 points and three steals, while Colt Beck added eight points in the loss.


Sanborn Central-Woonsocket 54, Hanson 50

FORESTBURG — McCoy Schulz and Landon Jensen each recorded 16 points in Sanborn Central-Woonsocket’s narrow victory over Hanson Tuesday.

Schulz tallied 16 points, eight rebounds and five steals for the Blackhawks while Jensen recorded 16 points, eight rebounds, four assists and two steals in the win.

Hanson’s stats were not reported.


Gayville-Volin 59, Scotland-Menno 47

MENNO — Three players scored in double figures during Gayville-Volin’s boys basketball victory over Scotland-Menno Tuesday.

Spencer Karstens tallied 17 points, seven rebounds and five assists, Preston Karstens had 13 points and five rebounds, Nate Selchert recorded 11 points and five rebounds, while Hunter Wuebben had seven points and five assists in the win.

Trent Guthmiller led Scotland-Menno with 13 points while Treyton Bolt added nine points in the loss.


Leola-Frederick 62, Britton-Hecla 51

FREDERICK — Noah Kippley powered Class B No. 5 Leola-Frederick to a Tuesday night victory over Britton-Hecla.

Kippley finished with 27 points, Milo Sumption had 12 points, while Gavin Nickelson tallied eight points in the win.

Britton-Hecla’s Graham Fosness and Dan Person scored 11 points apiece. Will Richter added 10 points. Jordyn McGregor scored six points.


Beresford 64, Irene-Wakonda 56

BERESFORD — Malachi James’ 27 points lifted Beresford to a high school boys basketball victory over Irene-Wakonda Tuesday.

James led the Watchdogs with 27 points, Tiegan Nyhaug added 12 points, while Cooper Nelson tallied a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds.

IW’s Cain Healy tallied 19 points in the loss.


Castlewood 59, Colman-Egan 34

CASTLEWOOD — Three players scored in double figures to pace Class B No. 2 Castlewood to a boys basketball win on Tuesday.

Castlewood’s Bryon Laue tallied 17 points and 11 rebounds. Jamison Keszler had 14 points and Brody Bass added 11 points. Kamden Keszler scored nine points, while Luke Baumberger added eight points.

For Colman-Egan, Jase Mousel had nine points and Jackson Zwart tallied eight points. Taylor Kriech scored six points.


Wolsey-Wessington 64, Sunshine Bible Academy 38

MILLER — Three players scored in double figures to pace Wolsey-Wessington to a boys basketball win on Tuesday.

WW’s Moshe Richmond had 13 points and six rebounds. Caleb Richmond scored 13 points, three 3-pointers, had three steals and three rebounds. Harley Roberts finished with nine points. Sawyer Nelson tallied five points and eight rebounds. Isaiah Sabalier had seven points. 

For SBA, Trey Thieman tallied 22 points and five 3-pointers. Owan Watson scored seven points and grabbed four rebounds. 


Dell Rapids St. Mary 74, Deubrook Area 40

WHITE — Maverick LeBrun and Trevon Beckman powered Class B No. 3 Dell Rapids St. Mary to a boys basketball victory over Deubrook Area Tuesday.

LeBrun led all scorers with 24 points, Beckman added 21 points, while Trimmier Hanson chipped in 14 points.

DA’s Isaac Gass led the Dolphins with 13 points in the loss.


Dell Rapids 56, Mount Vernon/Plankinton 32

DELL RAPIDS — Tad Tjaden and Lincoln Anderson combined for 31 points to pace Dell Rapids to a boys basketball win on Tuesday.

Tjaden scored 20 points, while Anderson had 11 points. Karson Paye posted nine points.

For MVP, Tyce Feistner scored 20 points. 


Baltic 50, McCook Central-Montrose 36

BALTIC — Three players scored in double figures during Baltic’s victory over McCook Central-Montrose Tuesday.

Kellen Artz led with 14 points and 11 rebounds, Ben Erickson had 12 points, Dylan Ruenstad tallied 11 points and five rebounds, while Trevor Cuperus had seven points and four rebounds in the win.

MCM’s Mason Sabers collected 13 points and three steals, Jackson Schmidt recorded eight points, five rebounds and three steals, while Ben Wiebersick had five points and five rebounds in the loss.


Winner 77, Todd County 49

WINNER — Carter Craven powered Winner to a boys basketball win on Tuesday.

Craven finished with 32 points and nine rebounds. Shawn Hammerbeck added 13 points and eight rebounds. Ryder Halligan tallied 12 points and four boards. Aiden Schroeder finished with nine points and six assists. Seth Heath scored five points and grabbed five rebounds.

For Todd County, Oniya Whirlwind Soldier scored 14 points and collected four rebounds. Kendrik Easter recorded 12 points and six rebounds. Stephen Lone Dog and Ty Valandra scored six points apiece.  


Hitchcock-Tulare 65, Redfield 50

REDFIELD — Hitchcock-Tulare picked up a boys basketball win on Tuesday.

Hitchcock-Tulare’s Patrick Maynard totaled 24 points and Devin Enander scored 14 points. Aiden Frankenstein had 12 points. Briggs LaBrie had nine points. 

Ruben Alvarez finished with 25 points, while Grady Hulscher added 10 points. Austin Snell scored six points and Ethan Falk had five points.


Madison 63, Chamberlain 37

MADISON — Madison pulled away from Chamberlain for a boys basketball win on Tuesday.

Madison’s Shane Veenhof finished with 13 points and three steals. Myles Schneider added 12 points and 11 rebounds. Casyn Crabtree and Ben Brooks scored nine points apiece. Brooks added four rebounds and three assists. Nolan Nielsen had six points and three rebounds. Brody Cummins had five points.

For Chamberlain, Riddick Big Eagle had 13 points and three rebounds. Josiah Vaad, Blaze Knippling and Breckyn Harmon scored six points apiece. Knippling and Vaad had five rebounds apiece. 


Mitchell 42, Sioux Falls Roosevelt 38 

MITCHELL — Three players scored in double figures to pace Class AA No. 4 Mitchell to a boys basketball win on Tuesday.

Markus Talley totaled 12 points, three rebounds and three 3-pointers. Colton Smith added 11 points, 14 rebounds, three assists and three blocked shots. Landen Soulek had 11 points and three 3-pointers. Owen Raml added five boards. 

For Roosevelt, Jamre Tiger had 11 points and three 3-pointers. CJ Sharnaus added eight points, while Memphis Bylander had seven points. Deng Kuek added six points and nine rebounds. 


Sioux Falls Christian 80, Tea Area 51

SIOUX FALLS — Four players scored in double figures to pace Class A No. 1 Sioux Falls Christian to a boys basketball win on Tuesday.

Griffen Goodbary finished with 17 points, eight rebounds and five assists in the win. Cole Snyder added 14 points and three assists. Cooper Goodbary finished with 13 points, eight rebounds, three 3-pointers and three blocked shots. Brant Wassenaar had 10 points and three rebounds. Carson Nickles tallied nine points, while Britton Mulder had five points. 

Tea Area’s Gavin Shawd recorded 18 points and five rebounds. Jaxson Merrigan added 12 points. Grifin Wiebenga had 10 points and five rebounds. Marshall Smythe tallied eight points.
