Lyman 70, New Underwood 52

PRESHO — Chase Seaboy and MJ Diehm powered Lyman to a boys basketball win on Thursday.

Seaboy recorded a game-high 25 points. MJ Diehm added 17 points and Cole Kieffer scored nine points. Dawsen Volmer scored seven points, while Conway Collins and Aksel Ehlers scored six points apiece. 

For New Underwood, Sam Enos scored 12 points and Ethan Enos added 11 points. Blake Beer, Kaleb Meyers and Trevin Walker scored six points apiece. Zach Henriksen added five points. 


Stanley County 66, Crow Creek 49

FORT PIERRE — Three players scored in double figures to pace Stanley County to a boys basketball win on Thursday.

Stanley County’s Eddie Duffy scored 22 points and Paxton Deal added 21 points. Kaden Montana scored 16 points.

Crow Creek’s Kingston Big Eagle tossed in a game-high 31 points. Bryson Drapeau had seven points, while Walter Gibson scored six points. Justin St. John had five points. 


Castlewood 64, Iroquois/Lake Preston 35

CASTLEWOOD — Three players scored in double figures to pace Class B No. 2 Castlewood to a boys basketball win on Thursday.

Castlewood’s Bryon Laue posted 19 points and 11 rebounds. Kamden Keszler added 16 points and Brody Bass had 10 points. Bennett Johnson scored six points. Luke Baumberger and Tyson Manley scored five points apiece.

For ILP, Lucas Peskey scored 12 points. Ben Curd and Carter Arbeiter had five points apiece. 


Leola/Frederick Area 74, Faulkton Area 55

FAULKTON — Three players scored in double figures to pace Class B No. 5 Leola/Frederick Area for a boys basketball win on Thursday.

Noah Kippley finished with 23 points, while Milo Sumption added 14 points. Westyn Thorpe had 11 points. Jace Thorpe scored eight points and Gavin Nickelson had six points.

For Faulkton Area, Gian DiMaria posted 16 points and Carter Hall added 12 points. Korbin Stark and Trey Machtemes had eight points apiece. Spencer Melius had six points. 


Hamlin 77, Sisseton 22

HAYTI — Class A No. 2 Hamlin used a balanced-scoring attack to pick up a boys basketball win on Thursday.

Hamlin’s Easton Neuendorf finished with 14 points, while Evan Stormo and Dawson Noem scored 12 points apiece. Stormo hit four 3-pointers. Jackson Wadsworth tallied 11 points and Boden Stevenson scored six points. Zac VanMeeteren, Turner Stevenson and Watson Grantham scored five points apiece.

Sisseton’s Caden Gibson and Vincent Donnell scored four points apiece. 


Viborg-Hurley 61, Centerville 52

VIBORG — Nick Hanson posted a monster double-double to power Class A No. 1 Viborg-Hurley to a boys basketball win on Thursday.

Hanson finished with 24 points and 24 rebounds. Braydyn Morrison added 11 points, while Owen Niederbaumer tallied 10 points, eight rebounds and four assists. Nolan Kolthoff scored nine points.

For Centerville, Aiden Bobzin recorded 19 points and Alec Austin had nine points. 


Wagner 64, Scotland-Menno 48

SCOTLAND — Three players scored in double-figures as Wagner ran past Scotland-Menno in boys basketball action Thursday night. 

Parker Petry led Wagner with 20 points and 10 rebounds. Jesse Zephier pumped in 16 points, six assists, and a steal. Ky Arpan finished with 11 points. 

Izayah Ulmer paced Scotland-Menno with 13 points. 


Vermillion 57, Dell Rapids 53

VERMILLION — Vermillion outlasted Dell Rapids for a boys basketball win on Thursday.

Vermillion’s Trey Hansen tallied 31 points and 12 rebounds. Carter Hansen added 11 points. 

For Dell Rapids, Tad Tjaden had 21 points and Lincoln Anderson added 17 points. Karson Paye scored nine points. 


Deuel 51, Milbank 38

MILBANK — Gabe Sather and Troy Jensen combined to score 36 points as Deuel picked up a win over Milbank in boys basketball action Thursday. 

Sather notched a game high 24 points while also snaring 11 rebounds. Jensen finished with 12 points and two rebounds while Jaxon Peterreins added seven points and three rebounds. 

Emmett Hanson led Milbank with 16 points and 13 rebounds. Sam Rick added 14 points and five rebounds for the Bulldogs. 


Lower Brule 76, Flandreau Indian 31 

MITCHELL — Payton Palmier powered Lower Brule to a boys basketball win at Thursday’s Dakota Oyate Challenge.

Palmier finished with a game-high 23 points, while Kristian Antelope added 14 points. Jason Thompson scored nine points and Elliot LaRoche scored eight points. Delrae St. Cloud and Nate Middletent added seven points apiece.

For Flandreau Indian, Howard Shaw scored eight points. Cael Young Bear had seven points, while Lydell Nash scored five points. 


Miller 69, James Valley Christian 66

MILLER — Three players scored in double figures as Miller slipped past James Valley Christain in Thursday night basketball action.

Isaak Hunter led all scorers with 27 points. Will Resel added 18 points and Derek Brueggeman chipped in with 14 points. 

Jerrad Wellman led James Valley Christian with 19 points. Jayven Von Scharrel added 13 points and Tayne Hermann had 10 points. 


Marty 71, Tiospaye Topa 40

MITCHELL — Three players scored in double figures to power Marty to a boys basketball win at Thursday’s Dakota Oyate Challenge.

Marty’s Amaziah Zephier recorded 17 points and Isaiah Heart scored 13 points. Greg Zephier had 11 points. Greg Costello scored six points.

For Tiospaye Topa, JaKolby Rousseau recorded 19 points and Isaiah Lee had seven points. Andrei Hojas added five points. 


Sioux Falls Christian 88, Dakota Valley 66

NORTH SIOUX CITY — Class A No. 1 Sioux Falls Christian picked up a 22-point win over Dakota Valley in Thursday boys basketball action. 

Sioux Falls Christian stats were not reported.

Dakota Valley’s Logan Collette finished with 29 points, five rebounds and three assists. Luke Bruns added 16 points, four assists and four steals. Drew Lukken had eight points. 


Sioux Valley 63, Beresford 40

BERESFORD — Sioux Valley picked up a boys basketball win on Thursday.

Sioux Valley’s Maverick Nelson scored 23 points. 

Beresford’s Malachi James netted 23 points and Cooper Nelson scored seven points. 


Spearfish 61, Rapid City Central 57

RAPID CITY — Three players reached double figures as Spearfish earned a road win over Rapid City Central in Thursday boys basketball action. 

Mason Southern paced Spearfish with 16 points and five rebounds. Bennett Kortan had 12 points and four rebounds while Dylon Doren chipped in with 10 points, six rebounds and three assists. 

Gilbert White led Rapid City Central with 26 points, eight rebounds and four steals. Julius Duran had 14 points and three rebounds for the Cobblers.
