Gregory 69, Winner 60

GREGORY — Behind Daniel Mitchell’s 31-point performance, Gregory upset Class A No. 3 Winner in boys basketball action on Monday. 

Mitchell added eight rebounds, three 3-pointers and three assists. Jordan Songer scored 16 points and grabbed six rebounds. Rane Kenzy logged 11 points, while Cruz Klundt finished with eight points and six rebounds. 

Winner’s Blake Volmer and Aiden Barfuss scored 11 points apiece. Volmer added six rebounds and Barfuss dished out six assists. Ethan Bartels logged 10 points and six rebounds, while Shawn Hammerbeck added eight points. Elijah Peterson had seven points, while Slade Cournoyer had six points and five assists. Jackson Vesely added four points and five rebounds.

Chester Area 73, Colman-Egan 41

CHESTER — Chester Area pulled away from Colman-Egan for a boys basketball win on Monday.

Stratton Eppard scored 20 points, while Brock Wages added 16 points and seven rebounds. Brayden Vogel grabbed 10 boards and Ryan Benson dished out seven assists.

For CE, Ben Zwart scored 12 points, while Antonio Manzano added 10 points and seven rebounds.


Milbank 49, Ortonville, Minn., 23

MILBANK — Milbank jumped out to a 34-4 halftime lead en route to a boys basketball win over Ortonville, Minn., on Monday. 

Bennett Schwenn led the Bulldogs with 23 points and eight rebounds. Wylie Mursu recorded nine points and 13 rebounds. Kellen Hoeke added seven points, while Garrett Mertens recorded seven rebounds.

Ortonville’s Hunter Merritt scored nine points and Owen Longnecker added eight points.

De Smet 62, Canistota 42

CANISTOTA — Class B No. 1 De Smet pulled away from Canistota for a boys basketball win on Monday.

Kalen Garry powered the Bulldogs with 27 points and eight rebounds. Damon Wilkinson added 14 points, 10 rebounds and three blocked shots. Tory Holland logged eight points and four rebounds, while Kadyn Fast had seven points and six rebounds. 

Canistota’s Tage Ortman and Tye Merrill scored 14 points apiece, while Ortman added three rebounds and four assists. Isiah Robertson logged 10 points.


Redfield 56, Britton-Hecla 50

BRITTON — Redfield edged Britton-Hecla in a boys basketball game on Monday.

Mitchell Mack scored 19 points, while Jerron Haider tallied 18 points. Peyton Osborn added 10 points.

Britton-Hecla’s BoDell Davidson scored 15 points, while Landon Carlson tallied 10 points. Ashton Mills netted nine points and Aidan Fredrickson added eight points. 


Corsica-Stickney 66, Bon Homme 37

CORSICA — Three players scored in double figures to pace Corsica-Stickney to a boys basketball win over Bon Homme on Monday.

Tyson Wentland led the Jaguars with 26 points and 12 rebounds. Cole Feenstra added 14 points, while Taven Burke logged 13 points. Robert Nichols collected eight rebounds.

Bon Homme’s Nate Hall and Riley Rothschadl scored eight points apiece. Hall added six rebounds. Karsten Kozak scored seven points, while Carter Uecker and Logan Winckler scored five points apiece. 


Girls basketball 

Lyman 64, Colome 19 

PRESHO — Skyler Volmer and Mak Scott combined for 39 points to pace Lyman to a girls basketball win over Colome on Monday.

Volmer finished with 29 points, seven steals, six rebounds and three assists. Scott added 10 points and 10 rebounds. Ellie Erikson contributed five points, while Annie Brakke added five rebounds, four points, four steals and four assists. 


Milbank 67, Ortonville, Minn., 47

MILBANK — Isabella Anderson and Maurina Street combined for 48 points to power Milbank to a girls basketball win over Ortonville, Minn., on Monday.

Anderson scored a game-high 31 points, while Street added 17 points and five rebounds. Tyra Berry scored six points. 

Ortonville’s Kendall Gronholz scored 11 points and Emma Anderson added 10 points. 


Aberdeen Roncalli 65, Tiospa Zina 31

AGENCY VILLAGE — Madelyn Bragg and Morgan Fielder combined for 31 points to lift Class B No. 1 Aberdeen Roncalli to a girls basketball win on Monday. 

Fiedler finished with 17 points and Bragg scored 14 points. Olivia Hanson and Ella Hanson scored eight points apiece. Allie Morgan scored six points. 

Tiospa Zina’s Kennadee Bissonette scored 18 points and Jaia Bursheim scored six points. 


Centerville 52, Viborg-Hurley 49

CENTERVILLE — Thea Gust and Lillie Eide combined for 34 points as Centerville edged Viborg-Hurley in girls basketball action on Monday. 

Gust scored a game-high 18 points and Eide added 16 points. Keira Austin scored eight points and Bailey Hanson grabbed eight rebounds.

Viborg-Hurley’s Denae Mach finished with 15 points and six rebounds. Coral Mason added 14 points and five rebounds. Charley Nelson recorded nine points and four rebounds, while Brooklyn Anderson had seven points and eight rebounds. 


Wilmot 32, Estelline/Hendricks 29

WILMOT — Wilmot edged Estelline/Hendricks in a girls basketball game on Monday.

Madeline Remund scored 17 points, while Marissa Getzlaff added nine points.

For EH, Kenzy Beare scored 14 points, while Kate Wegner and Sadie Johnson each added six points.


Redfield 47, Britton-Hecla 37

BRITTON — Redfield picked up a girls basketball win over Britton-Hecla on Monday.

Gracie Fast scored 10 points, while Ashlyn Clausen and Camryn Rohlfs each netted nine points. Chelsea Smith added eight points.

For BH, Goiuri Sarria and Jenna Werner each tallied nine points. Jayden Bender netted seven points and Sterling Brassfield added six points.
