Rapid City Stevens 50, Rapid City Central 38

RAPID CITY — Taaliyah Porter paced Class AA No. 5 Rapid City Stevens to a girls basketball win over rival Rapid City Central on Friday.

Porter finished 22 points and 10 rebounds. She needs three points to tie Becky Hammon’s all-time Rapid City Stevens girls basketball scoring record (1,417).

Hayden Thorton added nine points, while Finley Love scored seven points. Haley Falcon scored six points. 

For Rapid City Central, Chloe Shreve scored 16 points and grabbed six rebounds. Leah Landry added 10 points and 15 rebounds. Colee Kruse scored six points. 


Northwestern 46, Langford Area 29

MELLETTE — Three players scored in double figures during Northwestern’s victory over Langford Area Friday.

Ashley Haven tallied 15 points and seven rebounds, Tara Blachford had 10 points and five rebounds, Adriana Ratigan recorded 10 points and four rebounds while Ella Boekelheide totaled six points, seven rebounds and four assists in the win.

LA’s Paytyn Marlow had 10 points and six rebounds, Alex Darling tallied seven points and five rebounds, while Lizzie Gustafson and Eliana Darling each had five points in the loss.


Mount Vernon/Plankinton 41, Winner 36

WINNER — Mount Vernon/Plankinton clipped Winner in girls basketball action on Friday.

MVP’s Reagan Rus tossed in a game-high 25 points. Madalynn Lorang added eight points.

Winner’s Kylie Sachtjen posted 12 points. 


Harding County 54, Hill City 40

BUFFALO — A balanced scoring attack powered Class B No. 5 Harding County to a high school girls basketball victory Friday.

Macey Wendt led the Ranchers with 16 points, seven rebounds, five assists and four steals, Brayden Padden tallied 10 points and four steals, Raelee Hunsucker totaled eight points, Bailey Verhulst had seven points while Kamry Padden tallied six points in the win.

Hill City’s Rarity Cournoyer collected 18 points and 15 rebounds, Alaina Dean tallied 13 points and 17 rebounds, while Aspen Veneklasen added nine points and three rebounds in the loss.


Sioux Valley 71, Lakota Tech 53

VOLGA — Five players scored in double figures as Sioux Valley earned a win over Lakota Tech in girls basketball action Thursday. 

Talya Vincent knocked down six 3-pointers and finished with 18 points. Kailey Cradduck contributed 17 points, five rebounds, three assists and three steals. Amari Wood scored 12 points while Keyra Kruse and Liberty Trygstad both had 10 points. 

Shaniea Ferguson led Lakota Tech with 26 points. Isabella Shangreaux added nine points and Lizzie Robinson had six points and 11 rebounds. 


Sunshine Bible Academy 47, Aberdeen Christian 36

MILLER — Three players reached double figure scoring as Sunshine Bible Academy slipped past Aberdeen Christian in girls basketball action Friday. 

Ciara Mickelson led Sunshine Bible Academy with 13 points and 11 rebounds. Tessa Hinman added 13 points while Breanna Thieman finished with ten points. 

Sophia Eichler led Aberdeen Christian with 14 points and 10 rebounds. 


McCook Central/Montrose 29, Canistota 26

SALEM — McCook Central/Montrose edged Canistota in girls basketball action on Friday.

MCM’s Ella DeKnikker scored nine points, while Mya Morrison had eight points and nine rebounds. Mandi Schock had six points and seven rebounds.

For Canistota, Autumn Hutcheson had nine points and 10 rebounds. Bailey Spicer added seven points and Emma Sandman had five points. 


Burke 44, Tripp-Delmont/Armour 37

BURKE — Emmie Hausmann’s 25-point game lifted Burke to a high school girls basketball win Friday over Tripp-Delmont/Armour.

Hausmann finished with 25 points, Paige Bull recorded eight points, 11 rebounds, four assists and a steal, Olivia Bull added six points and six rebounds, while Kailee Frank tallied five points and five rebounds in the win.

TDA’s Mia Reiner led the Nighthawks with 12 points while Kinley Spaans and Belle Hotchkiss each tallied eight points in the loss.


Herreid-Selby Area 53, Ipswich 36

IPSWICH — A balanced scoring attack powered Herreid-Selby Area to a girls basketball victory Friday.

Katie Allbee led with 17 points, Taryn Hettick had 11 points, 11 rebounds, three assists and three steals, Jordyn Rossow had nine points and 10 rebounds while Stephanie Allbee recorded nine points in the win as well.

Ipswich’s Gabby Wald had 16 points, four rebounds and four steals, Marley Guthmiller tallied eight points and three rebounds, while Jalyssa Hutson recorded seven points in the loss.


Tiospaye Topa 56, Tiospa Zina 22

MITCHELL — Four players scored in double figures to power Tiospaye Topa to a girls basketball win at Friday’s Dakota Oyate Challenge. Tiospaye Topa will play Omaha Nation for the championship on Saturday.

Tiospaye Topa’s Pamela Meeter and Tyrianna Hawk Bear scored 16 points apiece. Leilani Bowker added 14 points. Cadence Bernie scored 10 points.

For Tiospa Zina, Latice Rodlund scored five points.


Omaha Nation 61, Marty 26

MITCHELL — Omaha Nation defeated Marty for a girls basketball win at Friday’s Dakota Oyate Challenge. Omaha Nation will play Tiospaye Topa for the championship on Saturday. 

Omaha Nation’s Mikkel Parker scored 27 points and hit four 3-pointers. Taylece McCauley added 11 points and Dailene Walker scored 10 points.

For Marty, Zoe Waln scored 10 points and Rozario Zephier added nine points.


North Central 51, Strasburg-Zeeland (N.D.) 10

EUREKA — A balanced scoring attack propelled North Central to a girls basketball victory Friday.

Amree Vander Vorst led the charge with 11 points, Ella Batie had nine points and five rebounds, Alaina Dosch tallied six points while Becca Batie and Lindsey Geier each had seven points in the win.
