Jayce Pugh paces Miller girls to team title at Class B Classic

MITCHELL — Jayce Pugh paced the Miller girls to a team title at Friday’s Class B Classic at Lakeview Golf Course.

Pugh fired a 77, tying with Clark/Willow Lake’s Brynn Roehrich for first place. Pugh earned individual medalist honors after a tiebreaker. 

Platte-Geddes’ Leah Schuman (81), Doland’s Olivia Knox (81) and St. Mary’s Maddison Bacon (82) rounded out the top-five finishers. 

The Miller girls won the team title, finishing with a 255. St. Mary’s (257) and Clark/Willow Lake (264) rounded out the top-three teams.

On the boys side, Miller’s Derek Brueggeman (72) and Wolsey-Wessington’s Larz Tvedt (72) tied for individual medalist honors. Chester’s Carter Vogel (75), Platte-Geddes (76) and Hill City’s Breylon Rahn (77) rounded out the top-five finishers. 

The Hill City boys won the team title with a 238. Miller (239) and Platte-Geddes (239) tied for second place.
