MISSION — Winner’s Joseph Laprath and Todd County seventh-grader Shelly Larvie won cross-country titles at Tuesday’s Todd County Invitational run on the Prairie Hills Golf course. 

Laprath, a senior, ran the 5,000-meter course in 17 minutes and :37.51 seconds, well ahead of Crow Creek’s Justin St. John (18:52) and Crazy Horse’s Devaughn Between Lodges (18:59). White River’s Elijah Haukaas (19:00) and Cheyenne-Eagle Butte’s Damien Clown (19:31) rounded out the top-five finishers.

In the girls race, Shelly Larvie ran the 5,000-meter course in 22:15, just ahead of St. Francis Indian School’s Wi Wanbli Little Thunder (22:35) and Winner’s Cameron Olson (23:25). Todd County athletes Cadance Amiotte (24:33) and Alexsis Red Bird (24:35) rounded out the top-five finishers. 

In the boys team competition the Crazy Horse boys came out on top scoring 45 points, ahead of Little Wound (47) and St. Francis Indian (92).
