Parkston 9, Alexandria 1

PARKSTON — Parkston pounded 10 hits in a Legion baseball victory over Alexandria Friday night.

Leading the charge for Parkston was James Deckert batting 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs, Brody Boettcher drove in two runs on one hit, Luke Bormann drove in a run on one hit and two walks, Brayden Jervik tallied two hits, while Carter Sommer, Maddux Brissette, Kolter Kramer, and Drew Braley each tallied hits in the win.

Sommer earned the victory on the mound for Parkston, allowing one run on three hits and six walks, striking out six.

For Alexandria, Jackson Jarding took the loss in 3.2 innings, issuing three runs on three hits and six walks, striking out two.

Ben Wilber tallied two hits, a double, and an RBI, while Jarding tallied one hit and a one walk in the loss as well.


Winner/Colome 6, Platte/Geddes 3

WINNER —  Payton Fisher’s complete game on the mound assisted a Legion baseball victory over Platte/Geddes Friday night.

Fisher allowed just three runs on five hits and three walks in seven innings pitched to earn the victory on the mound for W/C.

Ryder Halligan drove in two runs on two hits, a double and a walk, Landon Calhoon and Aiden Barfuss each drove in a run on one hit, while Camdyn Anderson and Fisher each tallied hits in the win.

For P/G, Hayden Sprik took the loss in a four inning outing, allowing five runs on six hits and four walks, striking out five.

Ashton Krumvieda drove in a run on two hits, Kenyon Kuiper tallied a hit and an RBI, while Joey Foxley tallied a triple in the loss.


Brandon Valley 8, Champlin (Minn.) 0 (6 innings)

ST. PAUL — Jackson Adams and Will VanLeur limited Champlin to just two hits during a Legion baseball victory Friday.

Adams earned the victory on the mound for BV, issuing one hit and four walks in four innings of work, striking out two, while VanLeur issued just one hit over two innings, striking out three more batters.

Drake Jellema led the BV offense with two hits, a double, a triple, and two RBIs, Ryland Carroll drove in a run on a triple, Mason Veld and Nolan Pudwill each drove in a run on one hit, while Brayden Knutson tallied two hits and an RBI in the win as well.

For Champlin, Chase Oxborough took the loss in 3.1 innings, issuing four runs on four hits and a walk, striking out two.

Rhys George tallied the only two hits in the loss for Champlin.


Dell Rapids 7, Lake Norden/Badger 1

DELL RAPIDS — Drake Eastman’s nine strikeouts helped Dell Rapids defeat Lake Norden/Badger in Legion baseball action Friday.

Eastman tossed all seven innings for DR, issuing one run on five hits and three walks, striking out nine to earn the victory on the mound.

Mason Stubbe tallied two RBIs on a double and a walk, Eastman drove in a run, Lincoln Fersdahl drove in a run on two hits, including a double, Tad Tjaden drove in a run on a walk, while Sutton Williams, Treyse Eastman, and Talan Millage added a combined four hits in the win.

For LN/B, Lane Tvedt took the loss in 2.2 innings of work, allowing seven runs on five hits and three walks.

Turner Stevenson drove in a run on one hit and a walk, while Tyson Stevenson, Dawson Noem, George Jensen, and Christian Rodriguez each tallied hits in the loss.


Wagner 12, Mount Vernon/Plankinton/Corsica-Stickney 2 (5 innings)

WAGNER — Christian Doom and Joey Couroyer collected a combined seven hits and seven RBIs during a Legion baseball victory over Mount Vernon/Plankinton/Corsica-Stickney Friday.

Doom batted 4-for-4 driving in four runs for Wagner, while Cournoyer batted 3-for-3, including a double, driving in three runs in the win. Frank Soukup tallied two hits, a double, a walk, and an RBI, Landon Mudder tallied one hit that drove in two runs, while Ted Slaba collected two hits in the win.

Joey Cournoyer and Brady Cournoyer combined for the victory on the mound, allowing just two unearned runs on three hits and three walks, striking out eight.

For MVPCS, Three pitchers combined for the loss, with Blaine Bohr seeing the most time on the mound at 2.2 innings, allowing two runs on five hits and two walks.

Tyson Wentland tallied two hits and an RBI, Brady Fox drove in a run on two walks, while Cain Tobin tallied a hit in the loss as well.


Manitoba (Canada) 9, Brandon Valley 0 (5 innings)

ST. PAUL — Seven different Manitoba batters drove in a run during a Legion baseball victory over Brandon Valley Friday.

Jackson Thiessen tallied two RBIs on a double and a walk, Cole Adamson drove in a run on three hits, including two doubles, Logan Patterson drove in a run on two hits, Nate Lodewyk and Tyler Mollons each drove in a run on one hit, Lincoln Carriere tallied two hits and two walks, while Hudson Nikkel and Caleb Lagace each drove in a run in the win for Manitoba.

Graham Thiessen took the victory on the mound in four shutout innings, issuing one hit and one walk, striking out five batters.

For BV, Will VanLuer took the loss in one inning on the mound, allowing two runs on one hit and one walk, striking out two.

Brayden Knutson and Drake Jellema each tallied hits in the loss.


Grafton (N.D.) 9, Milbank 0 (5 innings)

CLARK — Grafton’s Tony Villarreal struck out 14 batters during a Legion baseball victory over Milbank Friday.

Villarreal issued just one hit in five shutout innings, striking out 14 batters to take the victory on the mound.

Villarreal and Ty Storey each drove in a run on two hits, including a double by Storey, Kyan Burns drove in two runs on two hits, Brody Lillemoen drove in three runs on one hit, while Kruiser Burns tallied two hits in the victory for Grafton.

For Milbank, Josh Pederson took the loss in 0.2 innings, issuing four runs on six hits and a walk.

Nolan Scheely tallied the lone hit in the loss for Milbank.


LAW Rattlers (N.D.) 11, Groton 2 (5 innings)

CLARK — LAW drove in 10 runs on eight hits during a Legion baseball victory over Groton Friday.

Berkley Frantz led the offense with two hits and three RBIs, Blake Goebel, Levi Keeney, and Colin Goettle each drove in two runs on a combined two hits, while Caleb Kosiak tallied three hits in the win as well.

For Groton, Ryan Groeblinghoff took the loss in 3.1 innings, allowing nine runs on six hits and four walks.

Carter Simon tallied two hits in two at-bats, Bradin Althoff drove in a run on a double, while Dillon Abeln and Gavin Englund each tallied hits in the loss for Groton.


Hankinson/Lidgerwood (N.D.) 4, Milbank 2

CLARK — After Milbank loaded the bases in the seventh with only one out, Hankinson/Lidgerwood’s Matthew Meyer struck out two straight batters to secure the victory over Milbank.

Meyer tossed 2.1 shutout innings of relief for H/L, surrendering just three hits and three walks, striking out three. Jarrett Fredrickson earned the victory on the mound for H/L, issuing two runs on three hits and three walks, striking out six batters in the first 4.2 innings.

Fredrickson, Oaklee Medenwadt, Brenden Larson, and Parker Falk each drove in a run on one hit, including doubles by Fredrickson and Medenwadt. Matt Bladow cracked a double, while Blaise Frolek tallied a hit in the win as well.

For Milbank, Jace Jonasen took the loss in six innings on the mound, issuing four runs on six hits and three walks.

Joe Schulte tallied three hits, a double and a triple, driving in a run, Tanner Hallquist drove in a run on one hit, while Jonasen a tallied hit in the loss.


Creighton Prep FPB (Neb.) 6, Aberdeen Smittys 3

WACONIA — Creighton Prep FPB’s five-run sixth-inning helped defeat Aberdeen in Legion baseball action Friday.

John Lisec drove in two runs on one hit and a walk for Creighton, Henry Batholomew and Charlie Ziola each tallied an RBI on one hit, while Michael Chase tallied two hits and a walk in the win as well.

Easton Loucks took the victory on the mound for Creighton in a complete game effort, allowing three runs on six hits and three walks, striking out six strikeouts.

For Aberdeen, Zane Backous took the loss in 4.2 innings, allowing five unearned runs on four hits and four walks, tallying seven strikeouts.

Cooper Eisenbeisz tallied two hits and an RBI, Drew Salfrank and Talan Dutenhoeffer each drove in a run on one hit, while Backous and Phillip Zens each tallied hits in the loss.


LaCrescent (Minn.) 2, Aberdeen Smittys 1

WACONIA — Boyer’s complete game on the mound helped LaCrescent defeat Aberdeen in Legion baseball action Friday.

Boyer tossed all seven innings, issuing one run on six hits and a walk, striking out three batters to earn the victory on the mound.

Myhre tallied the only two hits of the game for LaCrescent, driving in a run.

For Aberdeen, Phillip Zens took the loss in six innings on the mound, giving up two runs on one hit and three walks, striking out 10 batters.

Casey Vining tallied two hits and an RBI, Jackson Welke tallied two hits, Drew Salfrank tallied a double, while Grant Beyer earned a single in the loss as well.


West Fargo (N.D.) 5, Rapid City Post 320 2 (6 innings)

ELKO NEW MARKET — West Fargo’s Jackson Gillienbe drove in two runs during a Legion baseball victory over Rapid City Friday.

Gillienbe drove in two runs on a 1-for-2 day batting, Seth Wigestrand drove in a run on a double, while Brody Medina, Cooper Fucus, Charlie Lesnarsky, and Landon Trottgruben each tallied hits in the win.

Parker Hoff took the victory on the mound for West Fargo, issuing one run on four hits and two walks, striking out five in five innings pitched.

For Rapid City, Nolan Williamson took the loss in five innings pitched, issuing five runs on six hits and two walks, striking out nine batters.

Jacob Decker and Porter Muck each drove in a run on one hit, including a double by Muck, while Colton Mehlhaff, Ben Dressler, Anderson Lockhart and Ian Feeger each tallied hits in the loss.


Rapid City Post 320 8, Lincoln Northwest (Neb.) 7

ELKO NEW MARKET — Rapid City held on to an early 7-0 lead to defeat Lincoln Northwest in Legion baseball action Friday.

Tanner Knutson earned the victory on the mound for Rapid City, allowing three runs on six hits in three innings pitched.

Ian Feeger and Jonah Blake each drove in two runs on one hit, including a double by Blake, Tysen Heintzman batted 2-for-3 with an RBI, while Maxon Speed and Porter Muck each drove in a run on one hit, including a double by Muck.

For Lincoln NW, Noah Stevens took the loss in four innings pitched, issuing eight runs on six hits and four walks.

Andrew Miller drove in two runs on two doubles while Quinn Lange drove in two runs on one hit in the loss as well.


Brookings 11, East Ridge (Minn.) 2 (5 innings)

EDEN PRAIRIE — Zach Struck drove in three runs during a Legion baseball victory over East Ridge Friday.

Struck batted 2-for-3 with a double and three RBIs for Brookings, Addison Ronning and Sam Johnson each drove in two runs on two hits, David Brink tallied an RBI on two hits, Tate Helmboldt and Nolan Miles each drove in a run on one hit, while Owen Schneider and Tyson Antonen each tallied hits in the win.

Helmboldt earned the victory on the mound for East Ridge, surrendering two runs on seven hits and a walk, striking out four batters in 4.2 innings.

For East Ridge, Travis Reck took the loss allowing nine runs on 12 hits and two walks, striking out six.

Cody Berg drove in a run on two hits, including a double, David Palmer drove in a run on one hit, while Tyler Linzmeier and Zach Willard each tallied two hits, including two doubles by Linzmeier and another double by Willard in the loss.

 

Tea 6, Scotland/Menno 3

TEA — Jake Lingren and Nathan Christensen combined for 12 strikeouts as tea defeated Scotland Menno in Legion baseball action Friday night.

Lingren earned the victory on the mound for Tea, allowing three runs on six hits and four walks, striking out seven in 4.1 innings pitched, while Christensen allowed just two hits over 2.2 innings, striking out five more batters.

Gavin Johnson led Tea in hits with three, including a double, Christensen and Tim Halbur each drove in a run on two hits, including a double by Halbur, Boston Willemssen drove in two runs on one hit and a walk, while Clayton Schwebach and Carter Turek each tallied a hit and an RBI in the win.

For Scotland/Menno, Bryce Sattler took the loss in five innings pitched, allowing six runs on 10 hits and three walks, striking out two.

Kory Keppen batted 4-for-4 with an RBI, Parker Hochstein drove in a run on one hit and a walk, while Sattler, Evan Scharberg, and Lane Pavel each tallied hits in the loss.


Vermillion 6, Baltic/Colton 2

BALTIC — Trey Hansen drove in three runs during a Legion baseball victory over Baltic/Colton Friday night.

Hansen tallied a double and three RBIs in the win, Mikey Roob drove in two runs on two hits, a double, and a walk, Conner Peterson tallied two hits while Hayden Christopherson collected one hit in the win as well.

Peterson earned the victory on the mound allowing three hits and a walk in 2.1 innings pitched, striking out one batter.

For B/C, Carter Sorenson took the loss in 5.1 innings, allowing three runs on two hits and five walks, striking out three.

Sorenson, Gunner Schultz, and Tate Fuecht each tallied two hits, while Everett Althoff and Beau Keith each drove in a run in the loss.


Lisbon (N.D.) 5, Salem/Montrose/Canova 2

CLARK — Cameron Opp struck out eight batters during a Legion baseball victory over S/M/C Friday night.

Opp issued two runs on two hits and four walks in 6.1 innings, striking out eight to earn the victory on the mound for Lisbon.

Brandt Levos and Jordyn Bittner each drove in two runs on one hit, Lincoln Adair drove in a run on one hit, while Grady Wehlander tallied two hits in the win.

For SMC, Luke Koepsell took the loss despite a seven-inning effort, allowing five runs on seven hits and four walks, striking out seven.

Carter Randall tallied two hits, Koepsell drove in a run on a hit and a walk, while Kade Schumaker tallied a hit in the loss as well.


Yankton 12, Coon Rapids (Minn.) 3

EDINA — Lucas Kampshoff’s 4-for-4 day helped Yankton defeat Coon Rapids in Legion baseball Friday evening.

Kampshoff added a double, homer, and an RBI in his four hit day, Easton Feser and Owen Wishon each drove in two runs on two hits, including home runs by both Feser and Wishon, Kael Garry drove in two runs on a double, while Kaden Hughes and Easton Nelson each tallied an RBI on a combined three hits and two walks.

Frankie Inveld earned the victory on the mound for Yankton, issuing three runs on two hits and four walks, striking out seven batters in five innings.

For Coon Rapids, Kjell Norquist took the loss in six innings on the mound, allowing seven runs on 10 hits and a walk, striking out six.

Jayden Kopp drove in a run on one hit and a walk for Coon Rapids, while Tommy Dutton and Norquist each tallied hits in the loss.


Moline (Illinois) 10, Brookings 0 (5 innings)

EDEN PRAIRIE — Two Moline pitchers combined to give up just one hit during a Legion baseball victory over Brookings Friday.

Chase Tholl earned the victory on the mound, issuing one hit and two walks, striking one.

Brock Luna drove in three runs on a double, Dawson Peterson and Dylan Phelps each drove in two runs on a combined three hits and two walks, while Patrick Schnell and George Hoss each tallied an RBI on a combined three hits as well.

For Brookings, David Brink took the loss issuing six runs on five walks.

Sam Johnson tallied the only hit of the game for Brookings.


Grand Rapids (Mich.) 8, Huron 2

MINNETONKA — Grand Rapids cracked 14 hits during a Legion baseball victory over Huron Friday.

D Ferguson, Luke LaCross, Easton Denton, and Chad Fisher Jr. led the charge for Grand Rapids, combining for 10 hits and  two RBIs, while Peyton Teachworth and Kyler Larson each drove in a run on one hit in the win.

LaCross earned the victory on the mound in seven innings pitched, allowing two runs on six hits and two walks, striking out nine batters.

For Huron, Layne Wenzel took the loss in three innings pitched, issuing seven runs on 12 hits.

Kolton Ogle and Trace Wenz each tallied two hits, including a double by Wenz, while Jackson Mattke and Logan Leyendecker each drove in a run in the loss for Huron.


Hopkins (Minn.) 6, Huron 5

MINNETONKA — Colin McGie’s walk-off single lifted Hopkins over Huron in Legion action Friday night.

McGie batted 1-for-2 with two walks and an RBI, Lincoln Heath, Wyatt Petersen, Luke Guggenberger, and Josh Paskoff each drove in a run on one hit, including a double by Paskoff, while Ethan Sawatski tallied two hits and an RBI in the win for Hopkins.

Liam Dalle earned the victory on the mound in seven innings, issuing five runs on five hits and two walks, striking out five batters.

For Huron, Jack Pedersen took the loss in six innings of work, allowing six runs on eight hits and four walks, striking out four.

Logan Leyendecker drove in a run on two hits, Kolton Ogle cracked a grand slam, while Jackson Mattke and Bubba Peterson each tallied hits in the loss.


Renner Royals 10, New Prague (Minn.) 0 (5 innings)

PRIOR LAKE — Jacob Sanderson drove in three runs during a Legion baseball victory over New Prague Friday.

Sanderson batted 2-for-3, including a triple and three RBIs, Sullivan Schlimgen, Braylon Bear, and Brogan Moffitt each drove in one run on one hit, including a double by Schlimgen, Hunter Den Boer cracked two doubles, while Charlie Hueners and Brody Jacobsen each drove in a run on a walk for Renner. Kyle Konechne tallied a double, while Zachary Dunham tallied a hit in the win as well.

Jackson Bjorkman earned the victory on the mound for Renner, tossing four shutout innings, allowing just three hits while striking out three batters.

For New Prague, Derek Aasen took the loss in 2.2 innings, allowing five runs on four hits and a walk.

Karder Schmoll, Reven Tietz, and Aidan Bell each tallied hits in the loss for New Prague.
