Brandon Valley Post 131 8, Pierre Post 8 7

PIERRE — Brandon Valley Post 131 used a five-run sixth inning to edge Pierre Post 8 in a Legion baseball game on Saturday.

Aiden Zerr picked up the win for Brandon Valley Post 131, allowing one run on five hits in six innings, while striking out three and walking one. Tate Ivers started the game for Brandon Valley Post 131, giving up five hits and six runs in one inning.

Nick Hokenstad led Brandon Valley Post 131 with three hits in four at bats. Sam Sejnoha and Cole Frisbie each had two RBI, while Hokenstad and Austin Reiter each added one RBI.

Jayden Wiebe took the loss for Pierre Post 8, allowing two hits and five runs, while striking out one in 1 ⅓ innings. Jackson Edman started the game for Pierre Post 8, giving up six hits and three runs and seven strikeouts in 4 ⅓ innings.

George Stalley, Gary Nedved, and Bennett Dean each had two hits to lead Pierre Post 8, while Stalley led with three RBI. Lincoln Kienholz hammered a two-run homer, while Nedved and Dean added one RBI apiece. 


Pierre Post 8 3, Brandon Valley Post 131 0

PIERRE — Bennett Dean threw a five-hit shutout to pace Pierre Post 8 to a Legion baseball win over Brandon Valley Post 131 on Saturday. 

Dean struck out four batters and walked two batters on 103 pitches. 

Offensively, Lincoln Kienholz recorded three hits and belted a solo homer. Jett Zabel added two hits and an RBI. Jayden Wiebe and Gary Nedved each added hits. 

Brandon Valley’s Ayden Spicer logged two hits, while Matt Brown, Daniel Butyen and Ty Peyton each had hits. Jared Zerr lasted the first five innings, finishing with five strikeouts, giving up six hits and two earned runs. 


Post 74 Bandits 4, Yankton Post 12 0

BROOKINGS — The Post 74 Bandits picked up a Legion baseball win over Yankton Post 12 on Saturday.

Nathan Lease Led the Post 74 Bandits on the hill, allowing zero runs on five hits in seven innings.

Justin Cofell led the Post 74 Bandits with two hits, while Cofell, Sam Hardin, Lincoln Hardin, and Breck Hirrschoff each had one RBI.

Joe Gokie took the loss for Yankton Post 12, allowing two runs on five hits, while striking out six and walking one.

Gokie, Dylan Prouty, Jace McCorkell, Lucas Kampshoff, and Cody Oswald each had one hit to lead Yankton Post 12.


Post 74 Bandits 11, Aberdeen Smittys 5

BROOKINGS — The Post 74 Bandits used a seven run first inning to race past the Aberdeen Smittys for a Legion baseball win on Saturday.

Lincoln Hardin took the win for the Post 74 Bandits, allowing three runs on four hits and striking out four in six innings.

Justin Cofell and Breck Hirrschoff led the Post 74 Bandits  with two hits apiece, while Cofell and Austin Clark each had two RBI.

Casey Vining took the loss for the Aberdeen Smittys, allowing eight hits and nine runs in four innings, while striking out one.

Jaiden Smith led the Aberdeen Smittys with three hits in four at bats and two RBI.


Yankton Post 12 4, Aberdeen Smittys 0

BROOKINGS — Yankton Post 12 earned a shutout victory over the Aberdeen Smittys in a Legion baseball game on Saturday.

Landon Loecker took the win for Yankton Post 12, giving up zero runs on four hits in seven innings, while striking out three and walking one.

Joe Gokie led Yankton Post 12 with three hits in four at bats. Lucas Kampshoff, Dylan Prouty, Drew Ryken, and Sam Kampshoff each had one hit, Lucas Kampshoff and Prouty adding one RBI apiece.

Josh Steinwandt took the loss for the Aberdeen Smittys, allowing four runs on seven hits, while striking out two in five innings.

Drew Salfrank led the Aberdeen Smittys with two hits in three at bats, while Steinwandt and Jaiden Smith added one hit apiece.


Sheridan (Wyo.) 17, Spearfish Post 164 1

SHERIDAN, Wyo. — Sheridan (Wyo.) raced past Spearfish Post 164 for a Legion baseball win on Saturday.

Cody Chapman took the loss for Spearfish Post 164, allowing three runs on five hits, while striking out one in 1 ⅔ innings. Hogan Tystad started the game for Spearfish Post 164, giving up two hits and four runs in 2 ⅓ innings, while striking out one.

Kadion Feyereisen led Spearfish Post 164 with two hits in three at bats. Tystad and Braden Ericks had one hit apiece, while Tystad also drove in one run.


Gregory County 11, Sioux Falls Post 15 1

GREGORY — Gregory County raced past Post 15 for a Legion baseball win on Saturday.

Bryce Frank took the win on the hill for Gregory County, allowing one run on one hit, while striking out five and walking one in 4 ⅓ innings.

Trey Murray, Rylan Peck, and Brogan Glover led Gregory County with two hits apiece. Sawyer Tietgen tallied three RBI, while Peck, Murray, and Frank each added two RBI.

Ethan Rames took the loss for Sioux Falls Post 15, giving up four runs on two hits in three innings, while striking out four.

Brycen Top led Sioux Falls Post 15 with one hit in two at bats.


Winner/Colome 5, Sioux Falls Post 15 1

WINNER — Winner/Colome earned a Legion baseball win over Sioux Falls Post 15 on Saturday.

Ethan Bartels led Winner/Colome on the mound, allowing one hit and zero runs, while striking out four and walking one.

Joey Cole led Winner/Colome with three hits in four at bats and three RBI, including one home run in the third inning. Bartels and Jack Peters added two hits apiece.

Brody Bohnet took the loss for Sioux Falls Post 15, giving up five runs on ten hits in six innings, while striking out eight.

Bohnet, Luke Nelson, Caden Hvam, Wesley Stroh, and Camden Hvam each had one hit for Sioux Falls Post 15. Camden Hvam also drove in one run.


Rapid City Post 320 Stars 10, Post 15 East 6

RAPID CITY — The Rapid City Post 320 Stars held off Post 15 East for a Legion baseball win on Saturday.

Jett Wetzler took the win for the Post 320 Stars, allowing eight hits and six runs in 6 ⅔ innings, while striking out four and walking one.

James Furchner, Lane Darrow, Gavyn Dansby, and Walker Vliestra each tallied two hits for the Post 320 Stars. Dansby led with four RBI, while Darrow added three RBI.

Jackson Boe took the loss for Post 15 East, pitching 3 ⅓ innings, while allowing six hits and six runs and four strikeouts.

Sawyer Tolk and Mason Tolrud each had two hits to lead Post 15 East, while Tolrud added two RBI.


Post 15 East 18, Rapid City Post 320 Stars 11

RAPID CITY — Post 15 East scored seven runs in the top of the seventh inning to pull away from the Rapid City Post 320 Stars in a Legion baseball game on Saturday.

Jack Smith picked up the win for Post 15 East, giving up two runs on six hits in 5 ⅔ innings, while striking out five.

Cael Swanson led Post 15 East with three hits in six at bats and four RBI, while Sawyer Tolk, Tristan Fitzsimmons, Tate Schafer, and Ryan Husman each added two hits. Andrew Glovich recorded three RBI, while Smith, Tolk, and Mason Tolrud added two RBi apiece. Glovich had one home run in the seventh inning.

Hayden Leighty took the loss for the Post 320 Stars, allowing eight runs on five hits in 2 ⅔ innings, while striking out four.

The Post 320 Stars tallied 12 hits, with Gavyn Dansby leading with four hits in five at bats. Mason Mehlhaff had three hits while Lane Darrow and Ryan Rufledt each added two hits. Rufledt, Mehlhaff, and Jace Wetzler each tallied two RBI.


Rapid City Post 22 14, Post 15 West 3

RAPID CITY — The Post 22 Hardhats used an 11-run third inning to pull away from Post 15 West for a Legion baseball win on Saturday.

Wyatt Anderson led the Post 22 Hardhats to the win, allowing six hits and three runs in four innings, while striking out three and walking one.

The Post 22 Hardhats recorded 14 hits, with Alex Dietrich tallying three hits in four at bats to lead the team. Philip Bentz, Harrison Good, Jed Jenson, and Ryker Henne each added two hits. Henne had four RBI, while Dietrich and Zeke Farlee added three and two RBI, respectively.

Dexter Payne took the loss for Post 15 West, allowing ten hits and 11 runs in 2 ⅔ innings, while striking out two.

Jaxon DeHaan led Post 15 West with two hits. Noah Goodroad, Jordan Kinzer, and Keegan Johnston each had one RBI.


Rapid City Post 22 7, Post 15 West 1

RAPID CITY — Rapid City Post 22 earned a sweep over Sioux Falls Post 15 West in a Legion baseball doubleheader on Saturday. 

Mars Sailer drove in three runs, while Peyton Tipton and Dylon Marsh had two hits apiece. Brian Atkinson got the win for Post 22, allowing four hits and one earned run, while striking out two batters and walking one in the complete-game performance. 

Treyson Harty-Olsen, Keegan Johnston, Ryan Rysavy and Hunter Robinson each had hits. Jaxon DeHaan took the loss after allowing seven runs (four earned) on eight hits and struck out one batter in his four-inning start.
