Dell Rapids Post 65 11, Madison Post 25 8 

DELL RAPIDS — Dell Rapids scored three runs in the seventh inning to secure a Region 2B Legion baseball win over Madison on Monday. 

Landon Ruesink led Dell Rapids with two hits and three RBI. Brayden Pankonen added two hits, while Jack Henry, C.J. Smith, Will Jaton, Treyse Eastman and Braden Fersdahl each added hits Henry and Fersdahl drove in two runs apiece. Tad Tjaden earned the win after striking out four batters and giving up one hit in two scoreless relief innings. 

Madison’s Mason Kennington and Mike Peters had two hits apiece. Riley Kearin, Jared Kennington and Trey Smith each added hits. Nate Ricke took the loss after giving up two hits, two earned runs, three walks and two strikeouts in two relief innings. 

Dell Rapids Post 65 17, Flandreau Post 70 9

DELL RAPIDS — Trailing 9-8, Dell Rapids Post 65 scored nine runs in the final two innings to earn a Region 2B Legion baseball win on Monday. 

Joe Rechtenbaugh finished with three hits and three RBI. C.J. Smith, Will Jaton and Treyse Eastman had two hits apiece. Jaton and Austin Harvey drove in two runs apiece. Landon Ruesink, Mason Stubbe, Braden Fersdahl and Tad Tjaden each had hits. Brayden Pankonen earned the win after striking out four batters, allowing two hits, two walks and zero runs in 2.1 relief innings. 

Flandreau’s Ethan Hoffman finished with four hits and drove in a run. Sam Gassman added three hits and an RBI, while Maddox Biever added two hits and two RBI. Tash Lunday struck out eight batters, allowed seven hits, five earned runs and four walks in his 5.1-inning start. 

Post 307 3, Post 15 East 2

RENNER — Garret Hoffman’s walk-off sacrifice fly lifted Post 307 to a Legion baseball win over Post 15 East on Monday. 

Leo Hueners finished 2 of 4 at the plate and drove in a run. Trey Heckenliable, Preston Konechne, Carter Petersen, Emanuel Struck and Kyle Konechne each had hits. Mav Jarding allowed three hits and struck out three batters in three scoreless relief innings to earn the win. 

Sawyer Tolk finished with three hits for Post 15, while Dylan Rippentrop had two hits and drove in a run. Tolk took the loss after allowing three hits, one earned run, three walks and struck out one batter in 1.1 relief innings. 

Garretson 12, Baltic Post 175 2 (5 innings)

DELL RAPIDS — Garretson plated seven runs in the fifth inning to 10-run rule Baltic in Region 2B Legion baseball action on Monday. 

Tayson Swatek led Garretson with three hits and two RBI. Colby Buseman, Jayse Miller, Jaylen Kemp and Ryan Flanagan had two hits apiece. Jake Schroeder and Nate Skillman each had hits. Kemp drove in two runs. Miller struck out three batters, allowed three hits, earned runs and walked four batters in five innings to earn the win. 

Baltic’s Beau Keith, Riley Schultz and Caleb Kittelson each had a hit. Schultz drove in two runs. Andrew VanDam gave up 11 hits, 10 earned runs, one walk and struck out two batters in his four-inning start to take the loss. 

Mitchell Post 18 16, Post 15 West 8

SIOUX FALLS — Mitchell Post 18 scored 10 runs in the final two innings to secure a Legion baseball win on Monday. 

Jonah Schmidt led Mitchell with two hits and five RBI, including a three-run homer. Seth Muth and Joe VanOverschelde had two hits and one RBI apiece. Carson Fahey logged a hit and an RBI. Jace Larson allowed five hits, three earned runs, walked three and struck out three batters in his five-inning start. 

Jordyn Kinzer and Isaac Adam led Post 15 with two hits and two RBI. Noah Goodrich, Treyson Harty-Olsen, Jaxon DeHaan and Nick Pellicotte each had hits. Kinzer allowed five hits, four earned runs, four walks and struck out three batters in his three-inning start. 

Spearfish Post 164 13, Outlaw Baseball Club (Mont.) 3 (6 innings)

SPEARFISH — Spearfish Post 164 picked up a 10-run Legion baseball win over Outlaw Baseball Club on Monday. 

Alec Sundsted led Spearfish with two hits and two RBI. Braden Ericks, Ty Sieber, Kaidon Feyereisen, Brady Hartwig and Carter Lyon each added hits. Hogan Tystad allowed four hits, two earned runs, struck out two batters and walked three batters in his four-inning start. 

Volga 4, Garretson 3

DELL RAPIDS — Volga held off Garretson for a Region 2B Legion baseball win on Monday.

Damian Danzeisen led Volga on the mound, finishing with five strikeouts and allowing three runs on six hits in six innings.

Jace Christensen, Jack Opitz, Boden Schiller, and Dylen Milton each tallied one hit for Volga. Schiller led with two RBI, while Jake Ziegler and Carson Christopherson each had one RBI.

Colby Buseman led Garretson on the hill, allowing four runs on three hits in 5 ⅔ innings, while finishing with 11 strikeouts.

Ryan Flanagan led Garretson with two hits in four at bats, while Buseman and Jayse Miller each had one RBI.
