ONIDA — Onida Post 79 edged Mobridge Post 4 in a Legion baseball game on Thursday.

Caleb Chicoine took the win for Onida Post 79, allowing one run on two hits in three innings, while striking out five.

Landon Hepker led Onida Post 79 with four hits, while Marshall Wittler added two hits and one RBI.

Holden Eisemann took the loss for Mobridge Post 4, allowing seven runs on ten hits, while striking out six in six innings.

Collin Tisdall led Mobridge Post 4 with three hits in four at bats and two RBI, while Gavin Farlee added two hits.


Garretson 9, Colton Post 206 5

COLTON — Garretson picked up a Legion baseball win over Colton Post 206 on Thursday.

Colby Buseman took the win for Garretson, allowing zero runs on one hit in 4 ⅓ innings, while striking out 11.

Garretson tallied 13 hits, with Cole Koch leading with three hits in four at bats. Buseman, Taysen Swatek, Dylan Kindt, and Ryan Flanagan each added two hits. Buseman drove in three runs, while Carson Clark drove in two runs.

Noah Haynes took the loss for Post 206, allowing three runs on two hits, while striking out one and walking one in one inning. Kaden Egger started the game for Post 206, allowing six runs on 11 hits and striking out three in nine innings.

Cole Fokken led Post 206 with three hits in five at bats, while Riley Carlson added two hits. Nathan Madison drove in two runs.


Dell Rapids Post 65 14, Post 70 Flandreau 5

FLANDREAU — Dell Rapids Post 65 raced past Post 70 Flandreau for a Legion baseball win on Thursday.

Joe Rectenbaugh earned the win on the mound for Post 65, allowing two hits and five runs in 5 ⅔ innings, while striking out seven.

Jack Henry led Post 65 with four hits in five at bats, while C.J. Smith had three hits. Drake Eastman and Treyse Eastman each added two hits. Smith and Treyse Eastman each drove in three runs.

Sam Gassman took the loss for Post 70 Flandreau, allowing five hits and five runs in three innings.

Tanner Christenson, Ethan Hoffman, and Tristan Peters each had one hit to lead Post 70 Flandreau.
