Winner/Colome 5, Alexandria 4 (10 innings)

WINNER — Zach Harter’s 10th inning walk-off single lifted Winner/Colome past Alexandria for a Sunshine League amateur baseball win Sunday. Reed Harter’s two-run homer in the ninth evened the score at 4-4. 

Ethan Davis hit a two-out RBI single in the ninth inning, pushing Alexandria’s lead to 4-2 before Winner/Colome staged its rally. 

Drew DeMers and Chandler Bakley had two hits apiece for Winner/Colome. Derek Graesser, Austin Richey, Dillon Lambley, Austin Calhoon and Trevor Salmonson each had hits. Graesser earned the win after striking out nine batters, allowing 10 hits, three earned runs and three strikes on 139 pitches.

For Alexandria, Jordan Gau had two hits and an RBI. Tucker Kingsbury also had two hits. Tyson Gau, Peyton Smith, Jerrod Zens, Reid Smith and Jacob Giles each had hits. Tyson Gau struck out four batters, walked seven, allowed five earned runs and 11 hits in the loss. 


Dimock-Emery 6, Parkston Mudcats 1

EMERY — Phil Johnson struck out seven batters and Sam Pischke drove in three runs to power Dimock-Emery to a Sunshine League amateur baseball win Sunday.

Johnson allowed seven hits, one run (unearned) and issued zero walks in the complete-game performance on 102 pitches. Pischke finished 2 of 4 and blasted a three-run homer in the eighth inning. 

Jason Schmidt added two hits and drove in two runs. Drew Kitchens and Josh Engquist each had hits. 

For the Mudcats, Nate Doering and Billy Hamilton had two hits apiece. Jeff Harris, Luke Bormann and Ryan McGinnis each had hits. Doering took the loss after allowing four hits, two earned runs, four walks and struck out five batters in his seven-inning start.


Clark 18, Ramona 4 (7 innings)

RAMONA — Eight different players accounted for 13 hits as Clark defeated Ramona in amateur baseball action Sunday.

David Novak and Nathan Sanderson recorded three hits apiece, with Novak driving in two runs. Rhett Florey finished with two hits and three RBI. Grayson Florey, Brent Griffith, Andrew Magadanz, Zach Winter and Hudson Fuller each had hits. Jeffrey Paulson earned the win after eight strikeouts, seven hits, four earned runs and five walks in his 5.1-inning start.

For Ramona, Taylor Bult finished with three hits and one RBI. Connor Libis, Tyler Bickett, Jeremiah Hoekman, Ryan Schlisner and Logan DeRungs each had hits. Aidan Schneider took the loss after allowing five hits, seven runs (four earned), six walks and one strikeout in his four-inning start.


Colome 9, Chamberlain 8

COLOME — Dave Baker’s RBI single in the 8th inning lifted Colome past Chamberlain for a Pony Hills League amateur baseball win Sunday. 

Christian Schweigert posted three hits, while Carter Brickman, Shea Connot and Joey Cole had two hits apiece. Brickman earned the win after allowing 12 hits, eight runs (two earned), one walk and struck out four batters in the complete-game performance.

For Chamberlain, Riggs Priebe had three hits and an RBI. Dakota Munger had two hits and two RBI. Adam Schroeder added two hits. Mike Schwartz, Chris Schwartz and Jayle Uthe each had hits. Schroeder took the loss after allowing 13 hits, eight earned runs, two walks and struck out nine batters in eight innings.
