DELL RAPIDS — Yankton Post 12 scored five runs in the final two innings to edge Dell Rapids Post 65 in a Legion baseball win on Sunday.

Matthew Sheldon picked up the win for Post 12, allowing five hits and three runs in 3 ⅔ innings, while striking out one. Connor Teichrow started the game for Post 12, giving up two runs on two hits in three innings, while striking out one.

Mac Ryken and Lucas Kampshoff had three apiece to lead Post 12, while Drew Ryken, Landon Loecker, and Cody Oswald each tallied two hits. Oswald also drove in two runs.

Landon Ruesink took the loss for Post 65, allowing six runs on 12 hits and striking out four in 6 ⅓ innings.

Will Jaton, Dylan Mathis, Aiden Boechler, and Jack Henry each recorded two hits for Post 65.

Yankton Post 12 14, Tabor Post 183 2

TABOR — Yankton Post 12 scored eight runs in the second inning to pull away from Tabor Post 183 in a Legion baseball game on Sunday.

Mac Ryken earned the win for Post 12, pitching five innings and allowing seven hits and two runs, while striking out one and walking one.

Yankton Post 12 tallied 15 hits, with Rugby Ryken, Joe Gokie, and Drew Ryken recording three hits each, while Lucas Kampshoff and Cody Oswald each had two hits. Gokie led with four RBI’s, while Kampshoff added three RBI’s. Drew Ryken had two RBI’s.

Nolan Dvorak took the loss for Post 183, allowing six runs on four hits in 1 ⅓ innings.

Tabor Post 183 had seven hits, including two each from Nolan Dvorak and Dustin Honomichl.

Tabor Post 183 10, Brandon Valley Post 131 9

YANKTON — Tabor Post 183 outlasted Brandon Valley Post 131 in a Legion baseball game on Sunday.

Nolan Dvorak picked up the win for Post 183, allowing two hits and one run in 2 ⅓ innings, while striking out two.

Dvorak led Post 183 with three hits in four at bats, while Nolan Carda and Carter Uecker each added two hits. Uecker also drove in three runs.

Nick Lohr took the loss for Post 131, pitching ⅔ of an inning and allowing one run on zero hits, while striking out one. Daniel Butyen started the game for Post 131, allowing four hits and five runs, while striking out one in 1 ⅔ innings. 

Brandon Valley Post 131 had 12 hits, with Lohr and Nate Meyers tallying three hits each. Austin Reiter and Ayden Spicer each had two hits. Reiter, Meyers, and Tayton Stroh each drove in two runs. Stroh also had one home run, while Reiter had three stolen bases.

Winner/Colome 3, Mount Vernon/Plankinton/Corsica-Stickney Padres 1

CORSICA — Winner/Colome scored three runs in the third inning to earn a Legion baseball win over the Mount Vernon/Plankinton/Corsica/Stickney Padres on Sunday.

Ethan Bartels picked up the win for Winner/Colome, allowing one run on three hits and striking out five in 5 ⅔ innings.

Winner/Colome had seven hits, including two hits apiece from Ashton Klein and Joey Cole.

Brendan Wentland took the loss for the Padres, allowing seven hits and three runs in seven innings, while striking out 12. 

Drew Gerlach led the Padres with three hits in three at bats.
