Pierre Post 8 14, Mitchell Post 18 11

MITCHELL — Pierre Post 8 outlasted Mitchell Post 18 for a Legion baseball win on Wednesday.

Isaac Polak picked up the win for Pierre Post 8, allowing two runs on two hits and striking out one in two innings.

Pierre Post 8 racked up 14 hits, including Brecken Krueger leading the way with three hits in four at bats. Lincoln Kienholz, Matthew Hanson, and Bennett Dean each added two hits. Krueger, Dean, Jett Zabel, Jayden Wiebe, and George Stalley each drove in two runs. 

Jonah Schmidt took the loss for Mitchell Post 18, allowing nine hits and nine runs in five innings, while striking out three.

Jake Helleloid, Dylan Soulek, Seth Muth, and Brock Sparks had two hits apiece for Mitchell Post 18. Helleloid also drove in three runs.

MITCHELL — Mitchell Post 18 built an early lead and held off Pierre Post 8 for a Legion baseball win on Wednesday.

Dylan Soulek took the win for Mitchell Post 18, allowing three hits and three runs, while striking out six in five innings.

Lukas Bennett, Brock Sparks, Jonah Schmidt, and Seth Muth had two hits apiece for Mitchell Post 18. Schmidt had three RBI, while Muth and Jake Helleloid each had two RBI.

Jackson Edman took the loss for Pierre Post 8, giving up five runs on five hits in 1 â…“ innings, while striking out two.

Brecken Krueger, Lincoln Kienholz, Jack Merkwan, and Bennett Dean each had one hit for Pierre Post 8. Kienholz also had one home run, while Dean drove in two runs.


Spearfish Post 164 6, Sioux Falls Post 15 East 5

CHAMBERLAIN — Spearfish Post 164 scored six runs in the fourth inning to rally past Sioux Falls Post 15 East in a Legion baseball game on Wednesday.

Cody Chapman picked up the win for Spearfish Post 164, giving up zero runs on one hit in 2 â…” innings, while striking out one Hogan Tystad started the game for Spearfish Post 164, allowing five runs on five hits and striking out five in 4 â…” innings.

Braden Ericks and Ty Sieber each had three hits and one RBI to lead Spearfish Post 164. Connor Comer, Carter Lyon, and Aiden Haught also drove in one run apiece.

Lincoln Vasgaard took the loss for Sioux Falls Post 15 East, giving up six runs on seven hits and striking out four in 3 â…” innings.

Myles Rees led Post 15 East with two hits in three at bats, while Mason Tolrud drove in two runs.


Sioux Falls Post 15 West 11, Spearfish Post 164 0

CHAMBERLAIN — Sioux Falls Post 15 West raced past Spearfish Post 164 for a Legion baseball win on Wednesday.

Jake Klopstad led Sioux Falls Post 15 West on the mound, allowing two hits and zero runs in seven innings, while striking out eight.

Brayden Byrum, Jordyn Kinzer, Treyson Harty-Olsen, and Isaac Adam each tallied two hits to lead Post 15 West, while Adam drove in two runs.

Alec Sundsted took the loss for Spearfish Post 164, pitching five innings and allowing six runs on six hits, while striking out five.

Ty Sieber and Kaidon Feyereisen each had one hit for Spearfish Post 164.


Sioux Falls Post 15 East 15, Sturgis Post 33 Titans 13

CHAMBERLAIN — Sioux Falls Post 15 East held off the Sturgis Post 33 Titans in a Legion baseball game on Wednesday.

Jack Nesje took the win for Post 15 East, allowing nine runs on ten hits and striking out three in four innings.

Jack Smith led Post 15 East with four hits in five at bats, while Lincoln Vasgaard, Myles Rees, and Dylan Rippentrop each tallied two hits. Smith and Tate Schafer each drove in three runs, while Andrew Glovich drove in two runs.

Aidan Wood took the loss for the Sturgis Post 33 Titans, allowing eight hits and nine runs in 3 â…” innings. Conner Cruickshank started the game for the Sturgis Post 33 Titans, allowing seven hits and six runs in two innings, while striking out two and walking one.

Ridge Inhofer and David Anderson led the Sturgis Post 33 Titans with three hits each, while Beau Peters, Owen Cass, and Dustin Alan added two hits apiece. Inhofer drove in three runs while Evan Stroud and R.J. Andrzejewski drove in two runs each.

BROOKINGS — The Post 74 Bandits scored four runs in the seventh inning to rally past Huron Post 7 in a Legion baseball game on Wednesday.

Josh Devine took the win for the Post 74 Bandits, giving up five runs on nine hits in seven innings, while striking out five.

Lincoln Hardin, Parker Winghart, and Sam Hardin each tallied two hits to lead the Post 74 Bandits. Winghart and Sam Hardin each drove in two runs, while Justin Cofell and Lincoln Hardin each drove in one run.

Dawsyn Rogers took the loss for Huron Post 7, allowing zero hits and two runs in â…“ of an inning, while striking out one. Johnny Hernandez started the game for Post 7, allowing six hits and two runs in 5 â…“ innings, while striking out six.

Hernandez, Max Kranzler, and Peyton Grace each recorded two hits to lead Huron Post 7. Kranzler, Hernandez, and Rogers each drove in one run.

The Post 74 Bandits also won Game 2 by a score of 6-0.


Renner Royals Post 307 9, Watertown Post 17 0

SIOUX FALLS — Renner Royals Post 307 shutout Watertown Post 17 in a Legion baseball game on Wednesday.

Emanuel Struck took the victory for the Royals, lasting seven innings and allowing zero runs on three hits, while striking out four.

Carter Peterson, Preston Konechne, and Kyle Konechne each recorded two hits to lead the Royals. Preston Konechne had three RBI, while Mav Jarding added two RBI.

Jackson Maag took the loss for Post 17, allowing six runs on seven hits and striking out three in 4 â…“ innings.

Ben Althoff led Post 17 with two hits in three at bats.

Renner Royals Post 307 also won Game 2, 5-4.


Post 1 15, Post 174 2

VERMILLION — Post 1 scored nine runs in the first inning to race past Post 174 for a Legion baseball win on Wednesday.

Ben Burbach picked up the victory for Post 1, giving up two runs on three hits in four innings, while striking out five.

Post 1 collected 13 hits as a team. Charlie Ward led Post 1 with three hits, while Connor Saunders and Jake Jensen had two hits apiece. Ward and Jensen each had three RBI.

Brandon Otte took the loss for Post 174, allowing six hits and nine runs.

Brandon Fodness led Post 174 with two hits and one RBI.


Salem 11, Menno/Scotland Post 152 Trappers 1

MENNO — Salem cruised past the Menno/Scotland Post 152 Trappers for a Legion baseball win on Wednesday.

Braeden Kerkhove earned the win for Salem, allowing three hits and one run in five innings, while striking out five.

Trey Claussen led Salem with three hits in four at bats, while Joe Loudenburg and Kyle Schoon recorded two hits apiece. Loudenburg, Raygen Randall, and Avery Feterl each drove in two runs.

Jacob Schott took the loss for the Trappers, giving up five runs on eight hits in 5 â…“ innings, while striking out three and walking one.

Brayden Sattler led the Trappers with two hits in three at bats.

Bennett Sebert led Humboldt 118/Hartford 62 with two hits in three at bats. Loren Jacobson had two RBI and Adam Parsons had one RBI.

MADISON — Volga held off Madison Post 25 for a Legion baseball win on Wednesday.

Boden Schiller picked up the victory for Volga, allowing four runs on two hits and striking out six in 2 â…“ innings.

Damian Danzeisen led Volga with two hits in four at bats, while Kyler Bezdichek drove in three runs.

Nathan Ricke took the loss for Madison Post 25, giving up eight runs on three hits in 2 â…“ innings, while striking out four.

Jared Kennington led Post 25 with two hits. Kennington, Trey Smith, and Mason Kennington had two RBI apiece.

VALENTINE, Neb. — Valentine, Neb. held off Winner/Colome for a Legion baseball win on Wednesday.
