Alexandria Legion 12, Menno/Scotland Legion 8

ALEXANDRIA — Alexandria held off Menno/Scotland Legion for a Legion baseball win on Friday.

Jayden Kayser earned the win for Alexandria, pitching four innings and allowing seven runs on four hits and striking out eight. Hunter Robinson and Keenan Waldera each tallied three hits in four at bats, while Bodie Burnham added two hits. Kade Waldera added three RBI’s.

Treyton Sayler took the loss for Menno/Scotland, giving up eight runs on seven hits in 3 â…“ innings and striking out five. Brayden Sattler and Tyrus Bietz each had two hits, while Sattler added three RBI’s.

Yankton Post 12 14, Baltic Post 175 0

YANKTON — Eleven runs in the first inning powered Yankton Post 12 past Baltic Post 175 in a Legion baseball game on Friday.

Landon Loecker earned the win for Yankton Post 12, allowing two hits and zero runs in four innings, while striking out seven. Post 12 tallied 11 hits, including three apiece from Lucas Kampshoff and Joe Gokie. Gokie also had three RBI’s, while Kampshoff and Luke Bernatow each had two RBI’s.

Hunter Larson took the loss for Baltic Post 175, allowing eight hits and 11 runs in one inning. Andrew VanDam and Tayden Hansen each had one hit for Post 175.

Douglas Cats 8, Rapid City Post 315 7

SPEARFISH — The Douglas Cats held off Rapid City Post 315 for a Legion baseball win on Friday.

Carson Selk picked up the win for the Douglas Cats, allowing three hits and four runs in five innings, while striking out eight. Selk, Marcus Mongiello, Jacob Russell, and Alex Virtue each tallied two hits in four at bats.

Rapid City Post 315’s Connor Adams allowed eight hits and five runs in 6 â…“ innings, while striking out five and walking one. Riley Palmer led Post 315 with three hits in four at bats. Palmer also had three RBI’s.

Mitchell Post 18 3, Hike Real Estate 0

RAPID CITY — Mitchell Post 18 earned a Legion baseball win over Hike Real Estate at the Veterans Classic on Friday.

Landon Waddell picked up the win for Post 18, giving up zero runs on two hits in seven innings, while striking out five and walking one. Jonah Schmidt and Peyton Mandel each tallied two hits to lead Post 18.

Mason Chandler took the loss for Hike Real Estate, pitching six innings and allowing three runs on eight hits, while striking out three.

Post 911 Chargers 14, Colton 4

SIOUX FALLS — The Post 911 Chargers raced past Colton for a Legion baseball win on Friday.

Caden Reitz took the win for the Post 911 Chargers, giving up four runs on six hits in five innings and striking out six. Reitz also led the Chargers with two hits in four at bats and three RBI’s. Jake Isakson and Redd Lubben each had two RBI’s. Harris Adamson had two stolen bases. 

The Post 911 Chargers also won game 2, 10-1.
