Freeman Black Sox 3, Wynot Expos 0

FREEMAN — The Freeman Black Sox picked up a South Central League win over the Wynot Expos in an amateur baseball game on Tuesday.

Blake Schroedermeier took the win for the Black Sox, giving up zero runs on zero hits in seven innings, while striking out 12. 

Bailey Sage led the Black Sox with two hits in three at bats.

Landon Wieseler took the loss for the Expos, giving up three runs on six hits in 4 â…“ innings, while striking out four.

Madison Broncos 6, Canova Gang 1

CANOVA — The Madison Broncos picked up a Cornbelt League win over the Canova Gang in an amateur baseball game on Tuesday.

Tyler Tappe was the winning pitcher for the Broncos, pitching nine innings and allowing one run on six hits and striking out ten.

Doug Iverson, Matt Burpey, and Heath Williams each totaled two hits for the Broncos. Iverson drove in two runs, while Josh Giles drove in three runs.

Cole Gassman took the loss for the Gang, giving up three runs on one hit in three innings, while striking out three.

Gassman, Justin Miller, Garrett Gassman, Kendall Gassman, Riley Genzlinger, and Jack Niese each tallied one hit for the Gang.
