BURKE — Mitchell Christian’s Sawyer Holdeman and Kimball/White Lake’s Alli McCord captured individual titles at Thursday’s Cougar Invitational. 

Holdeman covered the 5,000-meter distance at the Burke Golf Course in 18 minutes and :00.46 seconds, clipping teammates Luke Mentele (18:00.63) and Silas Holdeman (18:00.74). KWL’s Darron Moeller (18:17.25) and Avon’s Cale Cooper (18:31.81) rounded out the top-five finishes. 

McCord won the girls race in 20:35.79, finishing ahead of teammates Lily Baker (20:56.10) and Autumn Baker (21:09.28). Scotland’s Elle Hlavac (21:25.82) and Bon Homme’s Claire Guthmiller rounded out the top-five finishers. 

The Mitchell Christian boys won the team title with nine points, well ahead of Freeman (37) and Kimball/White Lake (59). The KWL girls won the team title with nine points, ahead of Platte-Geddes (43) and Mitchell Christian (53).
