On Thursday night Donnie LeBeau Jr. and spouse Bessie will ponder the age old question of how to be in two places at the same time?

The LeBeau’s have one daughter, Angelica, who plays for Crow Creek and another, Jewelia, who plays for Red Cloud.

A year ago during the COVID-19 Pandemic, and with no basketball at Red Cloud, Angelica ventured to Florida to play with Crow Creek players Rozee and Audrey Drapeau who had family down south. For her senior year she decided to stick with the twins and play her final season as a member of the Lady Chieftains.

After a slow start Crow Creek won 14 of its last 15 games. The 17-5 Crow Creek girls are the No. 15 seed for Thursday’s So Dak 16 and travel to Madison where they face No. 2 seed West Central.

Jewellia LeBeau is a junior on a Red Cloud squad that enters its So-Dak 16 game with a 19-2 record. Red Cloud is the No. 8 seed and plays No. 9 Florence/Henry at Stanley County High School in Ft. Pierre.

Jewelia LeBeau is a junior on the Red Cloud basketball team.

Always a tough decision as to which daughter to see play the LeBeau’s say they will be traveling to Madison as their oldest daughter is a senior.

Note: Crow Creek has advanced to the So Dak 16 every year (except for 2021 when the school had no basketball) since the inception of the format.
