Lyman’s Brooke Montgomery captures two sprint titles at Miller Invite

MILLER — Lyman’s Brooke Montgomery won two sprints at Tuesday’s Miller Invitational.

Montgomery took the top spot in both the 100-meter (:12.52) and 200-meter (:26.72) races.

On the girls’ side, Wolsey-Wessington’s Kendal Uttecht secured the 400-meter dash (1:01.43).

Gettysburg’s Emma Schlachter took the 800-meter race (2:31.13) while teammate Jaycee Stevens won the 3,200-meter run (13:30.74).

James Valley Christian’s Hadasah Olson won the 1,600-meter run (5:46.08).

Hoven’s Dannika Kaup won the 100-meter hurdles (:16.25) and 300-meter hurdles (:49.93).

W-W’s Danika Peterson, Eastlyn Burton, Shae Uttecht and Abby Huntsinger won the 400-meter relay (:54.30).

Sunshine Bible Academy’s Dakota Boersma, Soleil Mickelson, Ciera Mickelson and Tessa Hinman won the 800-meter relay (1:53.38) while Hinman, Ciera Mickelson, Boersma and Daraby Boersma won the 1,600-meter relay (4:20.37).

Faulkton Area’s Rhyann Roseland, Blake Bowman, Anna Martinmaas and Lola McCamly won the 3,200-meter relay (11:59.40).

Redfield’s Addyson Rice, Ellie Rhodes, Saige Jungwirth and Katryn Evans took the 1,600-meter sprint medley relay (4:59.25).

In field events, Miller’s Bryleigh Resel won the shot put event (30-08.00) 

FA’s Anika Mueller won the discus event (110-10).

SBA’s Ciera Mickelson won the high jump event (5-00).

Miller’s Paige Werdel took the javelin title (88-11) and long jump event (15-04.00).

FA’s Brooklyn Mueller won the triple jump event (30-11.00).

In the boys’ meet, Lyman’s Conor Samco won the 100-meter dash (:11.58) and 200-meter dash (:23.98).

Faulkton Area’s Cole Noon secured the 400-meter race (:54.62).

James Valley Christian’s Kaden Ober took the 800-meter run (2:11.91) and 1,600-meter run (4:47.15).

FA’s Korbin Stark took the 3,200-meter run (10:48.49).

Miller’s Isaak Hunter won the 110-meter hurdles (:15.47) while FA’s Spencer Melius took the 300-meter hurdles (:42.47).

Redfield’s Nicholas Becker, Micah Zastrow, Payton Moore and Eloi Carnicero won the 400-meter relay (:46.47).

Stanley County’s Paxton Deal, Landon Bame, Brendon Bothwell and Eddie Duffy won the 800-meter relay (1:37.43).

Sunshine Bible Academy’s Carter Crump, Josiah Stiegelmeier, Tarrence Mickelson and Reagan Sandess won the 1,600-meter relay (3:49.77). Crump, Avery Hall, Josh Wilken and Toby Mickelson secured the 3,200-meter relay (9:35.15) as well.

Wolsey-Wessington’s Breydyn Skipper, Rio Zaher, Cooper Timm and Wyatt Koester took the 1,600-meter sprint medley relay (4:02.14).

In the field events, SC’s Trevor Caldwell won the shot put title (41-11.75).

FA’s Weston Senn took first-place in the discus event (131-01) while Melius secured the javelin title (169-01).

WW’s Josiah Malone won the high jump event (5-10) and long jump (19-04.00).

SBA’s Tarrence Mickelson secured the triple jump title (37-03).
