Maddyn Greenway, who is the daughter of former Mount Vernon star Chad Greenway, has made her college basketball decision.

The Providence Academy (Minn.) girls basketball standout tweeted her intentions to play college basketball at the University of Kentucky on Nov. 16.

Greenway’s other finalists were Stanford, UCLA, Iowa, Duke and Clemson. Greenway fielded a host of other Division I scholarship offers. Both of her parents were star athletes at Iowa, and her father, Chad, later played linebacker for the Minnesota Vikings.

A 5-foot-8 junior point guard, Greenway has more than 3,000 career points. She averaged 34.3 points, 8.9 rebounds, 7.5 assists and 4.5 steals per game last season.

Greenway is a five-star prospect, according to 247Sports Composite. In addition to being the top-ranked recruit in Minnesota's 2026 class, Greenway is also the No. 3-ranked point guard nationally and is the No. 18-ranked recruit overall in the country's 2026 recruiting class.
