Mahpiya Luta leads all-Black Hills Conference girls basketball selections

Mahpiya Luta landed six total players on this year’s all-Black Hills Conference girls basketball team. The Crusaders were the conference champs with a 9-0 record. 

The Crusaders were represented by all-conference selections Ashlan Blount, Jodene Hunter, Kennedy Fridia and Taleah Lunderman. Mya Mills and Dorthy Mesteth were honorable mention selections. 

Spearfish was represented on the all-conference team by Jozie Dana, Maria Bouman and Kate Scharf. Mya Kochuten and Sofie Guthmiller were honorable mention honorees. 

Rapid City Christian’s Hayden Thorton and Lydia Williams were all-conference selections. Sadie Marshall and Nora Kieffer were honorable mention picks. 

St. Thomas More’s Sloane Keszler and Rachael Hyde were all-conference members. Megan Lee and Enna Henry were honorable mention selections. 

Hill City’s Maggie Taylor and Lillie Ross were all-conference picks. Alaina Dean and Anna Dean were honorable mention honorees. 

Belle Fourche’s Mataya Ward and Sloan Young were all-conference selections. Lily Nore and Reese Larson were honorable mention selections. 

Custer’s Kylee Ellerton was an all-conference selection, while Jordyn Larsen and Maya Tennyson were honorable mention honorees. 

Sturgis’ Tori Williams was an all-conference pick and teammate Avreigh Long was an honorable mention pick. 

Douglas’ Chloe Shreve was an all-conference honoree, while Bailey Clark and Colee Kruse were honorable mention picks. 

Hot Springs’ Maggie Preus was an all-conference selection and Ashlynn Elshere was an honorable mention honoree.
