St. Thomas More 64, Belle Fourche 29

RAPID CITY — St. Thomas More cruised to a Region 8A boys basketball win over Belle Fourche on Tuesday. St. Thomas More will play Hill City on March 7 in a SoDak 16 qualifying contest. 

STM’s Ashton Paulsen finished with 17 points and Wyatt Gylten had 11 points. Broeden Sales scored 10 points and Max Speed added nine points. Baron Slusarski scored eight points. 

For Belle Fourche, Sern Weishaar recorded eight points and Gavin Pearson scored six points. Jet Jensen and Tatum Martin scored five points apiece. 


Ipswich 63, Tiospaye Topa 29

IPSWICH — Three players scored in double figures as Ipswich cruised to a Region 6B win over Tiospaye Topa. Ipswich will play Wakpala on March 7 in a SoDak 16 qualifying contest. 

Kyle Hettich led Ipswich with 15 points and four rebounds while Max Kulesa scored 14 points, grabbed seven rebounds and dished out four assists. Jaxon Holt finished with 13 points and Tucker Kadlec had eight points and 11 rebounds. 

Jakolby Rosseau paced Tiospaye Topa with 14 points, four rebounds and a steal. 


Sully Buttes 65, North Central 34

ONIDA — Wesley Wittler and Gavin Colson powered Sully Buttes to a Region 6B boys basketball win on Tuesday. Sully Buttes will play Potter County on March 7 in a SoDak 16 qualifying contest. 

Wittler recorded 32 points and 15 rebounds. Colson added 11 points.

North Central stats were not reported. 


Wakpala 59, Highmore-Harrold 53

WAKPALA — Wakpala outlasted Highmore-Harrold in Region 6B boys basketball action on Tuesday. Wakpala will play Ipswich in a SoDak 16 qualifying contest.

Wakpala’s Lane Cadotte tossed in 23 points and hit four 3-pointers. Bretten Wells and Tavaughn Steele finished with 14 points apiece.  

For Highmore-Harrold, Miles McPeak scored 18 points and Caleb Roth had 12 points. Aidan Ferens scored nine points and Brooks McPeak had eight points. Jordan Erfman scored six points.
