Dakota Valley 84, Beresford 77

NORTH SIOUX CITY — Logan Collette scored 40 points in Dakota Valley’s Region 4A tournament victory over Beresford Thursday.

Collette tallied 40 points, five rebounds, four assists and three steals, Luke Bruns added 23 points, six rebounds and five assists while Aaron Bruns netted eight points in the win.

Beresford’s Malachi James had a team-high 30 points while Aiden Hamm had 21 points in the loss.


Vermillion 54, Elk Point-Jefferson 44

VERMILLION — Trey Hansen scored 23 points as Vermillion defeated Elk Point-Jefferson in Region 4A action Thursday.

Hansen tallied 23 points, nine rebounds and four assists, Luke Jensen recorded 12 points while Carter Hansen added eight points in the win.

EPJ’s Chase Swanson had 23 points, Nick Schmitz added six points, while Grayson Girard collected five points in the loss.


Bridgewater-Emery 65, Ethan 61

EMERY — Holden Wollmann and Ben Weber powered Bridgewater-Emery to a Region 3B boys basketball win on Thursday.

Wollmann finished with 31 points, while Ben Weber tallied 20 points, 14 rebounds, nine assists, four blocked shots and three steals. Macklen Weber had six rebounds.

For Ethan, Jack Bartscher had 14 points and Davin Hohn added 12 points. Jaxx Kurtenbach scored 10 points and Braedon Nebelsick had six rebounds. 


Howard 62, Chester 48

HOWARD — Carson Hinker collected 23 points in Howard’s Region 3B victory over Chester Thursday.

Hinker finished with 23 points, Luke Koepsell had 15 points, Austin Severson tallied 14 points while Lucas Feldhaus netted eight points in the win.

Chester’s JD Prorok led with 13 points, Layke Wold tallied 12 points, Will Seeley had 11 points while Jaxton Opdahl tallied nine points in the loss.


McCook Central-Montrose 62, Parker 52

SALEM — Five players reached double figures as McCook Central-Montrose knocked off Parker in Region 5A action Thursday.

Lane Deutsch tallied 18 points, Ben Wiebersick had 11 points, five rebounds and three steals, Mason Sabers totaled 11 points, four assists and two assists while Jackson Schmidt collected 10 points and seven rebounds in the win.

For Parker, Landon Wieman had 18 points and 13 rebounds, Tanner Peterson tallied 14 points, four steals and four assists, while Myles Meyer added 10 points and three rebounds in the loss.
