Rapid City Stevens 9, Sioux Falls Roosevelt 1

ABERDEEN — Kara Collins pitched seven strong innings at Rapid City Stevens upended Sioux Falls Roosevelt in girls softball action Friday. 

Collins went seven innings, giving up seven hits and just one run. Sayde Hunt scored one run, had three hits and drove in a run. Bailey Kokesh drove in two runs on one hit while also scoring a run. 

Carley Feisheim drove in Roosevelt’s only run with one hit. Raelyn Seiler pounded out two hits and Kylie Reisenweber scored a run, drew a walk and had a hit for Roosevelt. 


Rapid City Stevens 12, Aberdeen Central 0

ABERDEEN — The red hot Rapid City Stevens bats pounded out 17 hits on their way to a win over Aberdeen Central in girls softball action Friday. 

Chloe Ohlsen scored two runs for Stevens with three hits and an RBI. Joslyn Johnson drove in three runs on two hits while also scoring a run. Emma Dressler picked up the win going two innings and giving up just one hit. 

Ayrlie Waldo had the only hit for Aberdeen Central while Kaylee Kiesow drew two walks on the evening. 


Beresford 21, Canton 11

CANTON — The Beresford bats came alive with 19 hits as the Watchdogs upended Canton in girls softball action Thursday. 

Halle Livingston led the way at the plate scoring two runs, having two hits and driving in five runs. Reese Olson scored two runs with one hit and three RBI while Tavyn Valder scored two runs with two hits and three runs driven in. Brynlee Mohning got the win going five innings, giving up five hits and eight runs.  

Kendal Middlen led Canton, scoring one run with three hits while driving in two runs. Gracie Williams scored a run, had a hit and drove in two runs. 


Deuel 9, Colman-Egan 7

CLEAR LAKE — After trailing by as many as five runs Deuel rallied to pick up a win over Colman-Egan in girls softball action. 

Rylynn Streich scored a run with two hits and two RBI. Eden Schiernbeck scored two runs with one hit while driving in two runs. Katrina Hagberg went the distance pitching seven innings while giving up seven hits and seven runs. 

Maebe Groos led Colman-Egan scoring two runs on two hits while driving in four runs. Kinley Geigle scored two runs and Savanna Schmidt had two hits and drove in a run. Harper Mousel went six innings giving up ten hits and nine runs. 


West Central 12, Sioux Falls Christian 0

SIOUX FALLS — A big night at the plate for Izzy Parsons helped West Central to a win over Sioux Falls Christian in girls basketball action Friday.

Parsons had three hits, two of them doubles while driving in one run. Kathryne Hoff scored a run, had a hit and drove in three runs. E. Miller picked up the win going five innings and giving up just one hit. 

Maci Connell had the only hit for Sioux Falls Christian. Emmersyn Spader and Taylor Dittman each drew walks for the Chargers.
