Rapid City Christian 17, Custer 0 (3 innings)

CUSTER — Rapid City Christian pounded out 16 hits as the Comets rolled over Custer in the first game of a high school baseball doubleheader Monday.

Sam Tordsen led the Comets with three hits and four RBIs, Turner Tonkel added three hits, including a triple, and three RBIs, Jackson Winter collected two RBIs on two hits, including a homer, Patrick Pfannenstein tallied two hits and an RBI, Vander Von Eye tallied two hits and a walk, Joe Pfannenstein, Joe Samuelson, Owen Travnicek each drove in a run on one hit, while Will Thompson drove in a run in the win.

Von Eye tossed two shutout innings in the win, allowing one walk while striking out five.

For Custer, Jackson Trant allowed 10 runs on 13 hits and a walk in 1.1 innings.


Rapid City Christian 24, Custer 6 (4 innings)

CUSTER — Rapid City Christian pounded out 18 hits as the Comets cruised to a doubleheader sweep over Custer in high school baseball action Monday.

Max Carchesio led the Comets with three RBIs on two hits and a walk, Garrett Mellendorf and Jackson Shepardson each had two RBIs on two hits, Patrick Pfannenstein tallied a two-RBI-double, Sam Tordsen, Owen Travnicek, Nathaniel Warnke, Jett Dreyer, and Will Thompson each drove in a run on one hit while Jackson Winter collected an RBI in the win.

Four different pitchers recorded an inning of work for RCC, allowing six runs on four hits and five walks, striking out seven.

For Custer, Jacob Polley allowed 13 runs on 12 hits and four walks in 3.2 innings, striking out two in the loss.

David Abrams had two hits and an RBI while Everet Penniston drove in a run in the loss.


West Central 8, Tri-Valley 3

COLTON — CJ Den Boer drove in three runs as West Central took down Tri-Valley in high school baseball action on Monday.

Den Boer batted 2-for-4 with a walk, double and a triple with three RBIs in the win, Gunnar Alfson added four hits, a double, walk and an RBI, Hayden Whiting added two hits while Beckett Everson and Eli Koehn each had an RBI on one hit in the win.

Alfson earned the win on the mound in three innings of work, allowing two runs on one hit and six walks, striking out four.

For TV, Reed Smith allowed five runs on seven hits and three walks in five innings, striking out four in the loss.

Cooper Durick had the lone hit of the game in the loss.


Winner/Colome 12, Chamberlain/Kimball/Lyman 5

CHAMBERLAIN — A seven-run seventh-inning separated Winner/Colome from Chamberlain/Kimball/Lyman in high school baseball action on Monday.

Camdyn Anderson led the Royals with four hits, a double, and two RBIs, Cooper Craven added two hits, a double, triple, and two RBIs, Masen Beehler had two hits and an RBI, Carter McKenzie recorded two hits, Adryan Brandis and Carter Foster each had an RBI on one hit while Zac Olson and Landon Calhoon each had an RBI in the win.

Foster took the win on the mound in three innings of work, allowing one hit and one walk, striking out two.

For CKL, Cannon Speer allowed five runs on seven hits and a walk in 4.1 innings, striking out six.

Johnny Lenz had two RBIs on one hit, Hunter Frederick and Kruse Brennan each had an RBI on one hit while Conway Collins totaled two hits and a walk in the loss.


Groton Area 6, Warner/Ipswich/Northwestern 2

GROTON — Gavin Englund tossed 6.2 strong innings as Groton Area defeated Warner/Ipswich/Northwestern in high school baseball action Monday.

Englund allowed two runs on five hits and three walks in 6.2 innings, striking out seven in the win.

Braeden Fliehs had two hits, a double, and an RBI, TC Schuster added two hits, Nick Groeblinghoff drove in a run while Karstens Fliehs hit a solo homer in the win.

For WIN, Braydon Kroll allowed six runs on five hits and four walks in five innings of work, striking out five.

Kroll and Brevyn Pitz each tallied an RBI on one hit while Quinn Huetl added two hits and a walk in the loss.


Colman-Egan/Flandreau 12, Garretson 8

FLANDREAU — Four different players drove in multiple runs apiece as Colman-Egan/Flandreau clipped Garretson in high school baseball action Monday.

Tyton Peters led CEF with four RBIs on two hits, one double, Tate Hammer batted 4-for-4 with two doubles, a triple, and two RBIs, Xavier Bien and Alex Poitra each had two RBIs on two hits and a walk, Trevor Peters added three hits and an RBI, Jaden Eng had two hits and a walk while Brody Johnson had an RBI on one hit in the win.

Johnson took the win on the mound in four innings of work, allowing six runs on four hits and five walks, striking out two.

For Garretson, Jack Adler allowed 10 runs on 13 hits and four walks in 2.1 innings in the loss.

Brecken Weir had four RBIs on two hits, a double, and a walk, Dan Hoskins drove in two runs on a double and a walk while Ty VanHolland added two hits, a double, walk and an RBI in the loss.


Parkston/Ethan 11, Wagner/Lake Andes/Avon 1 (5 innings)

PARKSTON — Mason Jervik tossed five strong innings as Parkston rolled past Wagner/Lake Andes/Avon in high school baseball action Monday.

Jervik allowed just one run on one hit and four walks in five innings of work, striking out four in the win.

Jervik, Wyatt Anderson and Landon Weber each drove in two runs on one hit, Jaxx Kurtenbach added two hits and an RBI while Trey Boettcher drove in a run on a hit and a walk in the win.

For W/LA/A, Colton Zephier allowed five runs on five hits and four walks in four innings of work, striking out four.

Dominic Doom had an RBI in the loss.


Redfield Area 11, Miller/Highmore-Harrold/Wolsey-Wessington/Wessington Springs/Faulkton Area 1

MILLER — Micah Zastrow and Noah Johnson each had three hits as Redfield Area rolled past Miller/Highmore-Harrold/Wolsey-Wessington/Wessington Springs/Faulkton Area in high school baseball action Monday.

Zastrow and Johnson each tallied three hits and an RBI in the win while Grady Hulscher added two RBIs on one hit in the win.

Hulscher earned the win on the mound for the Muskrats in six innings pitched, allowing one run on two hits and three walks, striking out seven.

For MHHWWWSFA, Jett Kleinsasser allowed five runs on three hits and eight walks in five innings pitched, striking out 12 in the loss.

Chase Hurd had an RBI-double in the loss.


Vermillion 8, Bon Homme 7

TYNDALL — Vermillion held off a late comeback attempt to beat Bon Homme in high school baseball action Monday.

Nolan Nygren took the win on the mound in six innings of work, allowing three runs on six hits and two walks, striking out eight.

Trey Hansen and Emerson Jarchow each had two RBIs on two hits, including a double and a homer by Hansen, Nygren and Cooper Reiser each had two hits, including two doubles by Reiser, while Grant Roerig drove in a run on one hit in the loss.

For BH, Isaiah Crownover took the loss, allowing five runs on nine hits in 3.2 innings, striking out five.

Cooper Mudder drove in two runs on two hits and a walk for the Cavs, Calvin Caba added an RBI on two hits, Madden Merkwan had two hits and a walk, Jax Sykora had an RBI-single while Owen Bures and Alex Adler each tallied an RBI in the loss.


Beresford Area 10, Tri-County 0 (5 innings)

BERESFORD — Evan Rosheim tossed five shutout innings as Beresford Area rolled past Tri-County in high school baseball action Monday.

Rosheim allowed five hits and two walks in five shutout innings, striking out two in the win.

John Savey and Rosheim each had two RBIs on a hit and a walk, Ashton Oberle drove in a run on a hit and a walk while Ian Henderson, Boston Jensen and Cameron Mullinix each had an RBI in the win.

For TC, Noah Hansen allowed nine runs on two hits and nine walks in 1.2 innings, striking out two.

Jeremiah Gustad and Carter Barron each had two hits in the loss.


Beresford Area 4, Tri-County 3

BERESFORD — A four-run sixth-inning powered Beresford Area over Tri-County in high school baseball action Monday.

Ashton Oberle tossed seven complete innings for BA, allowing three runs on seven hits and a walk, striking out 10 in the win.

Oberle drove in a run on a hit and a walk while Cameron Mullinix added an RBI in the win as well.

For TC, Kyson Mansfield allowed four runs on five hits and three walks in 5.2 innings, striking out eight in the loss.

Cayden Ganschow drove in two runs on two hits, one double, Caiden Wherry added an RBI while Carter Barron had three hits, including a triple, in the loss.


Lennox 4, Hanson/Bridgewater-Emery 0

ALEXANDRIA — Talen Eich and Sam Bambas gave up just one hit on the mound as Lennox shutout Hanson/Bridgewater-Emery in high school baseball action Monday.

Eich took the win on the mound in four shutout innings, allowing one walk while striking out three. Bambas added three shutout innings, allowing one hit while striking out four.

Eich drove in three runs on two hits and a walk in the win for the Orioles.

For H/BE, Layton Popp allowed three runs on four hits and a walk, striking out three.

Carter Endorf had the lone hit of the game in the loss.


Brandon Valley 11, Madison/Chester 0 (5 innings)

BRANDON — Brandon Valley pounded out 10 hits to run past Madison/Chester in high school baseball action Monday.

Bryton Stroh and Grady Gindorff each had two RBIs on two hits for the Lynx, Brayden Knutson added two hits and an RBI while Ryan Fenton had an RBI on a hit and a walk in the win.

Caleb Severin tossed one shutout inning, striking out the side to take the win on the mound.

For M/C, Casyn Crabtree allowed nine runs on nine hits and a walk in three innings, striking out three in the loss.

Tommy Kurtz and Cale Johnson each had a hit in the loss.


Dakota Valley 14, Elk Point-Jefferson 0 (5 innings)

NORTH SIOUX CITY — Grady Ramos drove in four runs and tossed two shutout innings as Dakota Valley rolled over Elk Point-Jefferson in high school baseball action on Monday.

Ramos batted 3-for-3 with a walk and four RBIs in the win, Tyler Kloucek added two hits and an RBI, Jackson Shoulders and Jack Wiese each recorded an RBI on one hit while Noah Graham had an RBI on a walk in the win.

Ramos took the win on the mound in two shutout innings, striking out three.

For EPJ, Austin Hanson allowed seven runs on three hits and four walks in 1.1 innings in the loss.

Kamden Ellison had the lone hit of the game for the Huskies.


Sioux Falls Roosevelt 14, Sioux Falls Christian 3 (6 innings)

SIOUX FALLS — Sioux Falls Roosevelt pounded out 11 hits to roll Sioux Falls Christian in high school baseball action on Monday.

Lawsen Hensley had three hits, a walk and two RBIs, Tucker DeHaan and Gabe Goebel each had two RBIs on two hits, Tiernan Daly, Austin Cargin and Carson Breidenbach each had an RBI on one hit while Karl Hartmann and Jack Hille each had an RBI in the win.

Hartmann pitched one inning in the win, allowing three runs on two hits and two walks, striking out three.

For SFC, Maddux Monson took the loss, allowing five runs on three hits and four walks in 2.2 innings, striking out six.

Abbott Moeller had an RBI on a hit and a walk in the loss.
