Dell Rapids 20, Baltic 4 (3 innings)

BALTIC — An 11-run third-inning powered Dell Rapids over Baltic in high school baseball action on Tuesday.

Drake Eastman powered the Quarriers with four RBIs on two hits, a homer and a walk, Kenny Swanson and Carson Maeschen each had two RBIs on a hit and a walk, including a double by Maeschen, Thomas LaVoy had two RBIs on two hits and a walk, AJ Brandenburg drove in a run on a hit and a walk while Lincoln LeBrun and Jake Heinitz drove in three combined runs on three walks in the win.

Owen Bollock took the win on the mound in three innings, allowing four runs on four hits and one walk in three innings, striking out two.

For Baltic, Cale Roach allowed seven runs on two hits and five walks in 1.2 innings, striking out one.

Jackson Goehring had two hits and an RBI, Zach Helgeson drove in a run while Elias Oakley tallied two doubles in the loss.


Dell Rapids 12, Clark Area 4

BALTIC — Dell Rapids rolled past Clark Area in the second game of a high school baseball doubleheader on Tuesday.

Gauge Bunkers drove in two runs on a double and a walk, Kenny Swanson added two hits, a walk and an RBI, Jackson Peppel had two hits, a double, and two walks while Drake Eastman, Lincoln LeBrun and Thomas LaVoy each drove in a run on a combined five walks in the win.

Bunkers earned the win on the mound in 6.1 innings of work, allowing two unearned runs on six hits and a walk, striking out eight in the win.

For CA, Watson Grantham surrendered the loss in five innings of work, allowing six runs on six hits and four walks, striking out eight.

Grantham tallied three hits while Teague Stevenson and Jakob Steen each drove in two runs on one hit and one walk in the loss.


Hot Springs 5, Belle Fourche 3

BELLE FOURCHE — Hot Springs held off a late comeback to beat Belle Fourche in high school baseball action on Tuesday.

Jaydon Koffler took the win on the mound for the Bison, allowing one unearned run on three hits and four walks in 5.2 innings, striking out 10.

Brock Schroeder and Koffler each drove in a run on a hit and two walks, including a triple by Schroeder and a double by Koffler, Jaxon Eslinger drove in a run while Devon Busch added two RBIs in the win.

For BF, Carsyn Hahne tossed 6.2 innings of work, allowing two runs on two hits and three walks, striking out nine in the loss.

Tate Thomsen drove in a run on two hits, Trig Thomsen had an RBI on two walks while Daven Kracht added two hits in the loss for the Broncs.


Madison/Chester 9, Elkton-Lake Benton 3

MADISON — Cohen Hahn tossed five strong innings to limit Elkton-Lake Benton in Madison/Chester’s high school baseball win on Tuesday.

Hahn tossed five innings to take the win on the mound, allowing one unearned run on a hit and two walks,striking out five.

Tregg McGillivray, Hahn and Cale Johnson each drove in a run on a hit and a walk, Ryland Johnson added an RBI while Braylon Oftedal recorded two hits, a walk, and an RBI in the win.

For ELB, Sam Schuurman allowed nine runs on five hits and seven walks in 4.2 innings, striking out three in the loss.

Matthew Skime had two RBIs on a single while Schuurman added an RBI-single in the loss.


Canton 17, Scotland/Menno 8

MENNO — Wyette Greenwood recorded five hits as Canton rolled past Scotland/Menno in high school baseball action on Tuesday.

Greenwood batted 5-for-6 with a double, triple, and three RBIs in the win, Jacoby Ulrikson had three RBIs on three hits and a walk, Espn Anderson drove in two runs on two doubles, Theo Meister added three hits, a triple, and two RBIs, Keyvin Strand had two RBIs on a triple and a walk, Kayden Chaulk and Shane Sehr each had an RBI on a hit and a walk while Landon Hill tallied two hits, a double, and a walk in the win.

Theo Meister took the win on the mound in 2.1 innings, allowing four runs on one hit and five walks, striking out five.

For SM, Erick Buechler allowed nine runs on 11 hits and two walks in three innings, striking out four in the loss.

Lane Pavel batted 2-for-4 with a walk, double and three RBIs, Carson Pietz drove in a run on a walk while Destry Hough had an RBI on a hit and a walk in the loss.


Sioux Falls Roosevelt 11, O’Gorman 3 (5 innings)

SIOUX FALLS — Jackson Vortherns and Chris Logue combined for seven RBIs as Sioux Falls Roosevelt defeated O’Gorman in high school baseball action on Tuesday.

Vortherns tallied two hits, a double, and four RBIs while Logue had three RBIs on a triple. Dylan Kreich and Aiden Kocer each tallied an RBI on one hit in the win.

Five different players recorded one inning on the mound in the win for Roosevelt.

For O’Gorman, Dawson Horst took the loss in 2.2 innings, allowing 11 runs on five hits and three walks, striking out three.

Bennett Duncan and Jack Salter each had an RBI on one hit in the loss.
