Sturgis Brown 5, Rapid City Central 4

STURGIS — Kjell Sundstrom’s walk-off single pushed Sturgis Brown over Rapid City Central in high school baseball action on Friday.

Sundstrom finished with two hits, a double, and an RBI in the win while Brody Royer added three walks and an RBI for the Scoopers.

Royer pitched 6.1 innings for SB, allowing one run on five hits and three walks, striking out nine.

For RCC, Nathan Mailloux allowed two unearned runs on two hits and four walks in 4.1 innings, striking out 10.

Steven Solano had two hits, a triple, and an RBI while Benjamin Farnsworth and Asher Jackson each had an RBI on one hit in the loss.


Sturgis Brown 10, Rapid City Central 4

STURGIS — Ethan Cermak collected three RBIs as Sturgis Brown pulled away from Rapid City Central in high school baseball action on Friday.

Cermak batted 2-for-4 with a double and three RBIs in the win while Jack Jolley added an RBI as well.

Cael Pool took the win on the mound for the Scoopers, allowing four runs on six hits and a walk, striking out five in the win.

For RCC, Laken Uttecht allowed seven unearned runs on one hit and five walks, striking out nine in the loss.

Nathan Mailloux and Cayne Gregory each tallied an RBI on one hit while Brody Pourier drove in a run in the loss as well.


Freeman/Canistota/Marion 9, Bon Homme 3

FREEMAN — Oliver Waltner drove in three runs as Freeman/Canistota/Marion ran away from Bon Homme in high school baseball action on Friday.

Waltner batted 2-for-4 with three RBIs in the win, Luke Peters added two hits and an RBI, Riley Gall and Riley Tschetter each had an RBI on a hit and a walk while Hunter Nankivel and Logun Pankratz each drove in a run in the win.

Tayden Kerrigan took the win on the mound in four innings of work, allowing two runs on three hits and six walks, striking out six.

For BH, Madden Merkwan allowed six runs on six hits and a walk in one inning pitched, striking out three.

Major Aarstad had two RBIs on two hits and a walk while Merkwan drove in a run on a double in the loss.


Elkton-Lake Benton 14, Deuel 12

CLEAR LAKE — Elkton-Lake Benton pounded out 14 hits as the Blue Sox beat Deuel in high school baseball action on Friday.

Jack Stein and Eliot Erickson each had three RBIs on three hits, including a double by Stein and a double and triple by Erickson, Sam Schuurman and Wyatt Osland each had two RBIs on two hits, Colt Beck collected two hits while Adam Kinner had an RBI on one hit in the win.

Schuurman took the win on the mound in four innings of work, allowing five runs on four hits and seven walks, striking out four.

For Deuel, Gray Holden allowed 11 runs on nine hits and two walks in 3.2 innings, striking out three.

Owen Larson drove in three runs on two hits and a walk, Owen Haas had an RBI on two hits and two walks, Jayden King collected two RBIs on a hit and two walks while Sutton Benck, Gabe Van Dyke and Jason Ulmer each drove in a run in the loss.


Parkston 15, Mount Vernon/Plankinton/Corsica-Stickney 5

CORSICA — Wyatt Anderson drove in four runs as Parkston rolled past Mount Vernon/Plankinton/Corsica-Stickney in high school baseball action on Friday.

Anderson batted 2-for-4 with a triple and four RBIs, Mason Jervik collected three hits, a triple, and three RBIs, Grady Bowar added two doubles and three RBIs, Johnny Weber had two hits, two walks and an RBI while Gage Reichert, Zach Thuringer and Trey Boettcher each had an RBI on one hit in the win.

Reichert took the win on the mound in three innings pitched, allowing three unearned runs on two hits and six walks, striking out two.

For MVPCS, Mason Degeest allowed eight runs on five hits and three walks, striking out six in five innings to take the loss on the mound.

Jaeryn Denning had two hits, two walks and an RBI, Max Vanden Hoek added two hits while S Williams and Keegan Hill each had an RBI on a hit in the loss.


Beresford Area 9, Canton 3

BERESFORD — Kasen Voss tossed seven complete innings as Beresford Area beat Canton in high school baseball action Friday.

Voss allowed three unearned runs on three hits and three walks, striking out five in a complete game win.

Ethan Bobzin batted 2-for-3 with three RBIs while Noah Schoenfelder, Voss, Cameron Mullinix and John Savey each had an RBI in the win.

For Canton, Ryder Thompson allowed three runs on three hits and two walks in four innings, striking out two.

Wyette Greenwood drove in a run on a walk in the loss.


Spearfish 7, St. Thomas More 0

SPEARFISH — Spearfish shutout St. Thomas More in high school baseball action Friday.

Darin Crooks had two RBIs on two hits, Tucker Olson had two RBIs on a homer and a walk while Walker Viessman and Sean Sewell each had an RBI on a base hit for the Spartans.

Brody McCann took the win on the mound in four shut out innings, allowing one hit and two walks while striking out four.

For STM, Carter Kemp allowed seven runs on five hits and two walks in 2.2 innings to take the loss.

Rush Turner and Hayden Heig each had a hit in the loss.


Yankton 11, Tea Area 1 (5 innings)

YANKTON — Yankton powered out 10 hits in five innings to run past Tea Area for a mercy rule high school baseball win on Friday.

Easton Feser hit a three-run homer in the win, Christian Weier added three hits, a double, and two RBIs, Tate Beste had two hits, including a double, while Beck Ryken and Jackson Kudera each had an RBi on one hit in the win.

Kaden Hunhoff allowed one run on two hits and two walks in 4.2 innings, striking out two in the win.

For TA, Landyn Johnson allowed 10 runs on eight hits and four walks in 4.2 innings, striking out three.

Tyson Gilbert drove in a run on two hits and a walk in the loss.


Yankton 13, Tea Area 4

YANKTON — Carter Boomsma tallied four RBIs as Yankton swept Tea Area in high school baseball action on Friday.

Boomsma batted 2-for-4 with a double, walk, and four RBIs in the win, Jackson Kudera and Simon Kampshoff each had two RBIs on two hits, including a homer by Kampshoff Easton Feser collected three hits and an RBI, Beck Ryken had two RBIs on one hit, Samuel Gokie added two hits and an RBI, Tate Beste added an RBI-walk while Brennen Gilmore totaled two hits and an RBi in the win.

Ryan Turner took the win on the mound in four innings, allowing four runs on five hits and two walks, striking out three.

For Tea Area, Zach Rieland allowed five runs on eight hits and five walks in four innings, striking out three.

Easton Foudray had two hits and two RBIs while Ethan Knettel and Miles Jelen each tallied an RBI on one hit in the loss.


Mitchell 10, Harrisburg 3

MITCHELL — Carter McCormick struck out 10 batters as Mitchell knocked off Harrisburg in high school baseball action on Friday.

McCormick allowed three runs on eight hits and four walks in seven innings, striking out 10 in the win.

Bailor Kristensen drove in three runs on a homer and a walk, Brennen Penne added two RBIs on a double and two walks, Ethan Hegg collected two hits and an RBI, McCormick had two hits while Lincoln Bottum and Stratton Forst each had an RBI on a combined five walks.

For Harrisburg, Nick Riley allowed seven runs on six hits and four walks in 3.1 innings, striking out three in the loss.

Gavin Weir tallied three hits, one double, Bryson Esser added two hits while Griffen Schlapkohl tallied two hits, a double, homer, walk and two RBIs in the loss.


Harrisburg 15, Mitchell 2 (5 innings)

MITCHELL — Harrisburg blew past MItchell to split a high school baseball doubleheader on Friday.

Bryson Esser had three RBIs on three hits in the win, Griffen Schlapkohl added three RBIs on a double and a homer, Brayden Rosenberger and Treydon Hofer each tallied two RBIs on one hit, Madden Wendling drove in two runs while Jaxson Roesler had an RBi on a hit and two walks in the win.

Grady Wolbrink allowed two runs on six hits and two walks in four innings, striking out three for Harrisburg.

For Mitchell, Noah Bennett allowed 11 runs on six hits and four walks in four innings, striking out three in the loss.

Ethan Hegg had two hits, Stratton Forst collected two hits and an RBI while Brennen Penne had an RBI-single in the loss.


Watertown 4, O’Gorman 3

WATERTOWN — Jonathan Lake’s RBI-single pushed Watertown over O’Gorman in walk-off fashion during Friday’s high school baseball action.

Lake tallied two hits, a double, and three RBIs in the win while Markus Pitkin added an RBI on a hit and three walks.

Jackson McClemans took the win on the mound in one inning of relief, striking out one.

For OG, Bennett Bloom allowed one unearned run on three hits and a walk in one inning, striking out one in the loss.

Isaac Tobin, Joey Laible and Parker Scheidt each had an RBI in the loss.


Watertown 12, O’Gorman 2 (5 innings)

WATERTOWN —  Tripp Jorgenson and Jonathan Lake combined for seven RBIs as Watertown rolled past O’Gorman in high school baseball action on Friday.

Jorgenson finished with four RBIs on a homer and walk while Lake added three RBIs on two hits, a double and a walk in the win. Jaxon Falak had two hits, a walk and two RBIs, Markus Pitkin added two hits, a double and a triple, and an RBI, while Cole Hansen and Ashton Rabine each had an RBI in the win.

McClemans earned the win on the mound in 4.2 innings, allowing two runs on five hits and four walks, striking out six.

For O’Gorman, Paxton Sohn allowed nine runs on eight hits and three walks in 3.2 innings, striking out five.

Bennett Duncan and Isaac Tobin each had an RBI-single in the loss.

 

Sioux Falls Lincoln 11, Aberdeen 1 (5 innings)

SIOUX FALLS — Sioux Falls Lincoln collected 10 hits as the Pats beat Aberdeen in high school baseball action on Friday.

Henry Pudwill and Jude Timat each had three RBIs on two hits, including a homer, Colin Lunders had two hits, including a solo homer, Opland Sonnichsen had two hits while Hudson Wiebelhaus added an RBI-double in the win.

Malachi Wright took the win on the mound in five innings of work, allowing one run on one hit and three walks, striking out three.

For Aberdeen, Michael Dutenhoffer allowed 11 runs on 10 hits in four innings of work, striking out two.

Ridley Waldo had the lone hit while Jehiel Aviles drove in a run on a walk in the loss.


Sioux Falls Lincoln 8, Aberdeen 7

SIOUX FALLS — A two-run sixth-inning helped Sioux Falls Lincoln stun Aberdeen in high school baseball action on Friday.

Colin Lunders tallied four RBIs on four hits, including two doubles and a homer, Henry Pudwill added two hits, including a solo homer, Opland Sonnichsen had two hits, a walk and a solo homer while Jude Timat drove in two runs in the win.

Sonnichsen took the win on the mound in 5.2 innings of work, allowing two runs on eight hits and two walks, striking out 11.

For Aberdeen, Wheeler Malsam allowed eight runs on 10 hits and a walk in six innings pitched, striking out four.

Jackson Post had four hits and two RBIs, Jehiel Aviles added three hits, Will Haskell hit a three-run homer while Michael Dutenhoffer added an RBI on a walk in the loss.
