Menno's Ashton Massey claims three first-place finishes at Region 4B meet
Menno's Ashton Massey won three events at the Region 4B on Thursday in Freeman.

FREEMAN — Menno’s Ashton Massey claimed three individual first-place finishes at Thursday’s Region 4B track and field meet. 

The junior won the 100-meter hurdles (:15.78), 300-meter hurdles (:46.56) and triple jump (34-10.5). She was also part of the Wolves' winning 3,200-meter relay team. 

In the team standings, the Menno boys and Centerville girls claimed region titles. 

The Menno boys amassed 159 points, finishing ahead of Viborg-Hurley (127) and Freeman Academy/Marion (91). 

The Centerville girls recorded 156 points, followed by Menno (116) and Freeman (94). 

Menno’s Brayden Sattler (400-meter dash, :52.85), Kadeyn Ulmer (800-meter run, 2:04.32), Owen Eitemiller (pole vault, 12-6) and Cody Munkvold (triple jump, 37-6.5) earned first-place finishes. 

Viborg-Hurley’s Wyatt Huber was a double winner in the 100-meter dash (:11.73) and 200-meter dash (:23.73).

Viborg-Hurley’s Luke Campbell captured first-place finishes in the 110-meter hurdles (:15.63) and 300-meter hurdles (:41.47). 

On the girls side, Alcester-Hudson’s Carly Patrick was a double winner in the 100-meter dash (:13.42) and 200-meter dash (:27.41).
